Within the option OCR Bernd mentions, you should have the choice of searchable PDF format or ClearScan. The research will not change the look, but puts a text behind the image layer, then you can search. Of course, a lot depends on the quality of OCR on the ability to make a reasonable search. The ClearScan actually replaces the text with the text to display, image once again that may have errors of conversion.

It is possible that the document specifies the default zoom. You also control via both the following preferences:

Edit > preferences > Page display > default layout and Zoom > Zoom

Edit > preferences > accessibility > substitute Page display > always use the Zoom setting

  • Updated Adobe Acrobat & now I can't view a PDF file

Monday night, I updated Adobe Acrobat.

On Tuesday, I found I couldn't read or create PDFs. I get an error message that says:

"Check with the developer to make sure that Acrobat Pro works with this version of Mac OS x. reinstall". "

I use a Mac Book pro with Lion 10.7.5

So I reinstalled Acrobat and still have the same problem!

    Any tips?

I can't see another thread on this particular issue but ignore me if it already exists.

    Thank you

    Fiona

I seem to be the only person having this problem, but just in case anyone has the same problem Adobe Chat support me:

    -Open Finder

    -Click on Go

-In the type of research/library + click on enter

    -Click application support > Adobe

    -Remove all acrobat files

    -Go to folder repeat

-Search ~/library + click on enter

    -now repeat to Go go

    Research/Library

-Click on Preferences > delete all files that are labeled as com.adobe.acrobat

    Then reinstall Adobe Acrobat

Then try to open a PDF file

I did find the same error message!

So I had to uninstall the Acrobat file I had loaded just that is, repeat the above steps

The next support solution has given was to go to the preferences of the user on the Mac and create a new name for the admin for example test acrobat - not enter any password, although then I lock the padlock.

    Reset

Sign up under the new name of the admin

    Search for a PDF file

A test to see if they would open

And even once, I get the same stupid error message!

So I am now really tired.

Did anyone had this problem & it is resolved?  There are of course some conflicts with the recent update and the Lion and the file does not work correctly.

  • Now my Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 doesn't create pdf from MS Word or MS Excel I updraded to Windows 10.

Now my Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 doesn't create pdf from MS Word or MS Excel I updraded to Windows 10.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10, so this kind of problems is to be expected.

You must upgrade to the latest version (Acrobat DC) to solve it.

  • I can't use the cloud of DC Acrobat. How to make a PDF of Acrobat Reader that does not use the cloud?

This is just about everything said.

I can't save sensitive departmental files on your cloud.

Even for the non-sensitive to PDF, I don't always have access to the cloud when I need to view or work with a PDF file.

I need a version of Acrobat Reader non-nuage.

It is a problem for me.

In addition to all this, NOW I get error messages whenever I try to reinstall the CD player.

Here, I finally have a solution.

    You're going to love Google.

More useful than Adobe so far.

Note: By clicking on the link below is immediately open the download dialog box.

    FTP://ftp.adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Reader/Win/10.x/10.1.1/en_US/AdbeRdr1011_en_US.exe

I used to install this download and Setup was seamless.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when I combine PDF files

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my computer and everytime I try to combine PDF files it says that Adobe has stopped working and crashes. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I did all the updates of windows, I ran the cleaning of Adobe Acrobat tool and all Adobe updates are up-to-date. This is extremely annoying and it really bothers my work, I constantly need to combine PDFs (sometimes thousands of pages). This was never a problem in the past until about 2 weeks ago. I appreciate any help!

    Workaround solution:

My document has 122 pages in .pdf format

I exported the PDF crashing to MS Word in Acrobat Pro DC.

Exported .doc in Word for Mac 2016

Saved .doc exported to PDF in Word or Mac 2016

PDF open in Acrobat Pro ms.

White added the page without the document / application to crash.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 installed, but cannot read any PDF file from a browser window

I have a PC with Vista new(-ish) and had Adobe Acrobat installed v9.  However I can not open PDF files when you try to view in a browser on a web site.  IE8, Firefox, and Chrome all produce the same error that says I have to install Adobe 8 or 9.  Resulted to searched 'Manage Add-ons' and found Adobe.  Drove around but can't seem to find a way to solve this problem.  Any ideas?  This seems so basic that it is hard to believe that it happened in the first place, and (b) that there is not an obvious way to fix it!

I have exactly the same problem but with Windows XP SP3. Unfortunately, I can not install different browsers because of security controls in the DoD. It wasn't a problem with Adobe Reader 8.1.6 installed as pdf would open in IE7. Until I installed Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.2 is that it became a problem. IE7 crashes just trying to open a pdf file. Even if I try line Open all File Types and select a local pdf file, it crashes always upward.

I went through every possible case, IE7 option and registry permissions without result. Adobe support leans on it. I think it's a matter of ActiveX control (file).

    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: Adobe Reader.
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.

Export a dvd mpeg2 predefined in the creation and import the file in again.

    Do menu and burn.

Unfortunately, no information (files, historical transactions, e-mail addresses) is transferred to Adobe SendNow send.

For the moment, there is no storage in Adobe send e-mail addresses. If you wish to access your own list of contacts, you can use the Outlook Plugin (compatible with Outlook 2010 and 2013 on Windows) or Adobe Reader.
