• The URL bar AutoComplete feature does not work correctly, does anyone else have this problem?

  I was running version 9.x and had this problem, so I've just updated to 11 of Firefox, but it does not help.

  The problem is that the URL bar doesn't let me type a new address in some cases - preferring instead to refer to a previously visited address. It would be better if I gave an example:

  I'm trying to access a site, that I have not visited, for example holden.com.au

  I type 'h', and the URL bar suggests that I go to my Hotmail login page (the URL for that starts by of ') and the rest of the extreme Auto (so now I'm in the situation where I have an address in the bar from '). This means that I can not continue to enter the address provided.

  Can it be fixed or is it just a question for me?

  I solved this problem by going to: setting up and activating/deactivating the browser.urlbar.autoFill layout. I think the default setting has been changed in a recent update.

• The address bar / AutoComplete is locking up.

  Everytime I type something my history or bookmarks in the location bar, it displays the first character or two, and then refuses to view the rest of the address of the site that I type and fails to show the results of my history/bookmarks. It shows only what I am typing after I press ESC or click anywhere on the Web page. A similar problem also occurs when I try to pull something together as a Web site, including the forms on this page 'edit a question", except that the AutoComplete results appear and I can use my mouse to select what I wanted to type manually.

  I'm guessing that autocomplete is locked for some reason any. However, I have tried to clean the sql databases and even removed the profile folder and reinstalled firefox, nothing helps.

  A solution that bothers that I know is to run firefox in safe mode and disable all addons or reset all the preferences of the user by default, which makes the AutoComplete behave exactly as it should until I close firefox. I can reactivate my addons and restart firefox and the address bar will continue to behave properly, but closing and re-opening firefox without using safe mode, even if nothing is changed (addons reactivated, set preferences, etc.), translates the AutoComplete not cooperating again.

  This problem started about a month after I had installed Xubuntu to 11.10.

  It's been four months now. I am running Firefox 11.0, and the problem is still there. At least, he received no worse or anything like that.
  Firefox is the only program on my computer with an AutoComplete feature that locks like that. It's really weird.

  Edit: From Xubuntu 12.04, this problem seems to be fixed.
  I'll upgrade to Firefox 12 and see if it stays that way.

  Edit 2: Running Xubuntu 12.04 & Firefox 12. Problem is solved.

• After typing the web address in the address bar I can no longer just press on enter for the webpage to load, I have to use the mouse to select the arrow at the end of the address bar

  I downloaded the latest version of firefox and since then when I type a web address in the address bar, I can not only support on enter to get onto the site I want, instead, I have to use the mouse to point the arrow at the end of the address bar and click it.

  Driving me crazy! Never had this before!

  Which may be caused by the add-on AVG safe browsing. Disable this extension if you have it installed.

• When I type in the address bar, firefox is no longer 'guess' the web address and instead takes me directly to bing.

  Firefox used to "guess" what Web site I was looking for when I typed in a few key words in the address bar. FOR EXAMPLE; When I typed "bbc sport" firefox would take me directly to www.bbc.co.uk/sport
  Now however, it takes me right to bing.com with results of my keywords. Ive been about: config and check the search to "guess" function is defined as true. Help please!

• The search feature no longer works in any of my projects generated HTML help recently

  I use 10.0.1.292 HR and HR 11.0.4.291 for different projects.

  
  

  Recently, I noticed that the search feature returns no result, in one of my projects that are generated in either Rh10 or 11. I just get the message 'no topics found. It's used to work.

  
  

  The only thing that was made recently (that I can think of) involved working with the .slp files to fix a problem with the glossary tab and the search functionality in a HR 11 Responsive HTML5 layout. (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1690579) I, however, do not see how this would break the search functionality in my HTML projects.

  In both 10 and 11, HR whenever I generated a project like HTML Help (still an example of project) the search functionality was broken. Finally, when I couldn't think what else to try, I uninstalled and reinstalled 10 HR, and that solved my problem - HR 10 and 11!

  Apparently some file has been corrupted, but I don't know what broke or what caused the corruption. I'm still trying to get clarification from Adobe, but so far, I only received the following comments:

  • The robohelp cache folder and preferences may have caused this.
  • The problem can be either with updates on the system.

  If I should receive any definitive information, I will update this post.

• OT features no longer work

  I have a big problem,

  I can't select my OT features more. I choose them, but they will not appear and change. For example, I want to use small caps to Minion Pro. Once I select the letters and click the attribute of small capitals, nothing happens. It's really annoying.

  The same thing happens with my fints PS if I switch to the version of small caps. Illustrator trying to be clever and exchange letters with letters of the normal version.

  It happens in CS6 and CC.

  I need urgent help please, what is happening here!

  Minion Pro should have OsF, here's where I activated. I think they should have an icon as opentype options would be less disturbing.

  

  Keep in mind of each policy is different, and that some options may be unavailable on some fonts and may be gray (often fractions).

  Small capital letters is a good question, because I don't think I ever said that in the Opentype palette. Enable small caps in the character palette, thoughsince that works on any font would have thought what does access special small caps in the police, but my comparison test here seems good (note the weight seems even in the top of the page sample, versues my fake down version).

  I can't communicate with all sites.

  Note that the OP on Mac OS X 10.5, so cannot refresh beyond 16 Firefox and use the latest versions of Shockwave Flash.

  You can use one of them to set toolbars to display.

  • View > toolbars > Navigation toolbar
  • Right click on empty toolbar space

• How can I disable AutoComplete in Web pages? No address bar autocomplete. In addition, delete the cache.

  Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:

  1. Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. Select an entry in the drop-down list
  3. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

• I used to be able to click on the Home icon using my Center wheel to cause a new tab open with my home page. This feature no longer works. Please notify.

  So, when I click on the Home icon at the top right of my Firefox page using my Center wheel, a new tab opens is more like

  my home page. Now, nothing happens when I do this.
  

  There is an extension or two or a combination of extensions that appear to be originally in Firefox 6.0.2. One that has been mentioned is TabMix Plus.

  You need to understand what is the cause and disable this extension/s until they are fixed by their developer.

• Tactile feature no longer works

  I have a X230t that is only a few days old.  As I was using the computer tonight, all of a sudden the touch screen has stopped responding to the entrance of my fingers or the stylus.

  Anyone had a similar experience?  All proposed remedies?

• 3D features no longer work in one project

  Hey there,

  I'm having a problem with the 3D functions in my recent project. (Note: in this project!)

  When the tick 3D on any layer, just all the other layers in the composition turn invisible and the background is set to black. However, the eye who manages the visibility of a layer is always visible.

  In addition, the X and the Y Rotation has lost its functionality. The object is not but more or less compressed, which looks like a poor imitation of a 3D rotation. I'll show you better.

  

  Must be well described. Hope someone knows what happened there, I hit probably just accidentily a shortcut that changed all that, but I obviously don't know.

  Add a camera to your publication.  Switch the Viewer to "Active Caméra" instead of "forward".

  The view from the 'Front' is spell - it shows no prospect.  Use it for alignment of layers, but not for the final design decisions.

  You can only return the output from the Active camera view, so it's best to use it as much as possible.

• "smart" address bar is no longer work.

  I used to be able to type a phrase in the address bar and firefox would automatically work out where I wanted to go (for example facebook to www.facebook.com; ISO 14001 wiki went to the wikipedia article for ISO 14001). Now, when I try this I have AVG page of search results.

  How can I stop happening, that this intelligence is one of the main reasons I use firefox? I tried to disable AVG safesearch, it has no effect.

• Address bar works on a user account and not on the other

  Hello

  I searched on through so many forums to find an answer to my problem - it is perhaps quite unique.

  A year ago, stopped my firefox address bar AutoComplete works not at all. I have the latest version and I tried all the stuff around dumping cache etc. Anyway, I got a new Mac yesterday and I opened Firefox and everything worked as it should - great.

  However, I moved all my files/settings/applications etc in front of my ole mac via migration assistant and now firefox is not working properly on this user account. So, I have two user accounts on the same mac, both running the same software applications. The user account with all the old files etc is that I want to continue to use, but Firefox will not properly work on this subject.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled, updated, deleted version cache... all I can think.

  I'm sick of Chrome crashing on me.

  Can anyone help?

  This may be a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.
