Add TD350 drive in RAID5

We try to add a drive on our new TD350 to a RAID5. This was previously created and works very well. There are two additional disks available.

How can we add those toes RAID5. We find no option in Deployment Manager. Or we found no documentation on the Deployment Manager itself.

The server starts in mode UEFI and shows not all guests for the RAID Bios.

It's the whith modell AnyRAID 720ix adapter.

Good to hear. Glad you figured it out.

I was able to download 'raid-drv-qog20-xp - 1380.zip', but I'm afraid to look if my laptop has a floppy drive... How can I add the driver did not have a floppy drive?

    Hello

Maybe a stupid comment, but if you can buy Qosmio G30 I presume that you can also get a used floppy disk. I did this a few times with Vista and Qosmio G30 and it works well.

Check eBay. You will get the drive used for a few euros. Otherway tries to create CDs and if the RAID drive must travel to ODD, I didn't try because I have a FDD, but you can test it on your Qosmio.

Installing XP will have different drivers from the motherboard installed on the old hard drive; so it would probably not start.

It would take a clean install (if XP drivers are available for your newer computer), according to the XP license:

If XP was preinstalled on your computer, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of XP OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of XP at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

  • VMDK is not displayed when you add the drive but shows on browse the data store

This may be a simple solution but my forehead hurts to hit my head against the wall and need your expert help.

Environment: running ESX 4.0 with 4 nodes in the cluster.  Each node in the cluster has only one HBA card with double fiber connections that connect to both sides of FC SAN.  There is not a fiber between nodes and SAN switch, so direct connect.  Built two systems to support Exchange 2007 using the CCS.  Using a FC SAN to shared disk space and iSCSI for disk space not shared.

Problem: have added 5 player glow spaces on System #1 using RDM and they appear.  Try to load the same readers in the System #2.  I am able to load 4 readers in the System #2 but the 5th disc (which is in fact the reader 3rd in the series) refuses to show when I added the player.  The change settings - & gt; Add Hard Drive - & gt; Use the existing - & gt; Open the data store and the folder where the virtual machine from the system files and the folder where the LUN mapping lie as they are stored with the system.  But at the opening of this file the LUN mapping in question is absent.  All others appear.  However when I right click to browse the data store outside of the settings and go to the folder where the LUN mapping for the virtual drive and it appears.

    Attempts to resolve:

    (1) have removed the drive and delete system #1 data store and we readded to the system = & gt; nothing.

    (2) removed the disk without delete system data store #1 and it added (thus creating two virtual disks in the file for the system to the same LUN... xxx_3.vmdk and xxx_7.vmdk) = & gt; without success.  (xxx_3.vmdk, nor xxx_7.vmdk appear when trying to add a player)

    (3) tried to use a system not intended within the CSC Exchange cluster, attemtped to add the xxx_3.vmdk or xxx_7.vmdk and both appear as an option.

I am at a total loss.  Do I need to trash the system no. 2 and rebuild?  Is there a problem of possible system configuration #2 that does not allow him to see the two virtual drives?  The #2 system configuration is corrupt?  Do I have to power System #2 power on and off and then try to add readers?  I can the virtual cycle vCenter system?  Or I am much more of a noob that the answer is with myself and I can't see it?  Any help would be welcome.

When you want to use RDM on hosts, please make sure lun the same number on hosts.

for example you have assigned the lun 3 host A storage, make sure that it is also the lun 3 to host b.

Let me know if it does not

  • Need help to add hard drives

So here's what I have... Windows 7 - & gt; VMware Server 2.0 - & gt; Windows Home Server virtual machine

Trying to add additional hard disks, see just plugged and windows 7 (host), but when I try to add a drive to the virtual computer it shows me only the available pool from the original hard drive... Im sure that I add these drives to the host via the applet web but just can't figure out how? If anyone can help... thx!

Looks like you need to add a new data store to take advantage of the space on these new readers. Ensure that any data store that you add is available when the VMware services beginning, like at the start, especially if you have virtual computers autostart stored on them.

For me, because I am familiar with the disk partitioning, I would just to repartition the disk.  Depends on your comfort level.  method 1 is the "safest".

  • Add hard drive to the Pavilion e9240f

Can I add another internal hard drive to my HP Pavilion e9240f that works under Windows 7 64-bit?  I'm looking to acquire another "Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 32 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive WD10EADS" to complete the original, but I need to know if a drive location and connectivity is available for the disc.  I took a peek inside the case and there seems to be available, but I want to be sure before venturing forward.  In addition the original hard drive, my PC has 2 CD/DVD players.

    Hello

I have the same case with my HP e9280t and it is supplied for two hard disks.  You will need a SATA data cable.  The motherboard has six SATA ports, so you won't have to question to find an empty SATA port.

The specifications for the Commission on the motherboard shows SATA I and SATA II ports.  You should be OK with the SATA III disc as I have not seen any problems with SATA III drives on SATA II ports.  I've seen some laptops have problems with SATA III SSD on SATA channels.

Check with Western Digital and see if you need to apply an update to the firmware on the hard disk.  I see that HP has a firmware for this drive, but I don't know if it will work on your particular WD drive.

Be sure to do a full format on the hard drive.

    ' HP ' how-to ' articles should be useful.

  • IX4 - 300 d add HARD drive

I bought an IX4 - 300 d without hard disk and first I install a Raid 0 with 2x1To HDD. Now I add a new 1 to HDD and change for Raid 5, the ix4 recognize my new HARD drive and show TB of space in the State of the system, buy I can't use this space...
The IX - 4 d 300 does not use that extra space.

    Any idea?

    concerning

Readers need to be of the same manufacturer, otherwise the unit can accept them. This is because having discs with different specifications can cause problems with the RAID.

  • How to add hard drive for HP Envy Phoenix 810-135qe CTO.

My previous Pavalion motherboard failed and I ordered the current desktop.  I have the hard drive of the defective system.  He had the same operating system, windows 7, 64 bit, like this again.  I know some information about adding HDD to envy again.  No info on the motherboard or connections.  P5 and P6 power connectors are avilable for additional hard disks.  I see there are some open sata connectors on the motherboard, but need more info and direction on which one to use, or if things do, etc..  before I add the hard drive.

Use any header open SATA on the motherboard that you want to use. As long as you don't make changes to the current boot order in the BIOS and save the changes, it will not count.

What model of laptop do you have? What's second location of HARD disk available?

What you need is the HARD disk enclosure. Something like this. It is not easy to know what part number, there, but you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and order the right one.

    Win 10 64 os 4 GB (2 sticks)

1 hard drive, 1 CD Rom

Problem is that I don't have the bolts that hold the drive to the cage or a tray to hold the player in the box under the CD-ROM drive.

Where can I get these bolts Silver/Blue and the tray?

  • HP Pavilion PC 13-p120nr x 2 - Add hard drive

Have a new PC HP Pavilion of the 13-p120nr x 2-4 GB of RAM (chip of DMM3 RAM 8 GB already on the way), with 64 GB SSD.

    Issues related to the:

-Can I add a HD if it did not come with one initially? (slim model? or a SSD HD as with other models split X 2?)

-True IF, what guidance for HP kit? (for the HD or HD SSD? Estimated costs for the HD, Kit, or both?

-Kit drive HARD HP includes the hard drive, or is it just some kind of support for the reader?

-Is simply an addition of 'plug and play' (by simply taking the back off, install the support and HD in him plugging in and pressing power WE?) Technically not incompetent, but not a nerd from unix/linux/.NET of power or the other.

-(More stupid Q no doubt) addition HD works in parallel with the memory of the State solid 64 GB already installed? Or does it come to the top as a drive "E:" or "X:" or something else?

Best regards to all, thank you in advance for reading and answers. See you soon! Bob W, Bristol, RI, USA.

Geez - Noone has information about this X 2 things? Or is it noone has anything on this particular model (13-p120nr x 2 PC)? Anyone? Thoughts? (or less suggestions on where to find suite learn more?)

    Hello BobW-Bristol-Rl

I understand that you are trying to update your 13-p120m x 2 HP Pavilion PC and deals with the requirements for adding a SSD HD or HARD drive? Here I quote the User Guide for your laptop "for the additional capacity or features, connect an external drive (sold separately), such as an optical drive or a hard disk, or insert a card directly from your phone or your camera.» This information has been retrieved from page 50 of your user manual.

As well as the manual says to your laptop, it's that you cannot add a second internal hard drive, but you can add external references those. I myself have 2 drives external hard one that I use as a return to the top of the storage device and the other as another operating system on it.

Now if you are looking to replace your current SSD, I found nothing which limit the size or who says that you can't switch the internal SSD flash disk. I am including the Guide of Installation SSD HP Upgrade Kit for you to look at and see if it is an option for you.

One last note, if you are inexperienced in this kind of replacement I wouldn't recommend what to do yourself. Local computer repair shops may charge you to do, but you know it's done properly, and it is not as expensive as replacing the entire notebook.

I hope I answered your questions and wish you good luck. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • 5510 Precision add hard drive

I am trying to add a hard drive SSD SATA 2.5 "to my new laptop of precision 5510.

I need to order the inserter/adapter required hard drive and bumper rails to do this.

I did chat and phone calls to the Dell sales without success to get the correct part numbers.

In my opinion, that these photos represent the parts I need. They are drawn from this thread to another owner - 5510

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/threads/Dell-precision-5510-owners-review.784464/

First picture shows the bumper shock side to hold the reader safely in the hard drive bracket - I have the disc and Calliper - and the leap card/card.

Second picture is the leap card/card.

Can anyone provide me with the required for any of the two references. The adpeter is the most critical.

    Thank you

    @Community,

I can confirm that XDYGX is the cable for the disks of 2.5 inches for the XPS 9550 systems and precision 5510.

3XYT5 is the side rubber insulator (there are 2 of them):

3FDY3 is the HDD bracket (some units may already have this installed):
