Satellite L850-161 won't recovery disk boot

When I got the laptop in 2012 I created 4 recovery disks, but since I had my HARD drive replaced in my SATELLITE L850-161 there the partition recovery with nothing in it, but the laptop won't boot no drive either so I can format it but really need, any suggestions?

If you have 4 recovery disks be sure that start you the installation with disc number 1. After Exchange HARD drive, you should be able to use created of the recovery disks for recovery image installation.

Another bootable disk starts correctly?

To be honest I don t understand how new HDDD holds a recovery partition that will be created if recovery image installation works.

Problem is that in such a situation you don t have a lot of options. In the worst case you can order the original disc of recovery for your machine.

    Hello

I have a hp Pavilion p6 2000 ukm. Recently I started getting on my HARD drive error messages, saying it was a failure. I recently bought a new HDD in my pc. I connected it correctly and it says that I need recovery disk / boot disk.

My question is... How to get windows 7 installed on my new hard drive when I plug it in? I'm looking for the iso of windows 7, I think that his name, but I can't find any .iso file.  I'm trying to install windows 7 on my new drive HARD I need not my other files like music... etc. I'm looking to get my HARD drive installed with windows 7, where it has IE and I can go back to the installation of everything I had previously. Should u use "create a system image"? Its a big file and requires 7 + dvd discs is my only option? I have my 25 key windows 7 as well.

  • Satellite L850-161 starts * recovery * mode after I turn it off sleep

I bought this laptop there are a little more than two months, and the first time that something unusual has happened was when I put the laptop to sleep and when I flipped open the screen stayed black and would not turn on, but I could hear the sounds of startup.

I had to close, by pressing the power button.
The second time it happened, when I turned on it again, he has said "Windows loading files...". "and then comes up with a new screen with a big red"Warning"splashed on it.

He said "when the recovery started, all programs and files will be deleted.
Are you sure that you have backed up your files?
Please connect your power adapter and press Yes or no."

I restarted the computer at this time, and then everything was back to normal.
I checked the laptop for any viruses, but the anti-virus software says that my laptop is clean.
Is this a problem with the hardware or something?
Given that it is almost brand new and I take good care of it?

Sorry for the hike, I'm very stupid technologically

    Hello
I hope someone can help out me?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100, model PSAANA-04E005 under Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 32-bit. I am wanting to sell, but have all my programs stuff etc I want to erase files and be able to convey simple with system also when I bought. Memory (purchased January 2007) gave me a Toshiba Recovery with this power drive do something if I needed it's of course is not the case to be foundI.

Is there anyway I can fix this? All I can download etc to do this?

    Thanks heaps

    Hello

If you n t find the recovery disk more and you want to restore the original settings, ask an authorized service provider. Guys can put in order a new disc of recovery for you.
You have the address of the guy?

Alternative, you can also sell the laptop without recovery disks. Just wipe the HARD drive before selling it with the HARD drive like s boot cleaning tool Darik and nuke or some other program.

But I think you get a better price if it comes with recovery disks ;)

  • Satellite C50-A-19 t - recovery disks does not

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C50-A-19 t with windows OS 8.1

Recently, my laptop had start-up problems so I contacted toshiba support and they told me to get the backupmedia.toshiba.eu recovery disk and I ordered the drive and it arrived today.

When I get back the recovery disc and boot from the hard drive (ODD) it brings the windows logo then after a minute, it goes to a white screen and I waited and after a while, he was still a white screen
I had already been in the BIOS settings to boot from the CD but even after that the same problem persists

    Help, please

    Hello

Go to the BIOS and disable the option called: secure boot
Now you should be able to boot from the STRANGE.

By the way: Please check if the HARD drive is listed on the first page of BIOS (name, size, etc.)
Where the details of the HARD disk are not visible, drive HARD isn't recognized by the BIOS could be linked to a malfunction of the HARD drive.

  • Satellite P200D-139 - Question about recovery disk

My father has a Toshiba Satellite P200D-139 and we lost the recovery for laptop disk and the recovery HARD drive image also disappeared.

So I ordered a new pack of Toshiba and I was just wondering if I had to put a new HARD drive in the laptop (a bigger HARD drive) the recovery pack contains Windows Vista to put it back on the hard drive?

I once had an old Windows XP on Toshiba Satellite 1900 and packed on that hard drive if I bought a new disc and ran the recovery disk and it put Windows back on so I hope that this pack for this laptop does the same.

    Hey,.

Is that the Toshiba recovery disc can restore the factory settings every time and on each HARD drive. If you replace a new s than what it still possible to restore the factory settings on the same HARD drive, nothing is installed on the HARD drive. HARD drive recovery files are not necessary for the recovery disk because the recovery itself contains these files.

So replace with a bigger HARD drive and boot from the recovery disc. You come out of the box settings and the computer will be ready to use after this :)

  • Satellite Pro A120 - I need recovery disk

By the way, can someone please explain why Toshiba offer all the necessary drivers for the operating system if they do not provide you with the operating system itself - i.e., they give you a disk image which has already drivers preinstalled on it... Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, unless you had to find your own copy of windows XP, which probably won't be not work with the serial key Toshiba windows XP first and then try and download and install each driver? I do not.

    Hello

I think that you have tried to order the recovery disk by using the online store of recovery site.
You will not be able to order using this service, because the only Vista recovery disc could be ordered using this service.

In your case, I would ask an ASP in your country for this disc.
And notes; There are more FSA in your country as only.

Then perhaps you should contact several service points.

  • Blue Screen: Error Code C0000218(Registry File Failure) I have NO recovery disk, boot disk, etc. What can I do?

I have a desktop HP that I installed a new hard drive on Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3. He has been working very well. But, the other day, I took out my DVD ROM and try it switched with different DVD - ROM, and when I restarted my computer, I got the "blue screen error Code: C0000218 (registry file failure)." The registry cannot load the HIVE (file). \System ROOT-SYSTEM 32-CONFIG-SOFTWARE or its log or alternate. It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing. "So, back to my main issue, I guess. How can I fiw it without any sort of disk recovery or boot disk etc... I know I could probably go buy some sort of recovery software, but can't afford it right now. Can someone help me, please?

You have all the Norton/Symantec products installed and if so, do you know which ones and versions?

You start with a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • Satellite L500-20 X - no recovery disk

    Hi all

Since yesterday my Satellite L500-20 x have only called Bluescreens 'Driver not less than or equal'--> Restart! It starts with win7 until the opening of the session, after that reboot every time. I try a lot of things to fix:
    Systemrepair (3Times) and no change
Recovery of SystemRecovery (per disk HARD no CD) work but always bluescreens and no change to solve the problem.
Memory check (from Win7) checked 3 times 100% ok.
Toshiba HDD Recovery (I try several times but it turned off each time by bluescreen process... so I can't do that - unpossible complete recovery!)

This is the first laptop I have buyed all and I've never heard of a recovery disk - so I don't create one! Now, I can't get in win7 - so I can't create it now. Anyone have any ideas? I want new windows to install... but I do not have the same Win Disk. Win = Win7 64 bit laptop all I have is WIn7 32 Bit for my HomePC.

    I need help!

    Salvation of the beam,

If you don t have a Toshiba Recovery disk, you can order one at Toshiba directly:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

It's worth a try if HDD recovery option doesn't work properly.

If you order such a disc and install the original on the HARD drive settings will be restored. A clean install factory with all the drivers and tools (on the settings in the box) will be restored, and if that doesn t work, this seems to be a hardware malfunction

  • Satellite P10 792 drivers OR recovery disk

I bought a Toshiba laptop from the United Arab Emirates, model * Satellite P10 792 * in 2004 and had no problems with it until I decided to format in Turkey/Istanbul where I live now. I format and now the distributor of TOSHIBA in Turkey can not yet find the * drivers or the recovery disk * for me because they say it is a too old model! Why sell something if you run it in 5 years? I had no problem with the laptop my only mistake was to format thinking that it would make my computer!

I desperately * need help from someone who can help me to find the GOLD recovery disc download drivers * for this model of laptop SATELLITE P10 792. Please help me. I don't want to throw my computer in the trash, it is with me since 2004, and I knew it would last me five years if I wanted to format :(

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hello

I don't understand why you're so angry. Visit the Toshiba download page and download all the drivers for Windows XP Home edition. If I remember well this laptop model is listed under the option ARCHIVE (type of product).

  • Satellite Pro L10 - 135 no recovery disk, need to restore

    Hello

We have a Satellite Pro L10-135: Intel with Windows XP.

The laptop is a few years old and is full of spyware, my partner has also accidentally deleted some program files. I have removed all personal files and would like to completely reformat the unit as long as the plant.

But she lost the recovery CD. I tried to get them at Toshiba, but when I enter the serial number it says that its too old and the drive is not available. I also tried to find the Toshiba recovery disc creator, but on the menu start, is found instead it says Start > all programs > Toshiba > Networking or start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities.

I need the process to be fool-proof, because I'm not too confident with computers, so I would get a real restoration of Toshiba, rather than who to download drivers, etc..

Anyone know where I could buy or download the disc in the United Kingdom?

    Thank you very much.

It is always an issue with the old models of laptops, but what you can try is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider in your country and ask for help.
Maybe they have archived somewhere old recovery disc and can help you with this.

One last thing: very often, I see people offer on eBay recovery disks.
Check it out. Maybe you will be lucky and find the recovery for your model of laptop disk there.

    Hi guys,.

I have a Satellite L30 and need to completely reinstall Vista but I lost my recovery CD

    Help, please

Are you sure it's the recovery disk?
What is the content of the CD if you find Windows to display the contents of the CD/DVD?

  • Satellite 1130-Z25 - lack of recovery disk

    Hi all

my laptop Satellite must have Windows XP Home Edition repaired/reinstalled and miss me the recovery disc.
A friend used his recovery disk to reinstall Windows XP but it does not accept my license key.

Can anyone suggest what should I do then?

    Hello

Generally, the serial key that could be found at the bottom of the device does not work with other Windows operating systems.
The key belongs to the operating system which is part of the image of Toshiba

If you need a recovery CD to try to contact the ASP in your country to get a new compatible CD for you satellite 1130-Z25.

But note; As far as I know if the laptop series is too old then you will not be able to order this CD because of some restrictions.
In this case, you can buy an original OS of Microsoft Windows to install it on the laptop.

You can then use the page of the European driver Toshiba Toshiba drivers
