  Your license allows you to have the software enabled on both machines at any time.  If you need to have on another you would need to disable one of the two machines before you activate the new installation.

  I can't respond directly to this question, but a part of your problem may be that CS6 has not been and will not be updated to be compatible with this operating system... so you will never have this old software works correctly with your new operating system

  Whenever I try to open them it says that I have to uninstall and reinstall applications (error 16).

  However, when I tried to uninstall CS6 it says I have that alias cannot open the original alias is found, with the options to remove or fix the alias.

  Two possible problems:

  (1) you cannot install software CS6 by copying a backup or migrate it. It must be installed by an original installer. If you do not have your installer that you can download here:

  (2) CS6 in incompatible with El Capitan if you don't have the latest version of the Mac OS X software. You will need to use an earlier operating system.

  -how much and what other programs you have open at the same time

  Used SPACE on your hard drive is determined by what you have installed

  -If you have a small disk, disabling and uninstalling the CC will free hard drive space

  -If you have a large drive, but is more paid for a subscription of cloud, there is no reason to keep installed CC

  You must install using installation files... your CD should be sufficient, unless you don't have a disk drive available - the serial number of the disks will be required in all cases.  If you need to download the installation files you can find them through the links below.  Your license allows you to have two active facilities, so if you do want to install Windows 7 as a backup (at least until you are sure the new install works), you can.

  When I go to 'Manage account', click on my products, I see that I have Adobe Photoshop version 13.0 registred back in December 2013. It has a serial number and everything, but I can't for the life of find me a download link so that I can download the software and activate it?

  I recently acquired a new computer and I have Photoshop installed on my old, CS6 but I want to install Photoshop on this news, but I can't find or me remember how I sat in 2013.

  Adobe CS6 first & still CS6.  I used the dynamic link to make live DVD of Prem CS6 still CS6 several times but only for projects much less than an hour with no menus etc.  I have now been asked by a colleague make a DVD of a show about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Naturally, I have found that we still said: there was not enough space on the disk and his colleagues tried to teach me the mysteries of "compression".

  In this study, suddenly decided he would transcode the Prem CS6 project and a DVD were made easily. So as much as I didn't yet no change to the automatic settings have been made.   Thank you for your responses and interest. Although I used several times for short programs, everything comes to be left in automatic mode and all is well. I've learned that nothing that happens in the background.  Because my colleague wanted a long stage show - 1 h 45 minutes - on a standard disc, I realized that if we didn't know how, we could 'compress' the video so that it fits. Yes I know the quality could suffer, but it's how he provided his show DVD in the past with someone else to do it for him. That's where I come off with my very limited knowledge still the mysteries of "compression".

  But now, as a result of my nose, I found on my PC a prog called Adobe Media Encoder and research that I found that this was the way to compress this video less than 4.7 GB. After a few tries, we were able to do what he wanted and he was satisfied with the results.
