Adding a SCSI drive to Windows 2003 Web Server

Can someone provide me with a diagram to install additional hard disks in a VM Ware Workstation using Windows 2003 Web Server.

I use the demo version of Workstation 6.5. I would like to add to the readers of more the C:"" drive.

So far, I created using the VM & gt; Setting & gt; Material & gt; Add.

Instructions explain to use partitioning and formattting tools in the operating system

When I go to computer management & gt; Device Manager the two additional disk as VMware, VMware Virtual SCSI disk

It seems that they are already formatted. The drive letter for them do not appear in my computer. Where is the tool for partitioning and formatting?

How can I go to the system BIOS/CMOS settings to see newly created the associated drive letter and the virual drive configurations?

Click in the console and F2 on boot or bios.forceSetupOnce = "TRUE" can be inserted into a VMX file.

Kind regards

Hello. I installed the trial versions of 2014 CC Photoshop and Lightroom 5.6 (ie the plan of photography) on a desktop computer that I've added a new drive in Windows 7. Everything works fine BUT it's an old computer and I think he could pack up unexpectedly. These things are happening. I want to sign up for the plan of photography but I also a Windows Vista laptop, and it's old too so I can put apps on a new office and a new laptop computer, after you have already installed on my desktop. That is why three activations. Am I allowed to do? See you soon. Paul

You can't have three activations. It is simply not possible technically. If and when the time comes, just disable you / disconnect is on one of the old systems and install it on the new. If the system goes belly up, you contact support to reset your account. No need to make it more complicated than that and resist it.

OK, I need an 'Idiots guide' how to set up my ESX 3.5 U5 to a Windows Server 2003 server. I prefer to sync with one of the DC. either the PDC or a BDC, either is fine.

However, if it's too much of a headache, I would just sync "Windows 2003 member server".

AFAIK, this device was shipped only with Windows Xp. In this case only the driver for this OS are available.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it's showing as unallocated, but because it's a system (C:\) drive I can't extend it by using Diskpart utility I can do for other readers.

There are different ways to do this for Win 2003 (easy in 2008, has expanded in the GUI). For Windows 2003 you could close the virtual machine, get the VMDK on another Windows Server, use Diskpart or another tool to extend partition here - since it is not the system partition / boot. Then mount it in the original virtual machine.

Official VMware training, they recommend a free tool from Dell, called extpart.exe. Simple tool command-line which allows to extend the system partition / boot when the virtual machine is running. Check it out and try if you wish.

It is on the FTP of Dells site at ftp.dell.com/app, any logon not required.

    Tool: http://ftp.dell.com/app/ExtPart.exe

  • Problems of Flash player v11 on Windows 2003 Terminal Server upgrade

    Hello

I am trying to upgrade of several Server Terminal Server to Windows 2003 32-bit, v5.2 IE Flash plugin version 11.1.102.63.  It did not work on the first two servers I tried, and later I concentrated my tests on one of them.  The version on the server before the upgrade attempt has been 10.3.181.14.

Whenever I try the upgrade, the executable initially runs, but then does nothing.  The running process is visible in the Task Manager, with no resources of treatment and about 18 MB of memory.  Unless I kill the process manually, it will sit like that indefinitely.  If I try the installation again, I get a message advising me that a single instance of the process can run.

I tried to reboot the server, I tried to install terminal server mode server running the installation, I tried to uninstall the previous version, I tried to reinstall the previous version (which works fine).  For some reason, this version will not work.

Any suggestions as to the next step would be very welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Please Note: the backup file is on the desktop and named backup.reg. We can simply restore the registry by double-clicking the backup.reg file.

    4. Select this key ({4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}), on the right pane, and then verify if the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters value are present. If so, please right-click on the values and select 'Remove' to remove them.
