Adding audio captioning triggered

I saw in another post that it is not possible to attach some audio captioning triggered the Captivate 7. Is it possible to Captivate 8? Thank you!

Nothing has changed, not 8 or 9.

I layer a legend of rollover and rollover image, the problem I have is that when I publish/preview only the upper layer (legend of reversal) is recognized.  In addition, I added the rollover but image audio audio plays automatically and not when I place my mouse on the hotspot of image rollover.

  • All using windows movie maker, I added audio, but I can't hear the music while playing the video... Why is this?

All using windows movie maker, I added audio, but I can't hear the music while playing the video... Why is this?

    Hello

    1. What is the format of the video file that you use in Movie Maker?

    2. do you receive error messages when you try to play the video?

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker.

You can use your favorite search engine and download third-party video editing software to convert the file.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Error adding audio to the accordion Widget

I am trying to use the Accordion widget that ships with Adobe Captivate 7. In the properties of the Widget, you can add audio to the description under each tab. When I go to select a narrated audio file (which has been recorded using Adobe Captivate) in the library, I get this error message indicating that I "chose the type of wrong file...» ». If someone has encountered this? What other types of audio file can be added?

    Hello

While I have not seen the exact behavior you describe, audio did not for me on this gadget until I did the following steps.

    1. export the audio library. Mp3 format.

    2. starting at the widget when adding audio, choose the import option and direct to MP3.

I tried export from the library in WAV format and actually saw the message you have described. But by following the above steps it worked for me.

  • Adding Audio to areas of reversal

I need to add a picture to a question, that when a student rests their mouse on will play a short mp3 file.  I don't want to automatically read the file - I added a roll on image and a roll on the legend - the two operate sporadically - sometimes they play as soon as the question starts - sometimes, I have to move my mouse.  When I return in edit slides - rolling does not show an audio file on those who await the mouse hovering - but is still on those that do, I have no idea of what I've done differently...  What is the right path to follow to complete this type of interaction? Any idea what may have caused my fate?

    Hello

It is not exactly clear to me exactly how you have assigned audio.

In case it will help, I'll describe the process I could follow (which I've never seen fail) in the hope that it will help you.

Click Insert > Rollover (Image or legend, it should make no difference).

When you do so, you will see TWO objects on the slide. One is the area of your mouse of the user in the course. The other is what is displayed when the user will fly over the other domain.

Note that each of the two areas will allow you to attach the Audio. And this is where many people get confused.

If you attach audio to the rollover area, you hear when the rollover area is displayed. Often, this means that loading the slide upward. But if you attach audio to the object that is displayed when the rollover area is twitch by the user, the only sound should be heard when you hover over.

Too often users get the two confused. They have audio to the rollover area and it should be the other way around.

  • With newly added audio waveforms not displayed.

    Hey there.

I'm in first Pro CC on a Mac with os x version 10.11.4 and I'm editing a show where I shoot sequences of multiple images from different cameras .mov files. I have a model to show with the opening credits and end and whatnot I did, and the waveforms of these pieces make their appearance perfectly, but the new images that I am pulling in has no form of wave, I need a lot to match shots.

By the other discussion forums on similar problems, I have restarted first, restarted my computer, checked that 'Show Audio Waveform' is checked, checked the "generation of the advanced automatic file" is checked in the preferences, and, Yes, my audio clips are developed for any waveform. They do not arise if I zoomed in a lot, they do not show in the source monitor. Someone said also me they had this coming and he gives a few minutes to load properly fixed, but there has been quite some time now, so I don't think it is either. But the audio DOES not work. No problem to hear it, just don't need to be able to see it, too!

I did this same post EXACT change several times with the same model and the same types of files and never had problems like this before, so I'm very frustrated that this is happening all at once. In the attached picture you can see that this last clip has no waveform, but made one on his left and also the tiny little footsteps of 3rd and 4th below them.

Any help is much appreciated - thank you!

If you look in the lower right of your screenshot you can see it says "generate file pic...". ». This creates the waveform, where this bar is your waveform displayed. A big piece of media takes longer to generate the waveform.

  • Having problems adding audio effects to a .mp3 file

    Hello

I have a "Preset" I did which makes the person talking as it comes through a phone.  I've used this preset many times but I came across a file that does not allow me to apply it.  I tested it on other .mp3 files in this project and it attaches very well.  Then I tried just apply an audio effect to this troubled file and nothing emerges from it.  Any ideas why this happens?  I have need for it convert a .amr in .mp3, but the file plays fine.

    Thank you

That's all... I needed to change mono to stereo files.  Cool.

  • Adding audio and/or video

What are the steps to add audio or video to my website? The server does not support Javascript, and I don't have a Flash from Adobe. Initially, I tried linking to a .mp3 file, but since learned this is not possible. I need Flash software? A few general suggestions would be great to point me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

    Hello

First of all your server does not require javascript your browser, (standard in all modern browsers).

You also do not necessarily require the flash program, (your browser requires a plug-in for audio video to play).

You will need a form any video/media software to convert your files in the required format, encoding (do a search using your favorite for the video encoder search engine), then use dreamweavers insert file option to insert your audio/video file in your html page

  • Crashes when you save once I added audio to slides

    Hello world
I recently started using Captivate and like many... autorecord functionality, etc. I'm having a problem however. I have a slideshow which is long about 11 slides. I used to AutoSave to capture the slides and went in and cleaned the slides. Everything worked very well and I was able to register without any problems. However, last night I recorded a few audio bits for 9 of the 11 blades, and when I tried to save my computer lodged and required a hard - reboot. I then tried to save after every audio bit I recorded, but I do not have much the app crashed as soon as I tried to save it after the first audio recording. I use this locally on my PC/Windows XP box. I have a Pentium 4 to 3.4 GHz and 1 GB of ram. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how to get this working?

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Sabine,
I did save and save audio files in MP3 format with sound forge. I was able to import MP3s and save the Cp file successfully. Everything works fine now. I guess that I won't be able to use Captivate to record audio.

Thank you for taking the time to answer!

  • You can add an audio event listener triggered?

I display a button "stop" Audio "to stop the audio clips triggered on a slide. It is easy to make for itself when you click on hide, but I'd love to also hide whenever the audio ended.

Anyone know how a way JavaScripty to add a listener to the sound object triggered? (I'll live if it is not possible.) Thnx!

If you're 9 Captivate? There might be a possibility from the new ' delay next actions of... "command, but you'll have to check the length of each audio clip. The delay time, which will be this audio clip duration, can be put into a variable that makes it more flexible. This command is functional to the SWF and HTML output. ATTENTION: I love the CpExtra widget, it's a 'must have' for each CP-developer who wants to go beyond the basic features of Captivate.

@Rod I thought that CpExtra to the end of the audio event works with audio attached to objects or slides, with audio triggered by a tip action? Has this been changed?

  • Audio response existed at the COP6?

    I just read this:

Tit rains: what's new in Adobe Captivate 6

    Audio responses?

Is this true? I have never read or found something about it! I'll watch the video tonight when I get home, but not could not wait to find out. I suspect - No.

But it would be nice shot if it was true! Thank you.

Captivate 6 introduces the ability to trigger the playback of an audio clip using advanced Actions and to stop playback of all already triggered clips with another action.  This feature lets you add dynamic audio feedback via advanced Actions.  It is not the only way of such comments could be added (you could get very similar results by simply adding audio to legends of feedback on the interactive objects), but it certainly added a few possibilities.

  • How can you do closed captioning appears after clicking a button?

Currently, it is one of my screens works.  The Narrator speaks of a video is displayed.  The user clicks on play to see the video.  At the end of the video continue button appears.  When the student clicks on the button continue the Narrator speaks once again, and the course continues.

The challenge comes in when I'm with captioning.  Given that Captivate is somehow not enough let us create closed captioning for anything other than the slide audio, does anyone know a work around that would allow me to get closed captioning should appear when the user clicks on the button continue?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ahh... I think you are referring to the level of the audio object.  You put the audio maybe on the legend of the success of the button, or the value of the action of the Play Audio button maybe?

CC text displays only the audio, slide to the objects or the audio level triggered by advanced actions.

So if you want the text to display on the screen as a result of your action of button you need to achieve by having the text appear in a legend which is illustrated by a tip action.  If your audio is attached to the legend ONE success of the button, just use this legend to display the text in audio.

  • Need to disable closed captioning when the play bar is hidden

    Hello.

I've almost finished with a school project for my certification ID but have a problem.  I use buttons to navigate in the lesson, but I have a section where the learner has to see a demo.  I have the PlayBar hidden on button slides but show on the slides in demo so the learner can pause the demonstration if necessary.  I also added closed captioning so that the learner can read text if a hearing or there is a problem with the audio.

Everthing works fine except when the demo is completed, the PlayBar is hidden in the next screen, but if the learner has turned on captioning, the CC shows text box again.  Is anyway to automatically turn off captioning after the last slide in the show?

    Thank you

    cc.jpgcc1.jpg

There is a system variable called cpCmndCC that you can switch from 1 to 0 using advanced Actions (slide enter) to turn off the CC box.
