  Manul LOAD / REFRESH is always a complete refresh rather than a differential (they work by different mechanisms). There is no way that I know to force an immediate refresh of incremental. You can try setting the AUTOREFRESH State pause and back to on. That could force an immediate refresh, but I have not tried so I do not know whether there will be.

  iMac, read and write files in the Macpro have access to shared files.

  Problem:

  When the iMac saves any type of file, or create directories everything the iMac on the Macpro system is read only the user to Macpro.

  Only solution so far has been to give the iMac user an admin on the MacPro account, then everything they create is not read-only.

  It works but it's not the best of ideas for them to access the system files and you have.

  Is there a way to make the iMac to create files that are not read only without obtaining the server version of Mac OS x or giving them administrative rights to the Macpro.

  I have a VO ('X') which appears as a table in read-only. 'X' has an attribute called "SubscriptionId". The value of "SubscriptionId" is a foreign key to another table called "subscription". My "Subscription" database table contains a column named "Description".
  
  Example:
  
  'X' has an attribute "SubscriptionId" = 14
  
  DB table "Subscription" has a line that looks like this:
  
  14, "A description of subscription" (where "A description of the subscription" is the "Description" column)
  
  
  I created a LOV for "SubscriptionId" on my 'X' VO, whereas it should show the value of 'Description' of "Subscription" instead of the "SubscriptionId".
  
  If I view my VO 'X' as a form, I can see my LOV (for 'Description').
  
  However, when I view my VO ('X') as a table in read-only, it is not adhering to the LOV I set on my VO and instead watch the "SubscriptionId".
  
  What do I need do differently on my table to show the "Description" instead of the foreign key "SubscriptionId"? I want just a text output of the Description, not a list of choices.

  Replaced broken unit of hard drive and OS changed from XP to 2000.

  It's very strange. As far as I know operating system or a specific HARD drive has no influence on the functionality of CD/DVD. It is interesting that if the drive is faulty, the engraving option has disappeared, but the reader can read the media without problem.

  If I remember correctly your unit a select drive from the Bay and if it is possible try to check with the other identical device.

  I'm conditionally locking cells based on a value. This is something I have done in the past, but cannot get to work in 11.1.2.1. Here is my code. I don't get any errors, so the cell object is identified. The properties of the object exist (I think) because the definition cell.readonly = true does not cause an error. The reposting seems so called. However, nothing happens when the form is opened or modified. The function is the ONLOAD function. • Old images to export transparent BGs, now they export with white BGs, why?

  So I have a PDF export previous to a particular Indesign CS5.5 document with images showing the transparent backgrounds (ie: the page background colors show through where transparency should appear). Now after the change of the colors on the layout and export again, images of the new PDF are all horizons showing white where they should show transparency.

  What's past and how to fix this?

• I can't change the read only files on my NAS unit.

  I have a promise SmartStore MS4300n Network Attached Storage system that I have used for more than two years. I can access it from my Windows Xp and my 64 bit Windows 7 computer. Yesterday, I tried to move some files from my Win 7 to the NAS and I find that I can't copy on it. I can move my Win 7 7 NAS files. When I look at the properties of the files on the NAS, they all are now READ ONLY. When I try to change it tells me I don't have permission. I am the only user and I am logged in as admin. Yet once it has started here yesterday.
  If I access the NAS since my XP I can copy data to the NAS even if properties files are READ only.

  The problem is clearly with WINDOWS 7, how to fix it, it work well before and I need to use this device to check my belongings.

  OK, looks like I fixed it. I found that even though I have my computer set up to run all updates automatically I checked windows update and found five that had not been installed. After that I ran the update now can I copy files to my SIN again.

• Windows XP Home deselection of read-only on the FlexNet Adobe folder do not stick.

  I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 and all programs except for InDesign. It comes up with an error message that says license has stopped working. Adobe lists several solutions, all that I tried with one exception that I couldn't because a step said to uncheck the read-only option for one of its folders named FlexNet. On a side note, in the same solution for XP Home it also says to disable Simple file sharing which is right impossible?

  Yes, the Adobe instructions sound as if they are not familiar with Windows XP Home Edition. First of all, the read-only attribute is not applicable to records in any version of Windows - XP, Vista or Windows 7. That's why you see the behavior you are reporting. And as you point out, you cannot disable Simple file sharing in XP Home. In all cases, the Simple file sharing (which controls how a computer connects to other computers in the Local network) is likely to have something to do with InDesign does not.

  I'm sorry that I'm unable to help you with this issue of Adobe, however. I guess you have uninstalled/reinstalled the program? If this isn't the case, you should try it. You may find an answer by posting in the InDesign user forum:
