Adobe Acrobat, protection of Images in a form to fill out?
I am a graphic designer and use Adobe Acrobat X pro to create invitations to fill out, labels and other
what I want is that my client is unable to print the file without filling ' required '...
In addition, no one can change it even if they open using acrobat pro
or maybe a way I can protect my images to print without text?
Another question
How can I do a floating text box, which increases if text increases and is not a fixed size?
Thank you very much
Mary
Hi Mary,
Here's a more early more relevant thread:
http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3778703#3778703
Post # 3 of this thread, Gilad D provided the following script:
If (getField("Account1").value == "" | ") getField("Account2").value == "")
App.Alert ("' Please fill in the following fields: account 1, Account2.", 3 ");
You replace "AccountX" with domain names of your form.
In Acrobat 9, it's how you create a to-do of document WillPrint:
1 Choose advanced > Document processing > set of Document Actions.
2. highlight the Document will be printed.
3. click on modify
4 paste the script into the window, and then click OK.
I don't know if it's the same in Acrobat X, but give it a try.
The script works if they click on the print icon in the toolbar or if they choose file > print.
Note that the document will print still, but they will get an alert informing them which fields are required. The user will still be able to print a document if they click on the print icon or choose file > print. If you want to stop printing, you must obtain for printing by a click on the button you created, which contains a script.
You can do the same for one saving action.

Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI break with a PDF to fill several pages
I'm working on a project at work, on a Dell E6420 (Windows 7 Pro, 8 GB of Ram, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI), involving files PDF fillable. This means that a program takes excel data and converts it into several pages of information of fillable PDF to the screen used to auto fill in other servers. The problem is that when we convert about 10,000 rows of data (1000 + pages) the file will convert, but not open. The CPU fan turns, but nothing appears in the Task Manager, no errors are produced, nothing. The cpu hits 100% treatment, the fan turns and then winds down and the file never opens. I know that is not the corruption of data that I can take the same excel file, split in two, convert the two files, and I can open each created PDF file (about 790 pages each) separately. It will not now then, open both files at the same time. We tried this on multiple computers, with more than enough processing power, so we do not think that it is a matter of systems, but a limitation of the Adobe program.
I researched that Adobe has a 2 GB limit on the size of the file? These files are spell to 790KB - 1000KB in size, but are filled with fields to fill in, so I think it is misleading. Any ideas? I am desperately looking for help on this.
Here's a solution, and if anyone can explain why, I would like to know if its something Adobe can update/fix.
By unchecking "Enable Adobe JavaScript" I was able to get the files to open. So, apparently it is a resource or a similar limitation when using Adobe's JavaScript on the forms to fill out? Is turned off, it opens without a problem. Can someone help explain this?

How can I make changes to the fields in my form to fill out?

It seems that the right answer is right click on the file and select "Edit with Adobe Acrobat" rather than open the file and attempt to modify it since breast.

I have created a form to fill out that is a contract, but I need a way for the person who is to fill the form to insert their logo. Is it possible for someone to insert a logo when you fill out the form to fill out? I'm looking for all the options under the button 'add a text field.
It is not possible within a text field, either. If they have Acrobat, they can use the built-in under Tools - editing content Add Image tool.
If they drive XI or higher, they can use a button form field you will need to set up for them, but the image must be in PDF format.

Is it possible to lock a form to fill out, once it is filled in by the user?
I created a form to fill out for my client. When the customer completes the form and saves it, I want the shape editable or locked. Is it possible to do it without a digital signature?
I use Adobe Acrobat DC and have read most of the information on safety, but it seems that the only way to do this is to apply a digital signature.
I can't put a button on the document as it will be used for printing once completed. Is there a javascript hack method?
You can embed a code in the file that flattens until the file is saved and under certain conditions will also apply a security policy, but the latter is more complex.
Just to flatten the file is easy, however. Enter the following under Tools - code JavaScripts - Document Actions - Document will save:
if (app.viewerType!="Reader") this.flattenPages();
Note that this is not reversible. So use it with caution, especially when used as will win command, because you will not be able to revert to the version of the file with the fields, unless you have a backup of it. If you want that it is possible to inform the user about this step and ask their approval before running it.

Create a form to fill out that can be saved by others
Hi, I work in Adobe Acrobat X Pro, I'm on a PC
I know you go to file > save as... > reader extended pdf >
After that, I get "allow adding text in the Documents (which are not fillable)...".
I then get a form that uses a 'typewriter' tool. "This isn't what I want. I want a form to fill out that can be saved by the person filling out the form and not necessary to use the typewriter tool. I don't like the way looks or works. I hope that there is someone who can help. I used to be able to do this and do not understand what has changed.
Thank you!
You must select activate additional features, so what you try to do
is to allow users of Reader (before XI), fill in the fields on the form and then save
file.

Of the reasons why the contents of a form to fill out on-line can be displayed or printed?
I created a form of 2 pages on Adobe Acrobat XPro. I sent it to specific people, and they filled, saved and sent it back. I am able to view what they typed in my monitor only, when I click on the field, but it will not print the content. Of the reasons why the contents of a form to fill out on-line can be displayed or printed?
What you describe is typical of a PDF form that has been used and corrupted by the application on a Mac. An outdated version of Acrobat or Reader will not cause this. A less likely possibility is also corrupt forms PDF, Microsoft Reader, but in different ways than the preview.

Error when you try to save a form to fill out?
Hello
My staff is an error trying to save information that has been entered in a form to fill out. They are able to print but could not be saved. They receive the error message is: "cannot save the form information please note: you cannot save a completed copy of the form on your computer." If you want a copy for your records, please fill out and print. "They also got the message: 'save a copy of this form for data typed into this form is not saved. Adobe Reader can only save a copy of this form. Please print your form if you would like a copy for your records. »
This form was created in LiveCycle ES4. I have Adobe XI on my computer and I am able to save the form correctly. My staff have Adobe 9 on their computer. Is there something I can do so that they will be able to save the form on their computer, once they've finished will fill?
If you have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro then you could save it as a PDF Reader extended file that would allow saving form data in Adobe Reader 9.
