Add the name of the file description

Hello

We have a droplet images opening, change their color profiles, flaterning, etc one by one.

This droplet, mainly with a signle script, is finally going to also change the names of files.

I want to retain the file name of each picture in his "description of metadata.

I saw it was douable in Bridge as shown below, can even be done in Photoshop cs6?

  1. #target bridge
  2. If (BridgeTalk.appName == 'bridge') {}
  3. FT = MenuElement.create ("command", "Add to Description file name", "at the end of the tools");
  4. }
  5. FT.onSelect = function () {}
  6. var = app.document.selections inches;
  7. if(!thumbs.) Length) return;
  8. If (ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript == undefined) ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject("lib:AdobeXMPScript");
  9. for (var a helping hand in) {}
  10. var selectedFile = .spec inches [a];
  11. var FileName = replace decodeURI (selectedFile.name) (/ \.) [ ^\.] +$/, '')
  12. var myXmpFile = new XMPFile (selectedFile.fsName, XMPConst.UNKNOWN, XMPConst.OPEN_FOR_UPDATE);
  13. var myXmp = myXmpFile.getXMP ();
  14. var / / Desc = [];
  15. var count = myXmp.countArrayItems (XMPConst.NS_DC, "description");
  16. for (var i = 1; i < = count; i ++) {}
  17. DESC.push (myXmp.getArrayItem (XMPConst.NS_DC, "description", i));
  18. }
  19. DESC = DESC. ToString() + "" + file name;
  20. myXmp.deleteProperty (XMPConst.NS_DC, "description");
  21. myXmp.appendArrayItem (XMPConst.NS_DC, "description", Desc, 0, XMPConst.ALIAS_TO_ALT_TEXT);
  22. myXmp.setQualifier (XMPConst.NS_DC, 'description [1]', 'http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace"," lang"," x - default "" ");
! important; background-color: inherit; "> If (myXmpFile.canPutXMP (myXmp)) {}
  • myXmpFile.putXMP (myXmp);
  • myXmpFile.closeFile (XMPConst.CLOSE_UPDATE_SAFELY);
  • }
  • }
  • }
  • If you want to save the name of the file in the description field, just use in Photoshop:

    var doc = activeDocument;
    doc.info.caption = doc.name

      How to do this. I can only find information up to Dreamweaver CS3.

      Appreciate your comments.

      It should be to...

    • Firefox does not add the file on the file extension registration

      When I ask to save a file, the Save dialog for Firefox removes the file extension (for example, 'doc', 'pdf', "ofx") of file name, and I have to manually add it back. Earlier versions don't behave this way.

      You can try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder.

    • iTunes 12.3.3.17 is no longer adds the files correctly

      Hi all

      Since the upgrade to iTunes every time 12.3.3.17 than adding files to iTunes it doesn't sort the files correctly. Already if you have added a TV show, for example, it would submit it as follows:

      TV Shows-> name-> season of the Show TV show-> then add it here.

      for example, she wants that Stargate Atlantis as:

      TV Shows-> Stargate Atlantis-> season 1-> all eps season 1

      TV Shows-> Stargate Atlantis-> season 2-> all eps season 2

      TV Shows-> Stargate Atlantis-> season 3-> all the season 3 eps etc.

      Movies would look like this:

      Movies-Terminator-> folder >

      Movies-> Terminator 2-> folder

      Now, it's only TV production such as:

      TV Shows-> Stargate Atlantis-> all files at this level

      And movies like:
      Movies-> at this level

      I have not changed the settings before the upgrade and it worked as it should.

      Anyone else having this problem? No workaround to make solutions of this act as it should?

      In addition, I am the music is not saved in the folder "music".

      Rather it is recorded in "iTunes-> iTunes media-> all music located here on the album records"

    • Using script - library locked when you try to add the file to it

      Hello

      I'm just a simple script that I can run with my engines of the action, so if I add new enum values I can create new wrappers quickly. I am able to create a new VI on disk, but when I try to add the the VI to the library, I get "error 1562: library, or the specified project is locked." Just before adding the article, I tried to adjust the State of the library "Not locked", but has not been the tower.

      Directions to see the error:

      Open attached zip file

      Open 'Engine.lvlib Action '.

      Run "Script - Create Wrapper.vi.

      Please let me know how to get around this, I thank you,

      Gregory

      There are two reasons at least a library locks: 1) something he possesses is running, 2) is open in two or more instances of the application.  (This applies to classes too.)

      I started a project and took your scripts out of the library (to avoid the #1) and then open your Library Reference by path in your script, be sure to include the reference of the application (to avoid the #2).

      Works now.  (With the exception of the Init.vi but you mentioned earlier that you knew about it. But point 1 and 2 of article work fine.)

    • WMP 11 does not add the files in folders, I got to watch, and does keep a record of the aforementioned files.

      When trying to get windows media player to watch records, going "file > add to library > advanced options > add" WMP responds in any way and when I reopen it add it to the dialogue of the library, the files I've selected are no longer in the box. Apparently, there is no record of me even after selecting the folders. I restarted WMP several times, and I get the same result. Any help is appreciated. I'll answer all the questions, if not immediately, then soon.

    • ADD THE FILE TO A DIFFERENT FILE

      How can I add my edited images in 1 file to another file so that I can burn on a dvd of the singular? I tried to drop the media, add multimedia elements in the file and I get a message saying file not supported or codec installed not correct.  I do not understand that only the 2 separate files play on their own.  Any advice would be appreciated.

      To print a standard DV file, use the Publish & share/computer/AVI for each segment of your movie.

      Then start a new project using the project DV settings and combine the elements to produce a single DVD.

      They don't have to teach you how to use this program?
      I suggest you go through the tutorials within sqldev first aid.
      Basically, you can just open them via file - open, or through Windows Explorer. Then, assign him the login in the upper right and run the Script (F5).

    • How to add the file to the existing catalog

      Hello:

      How to add a new file already existing catalogue? If I using the regular method "-> import library", the old files will disappear.

      Thank you

      Images to be imported into Lightroom. When you go through the import process, when it has finished, it will seek you images of the previous import (import you just made). It's normal. If you look at the different sections on the left side of the library module, you'll see that "Previous import" is one of the sections. You will also notice that there is another section called "files". If you choose this section, you will be able to see the other folders that you have imported.

    • Add the file to the library

      I got an error that a file was not part of a library he claims make part of. In fact, it is a .lvclass not a lib. The archives, I saw how to drag and drop a file in a library. This method worked for a single file. Then I tried to put another file in another .lvclass.  It will not fall into the destination. When I tried to do to "save under" it would allow only a new llb.

      Any ideas?

      Thank you

      JVH

      The fixed. He has been associated with a class, but wasn't really in the class I guess. I unplugged and then managed to drop into the private directory.

    • How can I have the file name as visible caption on the photo

      I have several hundred digital images that I have edited and saved with a meaningful file name.  I would like to produce a slide show and then burn to DVD with the name of the file as a legend, preferably (but not necessarily) without the file name extension (for example, my photo.jpg would show as 'my picture').

      I (Pinnacle Studio) software that will import photos or DVD, and I'll create my slide show with Studio, since I am familiar with this software, but the Studio does not automatically create captions.  Re-type the captions for each slide will be intensive work and maybe isn't necessary.  I have a couple of programs that will produce a legend using the file name, but they are old and do not have an option to burn a DVD - only to run the slide show from the software owner.  I also Ulead FT 6 and Adobe PS Elements 6.  I am running Vista and have another computer with XP, so I have the photo editing software that comes with those.  I haven't found something that will prepare a folder of photos by file name as legend I can burn on a DVD.

      searching on the Internet I found a few programs for sale that seem to have the ability to do what I want, but I have hundreds of programs, and I don't want to buy another for only this seemingly simple task.  There are shareware/freeware/trialware which will allow me to display the file name as captions for photos and then burn a DVD or create a file that I can burn it with Nero for import into Studio 12 or 14 Studio?

    • Creative Cloud Lightroom import records show that year and not the name of the file that I created

      When I import files from an SD card to Lightroom, I import to an external drive as my file.  Indicates the name of the folder to the year (2015) and not the name of the file that I created (Fort Worth, 12152015).  This has happened with every import that I've done so far.  How can I fix it?

      The copy option is used to copy the files from your camera card. The Add option is used when the files are already on your hard drive. They must be copied, just added to the Lightroom Catalog. You can simply add the files that are located on a map of the camera. They must be copied to the hard drive first.
