  For scenario 1, you must write separate instructions UPDATE table2 and table3.

  To guard against someone else change one of these tables while you act so you can copy all relevant data in a global temporary table and update this global temporary table table3.

  ENGAGE only when two tables have been changed.

  You can write a procedure or an INSTEAD OF trigger to do all this.

  For scenario 2, you can reference many tables that you need when new table3.  It might be more efficient and simpler to use the MERGER rather than UPDATED.  For example:

• Repetitive copy of columns from multiple tables

  I need to add some "columns of audit" as created date/time line, time line last updated, etc. to a large number of tables.
  
  If I was using ERwin, I would generally create these columns in a table "scratch" in the model, with comments, appropriate data types, etc. and I could then copy (ctrl - drag / drop) to other tables as needed.
  
  Is there a way to accomplish a similar copy with SQL Developer Data Modeling? I don't want to open all the tables, go to the list of columns, click Add for each column, comment, etc.

  Hi Mike,.

  You can do that - you can copy columns in the table editor or in the browser (in the latter case, they can belong to more than one table) and use paste functionality into the context menu table or in the table editor - you can select more than one table, use the dough. There are also two scripts of transformation to come with the tool ("Table model"), which you can customize to do less manual work.

  You can not.  Only one table can be updated at the same time.

• problem with adf table when the component is added in the column of the table.

  use case: I created an adf table that is based on the original Version. DC now I added a component of group select a radio (which contain 4 approved, rejected, radio button back, no) in the table of the adf.
  I have table with many rows for example in the first row select approved and the next row I select reject now when I get the value of a radio button group in backing bean by using the component binding I had the last selected value. (in this case to reject).
  
  And the second is that when I set the value for the current by using binding as line radio button
  
  rb.setValue("R") then reject option selected for all lines.

  How can I get and set the value of the group to select a radio at the level of the line using the element binding.

  I don't see a reason to not use a transitional attribute for the radioGroup in your previous answer.

  Here's the example I tried.

  Where DeptnoRadio is the transitional attribute, I created (which will be a few random values between A and E) and EnableDisable is another temporary variable of type Boolean that returns true or false depending on certain conditions.

  Now, for each row, the value is different (and the corresponding radio button is selected) and thereafter, which match the condition, the option is disabled.

• Query took too much time when adding new column to the table and the index set on this

  I added a new column to the table that contains thousands of records. and created the composite index with three columns (those newly added + two existing column)

  for the specifics. TBL table there are two columns col1, col2

  I added the new column col3 to TBL and created composit index (col1, col2, col3).

  Now for all the records in col3 is NULL. When I choose on this table, it takes too long...

  Any idea what my I do bad., I have check the query plan, it is using the index

  DBMS_STATS. GATHER_TABLE_STATS

  I added a new column to a table that has an existing report and on this form. I was able to get the new column in the report, but I can't seem to get in shape. Can anyone give me a suggestion as how to proceed without having to recreate the form?

  Have you added a new element of the new column and set the source type on DATABASE_COLUMN then the value from the source to your new column name?

  When you have the tiles on The start screen of Metro , you can set the group / block a tile only, but when you want to add the second tile to this group / block, you can put only horizontally (from left or right tile existed), in other words, you can add the column within that group, but you can put the new Tile vertically , under a tile already existence.

  It's normal. You cannot have tiles in groups vertically. Now in your case, if you change the tiles to large tiles, they will stack vertically.

• ADF: Partial trigger in one column of a table

  I have a master - form detailed with departments - employees (HR diagram).
  In the VO of departments, I have a column transitional 'TotalSalary"calculation of the amount of the salary of all employees by the Department. I use the expression Employees.sum ("(salary is nothing)? 0: salary ").
  
  In the column .jspx Salary is AutoSumitted and partial target runs 'TotalSalary' salary.
  The result is fine, but the issue I'm having here is how NOT having all the Department table refreshed with every single change in detail, but only the TotalSalary column.
  
  Suspicion. I dragged once more the transitional column outside the table, and I noticed that the outfield is updated immediately, but the field within the table NO (because the table does not update).

  I had a similar problem. The only way is to update the table. The partial relaxation for a single column in a table works only if the trigger is also a column to the table.

• Explicit cursor, column from several tables in a variable

  Here's the situation. This DB has tables of metadata. An example of table name would be g3e_attribute. Once you insert a record in a metadata table a trigger of executions insert and insert records in the g3e_attribute_0009 table (table of language, this is what I call it). It would insert in g3e_attribute_000C is the default language is the French. There is also a delete trigger so that if you delete a record in a table of metadata it deletes the corresponding language table. Well, somehow we have entered the language tables that are not in the metadata table. A problem with the system.
  
  There are 139 tables of language so I prefer not to do it manually.
  
  
  So I'm keen to make this code

  So I need to loop through the table and and the corresponding primary keys.

  When you loop, you move the record being the explicit cursor in a variable. Well, you can set the variable as a vertain column type (%), or type (%ROWTYPE) of the line. Although the sql I use to create the cursor takes columns from multiple tables and returns three columns. So I'm not sure how ot define the variable. The only work around I found was to make a table column_name that contains the table table,. Define the variable as rowType.

  A couple of points.

  You should not really mix ansi joins and joins in the place where clause. Choose a style and stick to it.

  You can't do the DDL directly in pl/sql. You need to do this, use dynamic sql. something like:
