Add to an existing PDF... Do NOT combine...

We have just installed Adobe DC on all our computers.  We have already created PDF docs it takes often add scanned a new page or two that work is progressing on a project.  All previous Acrobat programs allowed us to add an analysis of the existing. It seems that we can only "combine" with DC?  Too many steps to create a new scan with one or two pages, mix, then he must go back and remove the new scan.  Help!

Hello

Please, try the following:

Open the PDF in Acrobat ms

Go to file > create > PDF from Scanner > Custom Scan

Select it your entry as sides, color Mode, scan, options etc.

In the output pane, add to the existing file or portfolio must be selected for the PDF which is open

Now scan the document in PDF format, it will be added to the currently open PDF format

Thank you

Abhishek

  • Adding Pages scanned in existing PDF files

    Hi all

I'll try to find a way to add new pages to existing PDF file.

Is it possible to scan new pages directly to the existing PDF file?

According to the current help files, it shows in the following 2 ways:

    1. combine multiple files of multiple type after scanning and save the file to the local computer.

    2. let continue scanning when scanning additional pages.

But how we can scan the new pages in existing file and the open PDF.

    Concerning

    Kirubaa

You use what Version of Acrobat? For Acrobat 11.0.4 If you have a PDF document is opened and as you scan a document it will automatically add to the existing PDF. For other versions, you must go to custom scan and select "Add to the existing file or portfolio" whenever you want to add.

How can I add white space between areas that contain text fields?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.

I'm trying to change an existing PDF. I need to add white space between areas that contain text fields to allow these areas to be developed and do not overlap the text and the text below fields.

    For example:

    1. 1.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 2.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 3.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 4.

    Progress/strategies:

The space between each 'progress/strategies' increasing needs. A text field is under each of them. If it's a Word doc, I could just press on enter. What is the best way to do this with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

There is no easy way to do it. You need to move the text fields more apart and if there are static elements, then you will need to use the tool edit text & Images to move them, separately.

  • How to add a programmaticaly code PDF to an existing PDF?

How we programmatically add code PDF to an existing PDF? Background: I produce technical manuals of the aircraft. Datalogics composer allows us to compose lists of control of the aircraft in the form of PDF files for printing. The customer wants to view the ACL on a Mini IPad and interactively check boxes and fill in the fields of the IPad. Ideally, we would apply the interactive PDF code for PDF composed in a composition program after. I don't know if this is possible, and I don't know where to start looking. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

What do you mean by "a composition program after '? If you mean Acrobat, then you can add form fields using a script.

  • Help!  Can I add an additional field to an existing PDF form?

I have an existing PDF I created from a Word Doc and have made this PDF file in a form with many drop-down list fields, specially formatted fields, fields, ect.

Now I need to add another field of this form (i.e. a table "office use only"), however I don't want to do it in the Word Doc, convert to PDF and then having to recreate the PDF form from scratch, I did a huge amount of work, the creation of all fields in the form.

Is there a way I can make the necessary changes to my Word Doc, covert, he to a new PDF and then merge to my existing PDF, while keeping all the form fields is just to add an additional field that and as I can then turn it into form fields?

I already tried - to create the table in Word, print screen, save it in JPEG format and insert into my existing PDF.  The picture is not as crispy as it should be and looks like a ' add to ' I don't really want to.

The table I want to insert has formatting special meets a company style guide, so I really need to create it in Word to keep the required formatting.

    HELP PLEASE!

    Hi jlgrobbelaar,

Yes, you can use the Replace Pages to keep all the form fields and scripts, as they are now in your original PDF.  Here is a tutorial on the use of Pages - replace

    https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-replace-the-background-pages-in-a-PDF-form

If you add your new field/area to the form results in changes of layout for the form then you may need to move the fields in place, but it's better than having to add everywhere.

    Hope this helps,

    Dimitri

What product Adobe do I need to add page numbers to an existing PDF?

I agree with Adobe PDF Pack.  This provides me with what I need?

    Hi questioner_00001,

To edit a PDF file, such as adding page numbers, you need Acrobat. PDF Pack does not offer this feature. You can try Acrobat free for 30 days if you wish. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • Combine files to a single PDF does not recognize the .ai files. If this happens?

Im working with .ai files and I was wondering if I were to convert before a meet in a single PDF file? When I "Combine files into a single PDF" the finder window does not display the .ai files. I was wondering if that is supposed to happen? It is absolutely necessary first convert them to PDF format?

You can always store as .ai files and should. But create a PDF file for the feature of the combine. Just to be sure, have you tried to open a .ai file in Acrobat (not combine) and doing a job? I do not suspect. If this isn't the case, then it is clear that you must first create the PDF file for the graphic illustrator. Acrobat cannot convert automatically all types of files as PDF documents, but only selected application files. I'm not sure that the illustrator files are a selected application. You seem to assume that Acrobat should be able to open any file and it is not the case.

  • Anyone know if the Adobe Pro 11 program allows you to remove and rebonding of new tables in the existing PDF documents?

Anyone know if the Adobe Pro 11 program allows allows you to remove and re - paste new tables in the existing PDF documents?

    Hi span Structures.

Acrobat Pro XI allows to edit/insert text and images, but it is not intended to do some heavy lifting in this Department. And, there is really no way to modify the tables in Acrobat, because they are generally made of individual vector lines that you cannot fill.

If you have many changes to make, or want to add/remove a table, you better make these modifications in the source application and by recreating the PDF file.

In safari how do I know if the site I bookmark is an existing already or not?

I bookmarked many sites and it is very difficult to follow and to organize because safari does not indicate if the site is set bookmark or not.

    I think it's a very obvious feature.

I really don't understand why safari does not offer this feature simple when all other browsers.

If anyone knows an extension that will solve this problem please let me know.

Don't know if someone is having a similar sense of frustration about this Apple let it please. Apple - Safari - Feedback

PS I know that I can search in bookmarks menu, but I find it very very inefficient.

Unfortunately, you can not in Safari. You can see the App Store for a bookmark duplicate finder app.

Also, since you favorite many sites and it is difficult to keep track of, you might have better luck using the Firefox Web browser

  • The printer does not exist or is not available to this error message. Help, please!

    Hello

I have a photosmart C310 premium which has been working perfectly.

It is connected to my computer via wifi. For a few days when I try to print, I get this message:

The printer does not exist or is not available at this time.

However, when I go to my homepage of HP printer, it prints the test page and also contacted my printer, if I want to analyze.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • Either the file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use.

I'll do that as a separate issue because I think that, ultimately, it is this error that is causing me so many problems in InDesign.

    Scenario...

New Document > drag a CC library item into the document > save the document and close InDesign > open the document, the error message...

"This document contains < number > links to sources that are missing.  You can find or reedit the missing links using the links Panel. »

When you attempt to link the missing links again...

"The file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use."

When you remove the link to the document and try to reinsert it draws CC...

"The file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use."

All this becomes a major problem when trying to output the document in PDF format, which is asking our printer.  The binding elements are given white background and they are of poor quality, too.

Is this a known bug?  I see a lot of messages about it, which goes back to 2012!, but no solutions to this day.

I hope someone can help.  Thank you.

    > I'll try things that you suggest, but what is most concerning is that this library works with new documents - library items don't report any error.  So why he pointed out problems in a single document display paths and which are all correct?

The problem could be in the InDesign document, in that you move the data from the library?

Try saving this file as a file IDML (to clean possible corruption), and then reopen it in a new document and try again.

  • How can I add page numbers to PDF in Adobe Reader ms?

I'm used to be able to add page numbers to PDF with an older version of the player. How can I do that in DC?

    Hi elizabethc54956057,

It is not possible to add page numbers to PDF with Adobe Reader.

You may use the software Adobe Acrobat for the same thing.

Se, Reader cannot do this. You can do it with a subscription to services pack pdf or the full version of Adobe Acrobat.
