Adobe Application Manager - download on Mac 10.7.5 error

Hello

Help, please.

I have this problem for more than a week now. I contacted Adobe support almost every day, but all the solutions they offer did not work. I uninstalled the AAM and Creative Cloud App several times installed again, deleted the folder AAMUpdater, the file opm.db , installed only MAO, but I cannot yet access the creative cloud. Before installed programs on the same computer are the creative cloud international English CS6. The error appeared after the upgrade of the creative cloud App. The installed version is now: 1.0.0.183 and AAM is 7.0. I used Safari, Firefox and Chrome without success. There is no network or firewall problem because the second machine I, an older, running 10.6.8. connect with creative cloud with no problems via the same router. The computer I work with is a MacBook Pro with 10.7.5. in German. What is a language problem? I used the English software on a German OS for years... the last beeing creative cloud CS6.

Today, the software installed (CS6) started getting this error at the start "Adobe Application Manager, needed to verify your license is missing or damaged."

So please help, any type of solution is welcome... my time is running out. I use these applications to work. The customers are waiting... Thank you.

PS Please see screenshots (they are in German, but I understand that the problem is international).

Thank you.

The idea with the Live chat Support was really good. They have taken control of the machine remotely and solved the problem! A change in permissions of certain files from Adobe is required (reading and writing), after that, they performed the same procedures as you also sugested. Great team! Thank you once again.

  • Adobe Application Manager - download error

I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. I downloaded the Application Manager. I opened the Manager, connect, then the computer just by saying download error. Please contact customer support.

The application manager also does not appear in programs. I thought that if I uninstall and reinstall what might work, but I can't actually uninstall it.

    Any ideas?

    I use:

    Windows 7 Business - Service pack 1

    64-bit operating system.

Ok.. Here is how I solved this problem. This could be a help to anyone. In one of the forums there was advice for a problem where Creative Cloud connection constantly requested ID, which is what precipitated this problem with Application Manager. I uninstalled creative Cloud connection then:

I dragged my file opm.db by dragging on the destop. I then went to re-download Creative connection Cloud, which caused the Adobe Application Manager to launch ask for my credentials and instead of the dreaded mistake of downloading, it launched. This has created a new opm.db file, which apparently now allows application Manager to load and work.

On Mac, you can find the opm.db file located in this folder: \Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE

The correct answer to the thread did not directly help, but knowing that there are more files in the folder utilities under Adobe Application Manager allowed me to try to delete all files from Adobe in this folder. After that, I was able to install the new application manager.

Advice to Adobe if you want:

Consider changing the installer to find and delete all the files in a conflict like this to the user to help with the installation process.

    Hi FireBert85,

One solution is to download/install the trial of Photoshop CS6 and then license under the creative cloud

  • Adobe Application Manager is updating every time I start it.

I use Adobe Application Manager Mac OS 10.6.8 to manage my subscriptions Photoshop and InDesign. A few days back, Adobe Application Manager downloaded and installed an updated (to himself) and since then, whenever I open it, it installs an update (the message says "updating Adobe Application Manager"), and then asks for my password of Mac OS and then my Adobe ID and password. So, if I light 5 times a day, each time the same process will be repeated. It's so frustrating and unnecessarily consumes my internet bandwidth. All troubleshooting help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Adobe Application Manager is no longer used now to download and install applications on older operating systems.

Adobe Application Manager is automatically updated for the purposes of Office Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac OS X 10.7 or later and Windows 7 or later version.

  • The update is impossible - you are already running Adobe Application Manager...

I am on Mac OS 10.8.4. When I try to update InDesign CC to the latest version, Adobe Application Manager launches and gives me the following error:

    Update failed

    Updates cannot be applied

You already use Adobe Application Manager. Please close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before you apply the updates.

So, I leave the MAO, check that it does not turn in the activity monitor and then restart it. to get the same error message. I have not found a solution online, so I hope someone can help me to go beyond that.

Have Rfahl you tried to restart, and then applying the update again?  If so and you still receive the same error, then you might want to try to install the update in Safe Boot mode.  You can find more details for commissioning in a safe secure OS X Lion: start in safe mode - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4373.

  • Just finished a clean install of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and Adobe Application Manager does not and cannot install a new copy of Adobe

Just re-installed a fresh copy of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and so can't check my copy.  What should I do?

I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager can be damaged and that I should install a new version of the MAA.  But after downloading a new copy of MAA and makes installation, the program (AAM) will still not installed.  It's like an infinite loop!

    Please, someone help!

    Thank you!

    HI gener7!

I'm sorry but I'm not on creative cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was Adobe Application Manager was not working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is: 8.0.0160

The link you provided was the update I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window will appear during the installation that says:

    We encountered the following problems.

Setup could not initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

and then the link to Adobe Support Advisor that leads to a page "Adobe Support Advisor has been abandoned".

    Thank you!

  • Cannot download app creative cloud or Adobe Application Manager

I'm all of a sudden having problems with creative application of cloud. He asked me to reinstall (I think, a few days ago). I uninstalled, downloaded the latest version, and now it won't let me install back. He gets to Midway through the installation process, and then disappears with no warning whatsoever. The application does not install on my system.

In a first attempt to download the Creative Cloud Desktop app, I received a message stating that I had to download Adobe Application Manager to resolve the problem. I downloaded which so and immediately get an error message that declares "we met the following problems. Setup could not initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. "I click on the link and it says Adobe Support Advisor is no longer available.

I'm on an iMac running iOS 10.10 (Yosemite Golden Master). Even though it was not officially released, I've had the OS for a while now without any problem to Adobe. I didn't update anything before this problem occurred, it seemed to come out of the blue.

The whole process is maddening. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, I did. After you have reinstalled the operating system twice, I was about to start exploring other options for design program. On a last ditch effort, I was able to solve the problem by reviewing another thread (Creative Cloud Desktop won't install issues on Mac OS X 10.8.4). Step 2 in the process of Romit was an extra step that other suggestions had not listed and seemed to do the trick. The cleaning tool does not delete these.

Whatever happens, thank you for your help as well!
