Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 silent installation
Dear support,
I try to deploy ADE 4.5 silently with the following command but a popup window comes up and ask me if I want to include Norton Security: ADE_4.5_Installer.exe/s
I have red on this post a solution which does not seem to work any more:
It is said to add some reg keys before you run Setup in quiet mode.
In my case, I always get the pop-up window, so I can't use this method of mass deploy this update.
You have another command or reg key to avoid this behavior, please?

Unable to update launch Adobe Digital Editions for InDesign CC 2014
Platform: OSX (mainly on 10.10 but tested with 10.9.3)

Context: for a teaching/business environment, after you have installed Adobe CC 2014 suite by Creative Cloud Packager with Adobe Update Manager disabled, I try to run Digital Publishing Suite without success.
When launch Folio Builder in InDesign CC 2014, receive the following notification:
"Digital Publishing Suite.
A software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please go to the Help menu and select updates to get the necessary software. »
I'm unable to install the updates in this way because they are disabled through the installation.
When you try to update via the Remote Update Manager, observed the following error in the log:
"20/01/15 22:01:49:804 | [WARNING] | | JEAN | Public services | RemoteUpdateManager | | | 990728 | Update (AdobeDigitalPublishingCC2014-2.0/32.0.0) is not supported by RemoteUpdateManager. Jump the transformation of this update. »
When you attempt to download and install the update manually by running the AdobePatchInstaller.app in 'AdobeDigitalPublishingCC2014-AdobeUpdate' results in the following:
"Update failed
Updates cannot be applied
Please contact your administrator if you want to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been removed by the administrator.
If the problem persists, contact customer support for assistance.
Packages have been freshly created with the same results.
Is there another way to install this component InDesign CC 2014? It is a requirement for our computer labs to include this point.

I have since received information of a workaround - listed in a different thread: cannot install non-standard updates - can not update launch Adobe Digital Editions for InDesign CC 2014
To enable updates, follow these steps:
1) navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0 and you will find a .dat (AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat) file.
(2) Please open the file in question and you will find a line item:
1 .(3) Please, change the value from 1 to 0 and save the file in the same location.
On a Mac, which is essentially the same, but location: / Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
It gave me additional advice that updates of the Toolbox for DPS are not available when you create the deployment package of Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition on Mac OS. (I think this may be the same using Creative Cloud Packager, as you found)

The article above suggests that you can download and install the DPS update silently, however, a user must be connected to the computer - not really feasible for enterprise environments.
So I guess the process because it would be:
(1) copy the contents of the PCG package update to the remote computer
(2) enable updates by modifying the AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat file
(3) remote to launch the DPS update mode silent (when someone is connected to the machine)
(4) turn off updates again when you are finished...

I can't get the Adobe digital editions to install. It downloads but will not open
I tried the adobe problems offers and still can not get it open. they have sent me to tell you that it seems to be a problem are not uncommon with some clients of window vista. I just got a meal and the need to get this downloaded. Thank you

The following workaround solution allows you to install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows Vista.
Download the installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.
Choose to save the installation files in a directory on your hard drive.
Go to the save location, right click on ADE_2.0_Installer.exe and select Properties.
On the general tab, click Unblock next to the security.
Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.
Double-click on the ADE_2.0_Installer.exe to start the installation process.
As an alternative, you can follow the cannot install Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software.

Is it possible to download Adobe Digital Edition 3.0 or copy the exe file to my computer connected to the internet for my laptop no internet connected as I use my laptop for programs who are not internet required. The reason is I want to read on my laptop when not at home of the books on my library Adobe?

Windows 10: Programm lasst sich nicht installieren. Fehlermeldung: 'My digital' Datei kann nicht uberschrieben werden. Datei und Programm mehrfach Debby und neu installed. Keine Chance. Programm auch schon über einen other downloaded browser. Immer die same message. Bei der auch schon auf "ignorieren" getippt Installation. Dann wird das Programm aber auch nicht richtig installed. Kann mir helfen someone? Auf meinem Rechner lief das Programm ohne problem alten. Kann are also nicht an meiner Unfahigkeit liegen.

Software Adobe digital editions continues to try to install itself.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit, my OS is a new installation (3 weeks). At random times during computer use, adobe digital editions trying to move (even if it is already installed), and then several error messages spawn saying "an instance of the editions of adobe 4.02 Installer is already running". Sometimes, this will result in 20 + error messages even if I immediately press the button cancel on the installer.
I went through my whole computer and deleted all instances of the installation exe editions, checked my startup in msconfig, run malwarebytes; Spybot; most of the security; empty temporary files; uninstalled digital editions and install I tried using the command prompt.
The guest seems to occur more frequently after starting my computer, sometimes I get a string of instances separated from 3-4 in the first 5 to 10 minutes to boot. But the installer happens then also randomly during the use of the regular computer, even when idle. This is getting very frustrating because it that the installer requires my screen alone, drag me out of whatever program I was using at the time.
Any help would be much appreciated, please let me know if I can provide more information to solve this stupid question.
Well, I found my own solution, it can help you as well. When I got the error to install it, I opened the Task Manager and tipped into the 'processes' tab I've selected one of the instances of the error, right click and press "open file location".
It took me to the file in my windows user account, which seemed to be some partially installed temp files. Delete this file (shift + delete), and the stupid problem should disappear.

Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 crashing on Mac
I have a Macintosh running the Mavericks, 10.9.5 and was happily running Adobe Digital Editions 2 and then made the mistake of trying to "update" Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 - and the installer crashed. Now when I try to launch Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2 it just hangs, and restore Time Machine of Adobe Digital Editions 2 gives me an application that does not open.
All the advice that never try to use Adobe Digital Editions software again and remembering to Adobe as a company that does not support its products?
With more details: I found an answer to a similar question on the Forum of TTWTT (TTMTT), who posted a link to download the versions 2 and 3 of Digital Editions to Adobe Digital Editions download (Adobe Digital Editions download). I tried to find these downloads on Adobe, far from being a useful site with a total lack of success. Version 3 seems to work.
If Adobe works, it is a totally different matter.
So far, it seems that Adobe Digital Editions 4.02 is a disaster, best avoided.

I can't allow my computer to the Adobe Digital Editions software
I tried to allow my computer to the Adobe Digital Editions software, but I get an error message saying that I can't use an ID that has already been used to allow another device (I have already authorized my laptop with this ID). The error message is meaningless for me, because the question of authorization must be able to read books on several devices.

ADE has sometimes its registration/activation confused and in a semi-autorise State.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this State.

Run without authorization is a vicious trap that Adobe has unsuspecting customers.
They give warnings very soft, but not nearly strong enough.
When you register "without ID", ADE creates an anonymous/default ID limited powers (for example cannot be used to share with other devices).
Whenever you first load a book DRM, this copy of the book is related to whatever the computer identifier is registered at the time.
Any book that you load this anonymous ID is active gets associated with that ID, and can be played on any other device.
When you successfully register your computer with a real identification, this old anonymous ID is lost.
Now you have not all devices that can read the book.
The only way I know round, is to use a DRM stripper like epubee before remove you the device.
I do NOT advocate using this code to work around the valid limitations placed on a DRM book.
However, when the problem arises only because of the ineptitude of Adobe ADEPT DRM infrastructure and its implementation.
such a measure is totally justifiable.

You can't download ade or you click on the downloaded file and it fails? If late, right click > click Run as administrator.
