Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard - harvesters taken supported files in Acrobat question

I have a problem with 1 installation of Acrobat 9 Standard that has a problem with the function 'combine files supported in Acrobat. He worked until a few weeks ago and I've tried everything I can think of to fix it with no luck (ensure up to date version, repair installation, uninstall reinstall, uninstall with own tool proposed for acrobat/reader install & reinstall...)

Basically what is happening, is that any word/excel file it is trying to convert then mix, it terminates the process to convert then hangs at 100% for this file and does nothing else.

This is a feature that this guy uses at least once a week and becomes a real problem with it does not work.

I prefer not no need to the only other thing I can think offhand (new Hare drive / reformatted the hard drive) & would appreciate all comments and suggestions

Hi alexm44689385,

Please install updates in sequence using this link ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/ & then try to reproduce the problem.

Kind regards

I have a user who has Adobe Reader 9.3.4 installed on his system and it also has Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro.

When it tries to open a PDF file that is located on the Web which ask not to 'open' or 'save' the file it just (trials) to open the PDF file, it gets the following error message:

    Adode PDF document

Adobe Acrobat/Reader running to view the PDF files in a Web browser.

Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Please exit and try again.

    Ok

I checked the file extension as to what is the default program to open PDF files, and it does not say that it's Adobe Reader 9.3.

What should I do to fix this?  You need Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat installed on his system.

    Thank you

  • Adobe Acrobat Question

I am involved in a project of Web site where users can download a blank form to keep track of personal information.  For this project, I want it so that each downloaded blank form requires a unique password to open.  Is there an any license that must be bought through Adobe or is it possible for free?  Thank you for your support.

I don't think that Adobe provides such a service at all. It's something you have to do with a back-end service that crypt (copy of) the file then notifies the user on the fly.

  • How can I turn off the options to context menu for Adobe Acrobat on Windows 7?

    Hello

I wonder if anyone can tell here:

    1. The Explorer of Windows 7, I have context menu options to "Convert to Adobe PDF" and "convert to Adobe PDF and send". Both these options ask me to choose a target file name, but when you select a file, Office 2010, I get a message about the missing PDFMaker files. Can I remove these options from popup menu?
    2. In the Explorer of Windows 7, I also have context menu option 'combine taken supported files in Acrobat. But once again, with Office 2010, this fails because "Windows can not find Acrobat.exe. Can I remove this option from context menu?

I think anyway, there are some compatibility issues between Office and Acrobat X and I have no use for the options menu It's just clutter. I have Office 2010 32-bit.

    Thank you

    Martin O'Shea.

I have no idea. I don't use WIn7. ShellExView is the best way to remove it. You can search in the registry. And then delete. But please make sure that you delete the entries on the right

  • Standard Adobe Acrobat 7.0 - error missing "resource files".

Have just changed to a new workstation running Windows 7 (64-bit), while the old computer was running windows 7 (32 bit).

A copy bought Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard and after much struggle Adobe support online was told the CS2 download site and I downloaded the file and opened and installed. However it does not work properly problems as follows:

I noticed during installation it said unable to create a PDF printer (I have both 2016 Word and Word 2003 on the PC)- but now see main point below where this error message is given in detail...

Have tried to use 'create PDF' to a word 2003 document as a PDF. Does not work as a pop-up window States:

"Cannot find resource 'Adobe PDF' files.

You want to run the installer in repair mode?

I tried selecting Yes on this point-in which case crosses indicating that Windows is configure Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and that it's 'get information' while he receive the same error message on the printer, which, in its entirety, is as follows:

WARNING 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup failed

to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port / printer. The

Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.

LastError Get: The operation completed successfully.

If and then click [ok] - the only option... then restart and reopen Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard get the same error (cannot find resource 'Adobe PDF' files)

Have also tried to do a right click on the program and select 'troubleshoot compatabiity '. It said it asked

But make the same mistakes when trying this.

As the program has worked on the old workstation that was running Windows 7.0 cannto work on why it won't work now.

    Help please!

    Nick H

You might be able to patch up some problems, but you can't make it work properly on this system not supported. The Adobe PDF in Acrobat 7 printer driver is only for 32-bit systems. It is also required by the PDFMaker Office functions, which therefore cannot work.

    Hi Petrica Jicu,

As Acrobat 7 is an outdated version and it is not compatible with Microsoft Windows 7. I suggest you to buy Adobe Acrobat DC which is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit) operating systems.

You can also try and use the Adobe Acrobat DC trial version which is fully functional for 30 days. Download Adobe Acrobat free trial version | Acrobat Pro DC
