Adobe Reader - Adobe Acrobat question

I have a user who has Adobe Reader 9.3.4 installed on his system and it also has Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro.

When it tries to open a PDF file that is located on the Web which ask not to 'open' or 'save' the file it just (trials) to open the PDF file, it gets the following error message:

Adode PDF document

Adobe Acrobat/Reader running to view the PDF files in a Web browser.

Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Please exit and try again.

Ok

I checked the file extension as to what is the default program to open PDF files, and it does not say that it's Adobe Reader 9.3.

What should I do to fix this?  You need Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat installed on his system.

Thank you

Yet once Yes, you will have problems. And even once, you don't need both. Acrobat makes all player no longer.

  • Adobe Acrobat Question

I am involved in a project of Web site where users can download a blank form to keep track of personal information.  For this project, I want it so that each downloaded blank form requires a unique password to open.  Is there an any license that must be bought through Adobe or is it possible for free?  Thank you for your support.

I don't think that Adobe provides such a service at all. It's something you have to do with a back-end service that crypt (copy of) the file then notifies the user on the fly.

  • When I updated my Adobe Acrobat plug-ins it uninstalled Adobe Reader and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Can I use Adobe Reader instead?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Firefox said that my plugin Adobe Acrobat was outdated, so I've updated. It uninstalled my Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18 and replaced it with Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2015.008.20082 DC. I did not like this program, and more I read there are still bugs in there. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18. I went into the menu of options of Firefox under applications and changed the options Adobe to use Adobe Reader as the default application for PDF files. It is a safe choice, or should I leave Firefox dictate what PDF program I use? I am concerned about safety issues. Any opinions?

I think that your question has been answered mainly in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1079182

In my opinion, you can trust Adobe to keep the series XI Reader updated for awhile. It is completely safe is impossible to know, given that vulnerabilities are often discovered and kept secret.

  • From today, Firefox will not open the files Adobe Acrobat to Adobe Reader, despite my player put as a default value in the Applications tab.

Until today, I had no trouble opening the files Adobe Acrobat with Adobe Reader 9.5. (I need to use an older version of Adobe Reader, because I use a program called Macro Express, which does not recognize later versions.) As of this morning, when I click on a file Acrobat, I wonder what program I want to open it with. Even when I click on 'do this automatically... ". ', it is not doing. He asks me every time. I went to tools, Applications and changed all the questions to open with Adobe Reader related 9.5 pdf. This also does not work.

access firefox options > applications and set the default action for the portable document (pdf) format.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader Installation Error 1327: invalid drive mapped to a user folder

Try to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows 8 so that I can make the PDF Renseignez form (which doesn't seem to work with the default player Win8 app). I get the following error in the installation of Adobe:

Error 1327.Invalid Drive: P:\ mapped to a user folder. The drive does not exist or could not be connected. You can disconnect the drive or reassign the drive letter. For more information, see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404946.html

I have P:\ drive mapped to a folder on my corporate network offline indeed. Following the instructions on the web site indicated always is not allow installation.

    Any ideas?

    David

I know this post is very old, but it is the top google result when searching on this question, so I thought that a useful response would be in order.  I also had this problem, but I discovered the problem in the way I had my place set for My Documents, my pictures, etc..

Short answer, you must use UNC paths for mapping.

Longer answer - like you, I have a House (in my case sup) drive connected to my network of the company.  So, I can navigate to U:\Documents.  I had put the location of my documents (and other user files) to U:\Documents, well it worked most of the time it's really not the right way to do it.  If you open your drive mapped in file Explorer, the window title bar will show you the UNC patch.  It will look something like this: yourUsername (\\servername\home$).  Set the location of your My Documents, etc. to match - for example, to \\servername\home$\yourUsername\Documents

Note that you can not change just the My Documents - you must fix all of your user files that point to a network drive letter (C:\Users\blah bla... is fine) in the format of a UNC path instead.  Then re-run the installation of acrobat and you should be golden.  If the foregoing makes no sense to you, or you do not have the required privileges on your workstation, talk to your resource and they will be able to sort it out for you.

  • Issue of portfolio Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

    Hi all!

I am currently struggling with a problem that I know has a simple solution, but I can't--for the absolute life of me - understand it. And I did not ashamed to admit that I was clicking during at least 2 hours. I apologize in advance for naming things wrong and for the length of this post.

Yesterday, I tried to view a PDF on my MacBook Air and was prompted to download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Everything worked as expected and everything was familiar: I open the PDF file, it is full screen, I could click on parts of the PDF that would take me automatically to other parts of the PDF, etc. In short, nothing seemed odd about all this.

I exit the application and walked away.

Later, I tried to return to the same PDF, - exactly what I thought was the same way - but the screen I saw was completely new to me.

I don't even know what we call this window/view.

When I double-click the file (open it), I see this. Again, I don't know what this is called. I tried to change the view, but when I select the view in the menu bar at top, none of these options can be selected, making me think that the document is not yet really open when I'm in this view.

I found that I have the opportunity to "split" the view: window > Split Vertical, the screen looks like this. But it's not what I'm used to seeing when I try to read a PDF file! I just want to see the part on the right. Should it just not the PDF itself. I can resize the split newly created by clicking and dragging to make the PDF page itself takes the largest part of the screen, but it's not the same. I read only 3-4 pages at a time, instead of getting the PDF all at once, as I'm used to.

I guess I have several questions:

    1. How to open a PDF file in order to open them in fact at the start of the first image? (Question: what is the name of this first screen?) What is my wallet?)
    2. What is called the point of view in the second picture? Is that my wallet? Is it called Porteuille? Is this just a preview? Is the PDF file open not really when I'm looking at him here?
    3. What is the purpose of this split function?

Thanks in advance to anyone who cares about this read and reply. I do not exaggerate when I say that it's become a borderline obsession. It's killing me I'm unable to read PDF files, but I'm not too proud to seek assistance (clearly). So thank you once again.

    Hi CinelliELA ,

The behavior you mentioned might be possible is that when you open the pdf and Flash is not installed on your computer and so you saw the file in normal mode without portfolio, but when you opened the file again, the Flash is installed on your computer and see the PDF for portfolio.

And you answers to your questions below:

1-how to open a PDF file in order to open them in fact at the start of the first image? -You can right click on the file, select open with > choose Adobe Reader or you can double-click the file under Recent (first image) and, the first screen is called the home screen.

2 - display in your second image is your wallet. And, yes it's just a glimpse. You must click with the right button on the preview, then select open the file to view the entire pdf file.

    Below is the screenshot:

3 - this split function allows having the view of all the files in a portfolio(in the bottom left pane) + preview of the file that is currently selected (on top left) as well as the complete pdf open on the right side.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader

So I called my makeup for laptop (Asus) and spoke to a representative from adobe by phone, as well as chatting over the internet and no one was able to help me yet,
    My question is,

Why the player displays Adobe Acrobat Reader DC that is already the latest version installed on my computer, but when I try to open my coupons in this app, it appears to me, and I can't find the drive on my laptop program.
    Someone please help.

What operating system does your laptop work?

Have you tried to enter the area to uninstall programs and looked to drive there? If this is not the case, try the steps in the link below to completely remove the drive from your system and once completed, reinstall.

  • ERROR: Invalid Plugin detected. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC leaves

I want to develop a plug-in on mine. Versions of Acrobat Reader DC drive and I use Acrobat SDK from DC. I build the demo of Starter in the SDK samples and copy .api ~\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Reader\plug_ins Reader, but drive not detected the plug starter. Why?

Then, I use Visual Studio App Wizard in VS2013 and built a very simple project. When I open the drive it tell me the error 'Invalid plugin detected. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC stops'. I need to know the cause of the error. Is this because my plug-ins need certificate official adobe? If so, they have provided to temporary developers and free certificate?

The question has bothered me for a few days, Iwant to know the emergency solution. Thank you.

No temporary certificate is required. Plugin developers should test with the free Acrobat. Once it works player plugins must apply for a licence which is granted in some cases. Tax is by negotiation and can rise to $30,000 or more annually. Not free is payable for plugins for Acrobat.

  • Can view is no longer with the new (and unwanted) PDF Adobe Acrobat Reader DC even after following the troubleshooting instructions

This Adobe Acrobat Reader DC showed during an automatic update when I shut down my computer and I hate it.  I can no longer display PDF who have never been a problem with the old Adobe Acrobat I got.  I read the troubleshooting instructions to know how to solve this problem, but they have not worked.  Only instructions I saw started with "right click on the PDF... How can I do that when I can't even SEE the PDF file?  I'm not a person tech (strictly point and click on) so it's more frustrating for me.  When I scan something, which I do a lot, now I have to go through this stupid thing of cloud and he infiltrated everything I never scanned and saved.  I'm nervous about uninstalling this unwanted program because I don't want to aggravate the disorder.  I just want to be able to view and print PDF files as if I were always able to do before.  Suggestions (preferably some that a jerk tech like me can understand?)  Thanks in advance for anyone who has got an answer.

    Hi Dana,

Yes, you were pretty close while answering my questions.

Another question: when exactly you get this error message? While opening a specific pdf file or using the functions specific to the reader?

Insofar as troubleshooting is concerned, I recommend you to use on your system cleaning tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

and later reinstall reader by using the following link: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

I installed the update of Adobe Acrobat reader on my computer a few weeks ago. I couldn't print my documents, new or old. I tried to uninstall the program and re-install and that has not worked. I went to the HP website and from the down loaded the latest printer drivers, and that did not work. I went to tools for the production printing package that reads 'Add' tab. I clicked Add and got a (1-800-915-9430) number to call if I want to pay other services that offer Adobe. I called the number in the hope of getting my answers to the question and that has not worked. I've gotten has been a long wait (1 h) for a person to respond to the call and when they meet a poor service. I went to different forums looking for answers and found my question but not response. The messages I get are: "the document could not be printed" and "there is no page selected. Is there a solution to this problem? The version of window is Win7.

    Hi Abhishek,

I followed your instructions and none of it worked. I had to uninstall Acrobat Reader and then update my version of the window. After that I downloaded Acrobat Reader again and it worked. Thanks again for your help.

  • Compare Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC XI

    Hi all

I was looking the net looking for some documents of comparison between 11 player and CD player but so far, I could only find comparison between Acrobat and Acrobat DC.

for example:Plans and prices: compare the versions. Adobe Acrobat DC

Could you please recommend me a site that shows the exact differences between the two products? What exactly is that DC can do and drive XI cannot?

Or is there a documentation describing the differences?

I would like to know what would be the best to use in the future.

    Thanks in advance!
