Add "Site Search" Google Analytics

Part of the powerful reports Google Analytics includes key words which were consulted on a Web site.

This is a snippet of code that they include in their support page:

When users search your site, their queries are usually included in the URL. For example, if you use Google to search on the phrase mountain view, you see q =(the Google query parameters), followed by your query:

http://www.Google.com?hl=en & q = Mountain + View ...

If your site uses categories, the same principle applies. You can also contact your webmaster to determine the setting of application for your site.

However, on the BC sites that include the results of the research there are not such a URL parameter or research.

On the site, I'm looking to add search measure on is:

http://o2lpm.com/default.aspx?SiteSearchID=-1 & ID = / website/Search

Does anyone know the setting correct search at the entrance in order for Google follow the keywords searched on your site correctly?

Perhaps a little late in the day now, but I was watching it today and managed to find what I consider an elegant solution.

According to the analytical Google Help Center:

Post-base set up Site search for search engines

If you use a search engine post-base, your search result URL would look like:

http://www.yoursite.com/search_results.php

You have two options to use the Site search to search post-basé engine:

Option 1: Configure your web application to add the keywords of query at the end of the URL (for example, http://www.yoursite.com/search_results.php?q=keyword) and then implement Site search as described in the previous section.

====

Thus, by adding some javascript to the search form you can simple add the search term in the URL of the results page.  Like this:

onsubmit = "processSearch (this) ' action =" / Default.aspx? SiteSearchID = 2846 & PageID = {module_oid}& keywords =' > '.

{module_searchresults}

.... Now, when the results are displayed, you will see the URL, default.aspx? 2846 = SiteSearchID & PageID = 9219352& keywords = London.  So you can now set this within Google Analytics

    Hello

    Please check if this happens in a new profile. If it's good, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings to another separate location of the files/folder. A new profile would default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and topic: config ) and usually also would be vacuum of Extensions and themes (appearance) in tools > Add-ons) and their parameters. In addition, a new profile would have no previous website stored data/settings etc, (Tools > clear recent history).

  • Can I paste the same Code of Google Analytics on the desktop, Tablet and phone pages on my site, or create a new property for each?

    Can I paste the same Code of Google Analytics on the desktop, Tablet and phone pages on my site, or create a new property for each?

    I generated the code and created the property in GA I placed the code in the HTML < head > page properties metadata of my MUSE desktop file.  I am past the same code in the same place for the page of the Tablet and phone or do we get new code?

    I'm assuming that the code is the same for all pages of the Web site as long as they are within the same domain?

    I'm trying to confirm.

    Thank you!

    Yes, you will need this same code applied to all pages you want to track. Simplest is to add to your Master Pages rather than individual pages.

  • Correct procedure to add your site to Google the site once finished?

    What is the order of the procedure for Google once you have finished your Muse site?

    It's probably much too complicated, but here what I just did:

    (1) over the site and downloaded through Muse on my FTP

    (2) adds the domain my Google Analytics page. Got the Analytics code and pasted into my site. Re downloaded of the site a second time now, I have the analytical code in Muse. (I guess you can't get the analytical code before downloading your site the first time because you site had to be 'live'?)

    (3) check the site via the webmaster tools by downloading the file google on the/public folder of my site. Visit the link to complete the audit.

    (4) submit an analysis for portable versions of my site via Google Webmaster Tools.

    (5) submit a sitemap through webmaster tools

    Maybe too much or unconsciously repeat me. Can someone give advice?

  • How to add Google Analytics event tracking to a pdf download or play the video by Muse code

    I want to be able to use a test of Athletics of Google Analytics code to track downloads of documents PDF and video plays on my Muse built Web site. It seems that the code must be added to each object, rather than in the header where lives the mode page GA tracking code. Is there a solution or how to use the tracking code in the header? Thank you!

    Hi Gary,.

    You must Access the source link code to do so. You can then add the event tracking code to each PDF you want to track.

    A handy tool to generate the event tracking code can be found here.

    If you do not have access to the HTML body, you can try using Google tag Manager , although it is a little more complicated!

    Hope that helps.

    I would like to follow the button clicks and the link on my site to Muse that lead to external websites. For example - by clicking on a 'Buy Now' button on my site from Muse leads to 3rd part of page Web. Is it possible to add Google Analytics in these Articles? I already have the GA code integrated on my main site, but it gives me all the data about the button clicks or any other type of event. Any information would be appreciated!

    Hello

    I can't make any promises in that regard. Our team is already to check it out and work on it. The best solution to implement this will be your site in html export, and using a code editor, you can apply your features.

    You run Kaspersky, correct? If you use the SSL scanning feature, Firefox must be put in place to approve the present Kaspersky false certificate to decrypt your secure connections. If you used the discount during the last update function - for example, Firefox says it's a bad performance and offers to restore some default settings - you have to do it again the installer of Kaspersky/Firefox.
