  I'm looking for information on the Service of Active data or server push.
  
  The only information I found is a Google Talk web client written in ADF (TP4), who no longer works with JDev 11 g.

• ADFBC change - automatic updating using PUSH - Data Service entity Active?

  Jdev Version: 11.1.1.7.1

  Summary of the problem: I have a table in the user interface based on a line of open readonly SQL base tickets showing VO. The queue will be worked by several people of support at the same time. So, it is ideal that the queue Auto - refreshes to collect a ticket from the table in the user interface if someone else picked up the ticket & closed. The UI is equipped with filters - so think the option is to push to an activeOutputText and then refresh the table UI using PPR.

  Ofcourse Poll is an option - but am inclined to PUSH as it seems most optimal.

  But the documentation around the use of live data for ADFBC is very confusing. Most of the examples out there talking about external data sources or a direct change in DB as an event in a first time - not a change of entity as an event trigger object. I have a few queries-

  1. is JMS the only way by which the changes of the entity object can be listened to or is there any other mechanism?

  2. on the binding of the tree on the definition of the page, we see ChangeEventPolicy with an option like "push." When is it useful?

  3. any good example of simple use ADFBC with live data?

  4. is my hypothesis on the af: poll be bad valid? Leave the configured push with "long-polling" is much better than a 'af:poll '.

  I guess you can use any type of mechanism to queue, JMS is 'natural' because that is part of Java EE (so it is included in the Java EE as Weblogic servers)

  Well, that depends on the number of users, refresh rate...

  But for your use case, push is probably much better than af: poll

  Have you thought about putting your VO readonly to the module of the shared application (to the level of the application): Sharing of Instances of the Application Module View (this was also supported for notifications of changes unnecessary db)?

  I do not think that the Oracle BPM Worklist using ADF ADS to automatically refresh the queue of the user (you must manually click the Refresh button).

• Grid d? infrastructure is needed for Active Data Guard fast failover?

  I'm currently deploying an Active Data Guard of 11 GR 2 configuration with a captain and two slaves physical standby and failover accelerated for a Java JDBC application. Each instance has a read-only service that is always active and a service of reading / writing that is activated only on the master:

  Initially, I had planned to use the Service of Notification of Oracle (ONS) to notify the application in case of change of master, that works, however, after a few tests, it seems that simply leave the retry request enough times in the case of a connection failure is sufficient to re-connect to the new master afterwards, in order to complete any pending transaction.

  So my question is: since I plan not to use ADD-ONS, do I have the grid infrastructure and Oracle Restart at all to deploy Active Data Guard? The documentation does not explicitly require it, and all the necessary tools, including srvctl, exist in the plain 11 GR 2 home. However the mechanism of activation/deactivation of the service will work without restart? To be honest, I don't think it would be, but that this would simplify the deployment, a little, I thought it would be good to ask :-)

• OIM 11 g database using Active Data Guard recovery

  Someone did he do IOM database failover configuration using the active data guard.
  
  Here are the details
  • Two application in primary servers and one in secondary sites
  • Two databases one in primary and the secondary sites.
  • Two application servers point to the primary database.
  • There is an Active Data Guard set up between primary and secondary data.
  • Secondary database is in stand-by mode.
  • Unique CNAME is configured and actively points to the primary database.
  • Failover of the database, the principal is down and the secondary database is marketed as primary and CNAME is changed to point to the secondary database.
  • All the data sources in Weblogic are configured to use CNAME.
  
  The problem here is the SID. In the primary, we have JSQOIM1P and in the secondary, the SID is JSQOIMDR.
  
  So when we switch the error we get is unknown TNS name like Weblogic data sources don't know the JSQOIMDR.
  
  How do configure us the failover in this scenario?

  I was able to achieve this by setting up a unique service name pointing to the primary db SID and the same name of unique service on the secondary db pointing to the db secondary sid.

  I just read on the new Oracle RAC one node but ddont get the difference to the active data guard.

Oracle calls its strategy a "Maximum Availability Architecture" - when a customer adds redundancy, the database can use it for additional performance.   Why should I use RAC for the filesystem of database if they are on a San in any case - assuming the SAN extends to different places? It seems to be that a good SAN makes the idea of 'Extended RAC' a bit useless.

  If you already have a San that "extends to different places", you have protection against disaster with that if you put your data files on it, this is true even for a single instance respectively a one RAC node configuration.

  In both cases, you only have a single instance active - in other words, a single server can be used to service your needs of the user. With a true - in this case 'Extended' CARS, you can have multiple servers at the same time access to your data that is stretched across your San as your needs of the service user.

  In short: If you want to have the only disaster protection, you are served already with your stretched SAN - as long as it extends to a large enough distance.

  An extended RAC is not useless, however, because the cab is more than high availability.

• Watches of switch resets the activity data?

  Switching between my two watches resets activity data and replaces the data on the iPhone. Go back to the first watch updated the iPhone to see again all activities and achieved the objectives for the day but it now shows double badges for the longest series of movement and intelligence shows me have resisted for only 8 hours, even if the chart has 13.   Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to correct the incorrect activity data? My wife has reduced its objectives to about 200 calories per day just to experiment with the application activity and she is still unable to achieve this goal, unless it's one day, she does a workout. She's up and down of the markets all day at work (which certainly would increase the heart rate to be considered exercise.)

  Just curious to know if there is something you miss. You need to be a vegetable not to burn 200 calories per day. Objectives of settlement also work when they feel like it.

• Move the "Data Service" volume ZFS on OSX Server

  Hi all

  I would like to move all the data service to a ZFS volume on a Mavericks OSX Server. This option can be found here:
  Server.app-> your server-> settings
  and is called "Data Service". As someone has already done this? It works or what I have to do a manual config, whenever the server restarts?

  So I'll answer my own question.  The answer is no, in fact, the app Server does not detect even the zfs volume.  I also try to cheat and to synchronize the/Library/Server volume ZFS and softlink then the original file to the copy of the zfs volume, but App Server would no longer work.

  Then Mac OS x still don't like ZFS much.

  I reformatted the drive with appleRAID, and then I could move everything using the button in the application.  I noticed that this original file is still there.  If it's really just an arrangement written somewhere.  Anyone know where this parameter is written?  Maybe I could get data on the ZFS drive sync and write this setting by hand.

  I just installed Windows Server 2012. After you have added the DNS and Active Directory functions/roles on the server, I noticed that the Active Directory service is not running, but it is disabled. When I try to start the service, I get the error - The Active Directory Domain Services service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

  Any ideas what could cause this?
