You download, install, run the DNG Converter and use to convert a FOLDER of images in DNG raw.  These DNG can then be imported into older LR.  When you select the source in the DNG Converter, do not forget that selecting a folder so just click on the name of the folder to select, rather than double-clicking the name of the folder to open it.

That's what I see after the Adobe DNG Converter.  I would like to know the nature of the conversion error and to be able to download a list of files that are not converted.  By clicking on the button to learn more about Adobe.com does not help, believe it or not.

I think that the adobe dng converter only converts files camera raw to DNG.

Does not work with tif or jpeg files, so it seems that this is the reason for the message "there was an error of analysis of the file.

Please HELP: How to view and edit RAW files from a Nikon D7000 in Photoshop CS?

I downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 9.0, but when I try to download a file no picture and it says gray: "no items match your search."

I'm in tight (like most designers), so any solution ASAP would be great. And Yes, I know that my Photoshop is old. Nothing I can really do about it at the moment. Thanks in advance!

In Photoshop, select help > about plug-in > Camera Raw.

If it is 2.3 or less, you need to update Camera Raw 2.4, which you can download here:

Minor correction to what SSprengel wrote...

The RX100M3 is supported only by version 8.5.  Looks like you need a newer version.

  • Adobe DNG Converter problem - does not recognize the files!

    Hello

I downloaded Adobe digital negative converter as a means to convert Nikon NEF of a Nikon D3000 files to DNG so I can edit them in Photoshop CS3. Currently, the images of the D3000 will not open in CS3.

When you use the DNG Converter, by clicking on the button 'Secret' is to come up with the following error message:
"The source folder does contain not any camera supported raw files". The source, I selected folder of Nikon D300 NEF raw images, which I downloaded from the camera.

Any help on this would be welcome. Am I realize what I have to do? I don't see that I'm doing something wrong!

    Thank you very much

My mistake!  It was the download for Mac.

    It is a Windows:

I was going to bed and does not check correctly.

  • Why is it not Adobe DNG converter can "support" RAW files?

My OS is Windows 7 and I'm doing the basic changes in Lightroom 1. I shot the photo on a Canon 70 d in RAW format.

Do I need another converter? I'm confused bc he manipulated RAW files from a Canon T3i.

Canon 70 d requires at least 5.2 Lightroom. You will need to either use the DNG Converter either upgrade your software. The T3i requires at least Lightroom 3.4.1. How are you able to work with Lightroom 1?

  • Convert previously converted from raw with Adobe DNG converter files?

It seems that I'm not able to convert my raw files that have already been previously converted to DNG with the dng converter.  I am wanting to start editing everything new with the raw image, but before I can start editing a raw image, I have to convert it to a .dng.  Why doesn't the converter program let me convert the raw file again and give me the opportunity to appoint differently than the first file?  What I am doing wrong?

If not, is it possible I can say ACR (whether in bridge or photoshop) to get rid of all the changes made on the first converted .dng file and start over again with image in camera?

    Thanks for any help!

I don't know why your DNG Converter has stopped working.  You have successfully updated to a later version?  But you don't need to go through this process again.  In Bridge, just click on the images and there is an option to reset the Camera Raw settings.  Or, inside of Camera Raw, press the Alt key and a button will change to "Reset".  In both cases, all the camera raw settings are erased, giving you the image as it has been downloaded.

  • Adobe's DNG Converter can't read raw files

I still use PS CS2, which is no longer supported.  I downloaded what's called the DNG Converter.  This is the latest version and covers my cameras raw formats.  However, I can't recognize a NEF file on my hard drive.  Is this something that escapes me on this subject?

You can of course you have the latest ACR for CS2: Adobe - Photoshop: for Windows: Camera Raw 3.7 update

Then download the latest DNG Converter Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 9.5

and implemented by using this video: Camera Raw: how to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube you define preferences for the ACR version DNG Converter you have which is less than the default value.

  • Unable to find raw files to convert when I use Adobe's DNG Converter

Recently, I bought a new camera Olympus XZ-1. I shoot exclusively RAW images (for this camera raw files are called .orf). Then when I tried to import these .orf files in the organizer of Phtoshop item 8 it is imposible, nor I could see these photos in the Organizer. While surfing on various forums, I was able to understand that Camera Raw included in element 8, Camera Raw 5.5, is not to support the gross of Olympus .orf, and if I didn't want to not upgrade my 8 element to item 9 or 10, a simple alternative is to download Adobe DNG converter to convert all my dng files .orf files who could then imported by item 8 and open in Camera raw 5.5.

I downloaded the DNG Converter 6.6 version and installed in on my computer running on Windows 7. The problem is that, once inside the DNG Converter, when you select the folder where all my files in .orf (selecting a folder), I don't see the raw files to convert it! I tried to select a folder with NEF (Nikon raw files) instead, and it's the same problem! Why can I not see these files myself that I want to convert when I select the file in the DNG Converter?

    I'm dying to help!

    Thank you very much!

I do not often use the DNG Converter. But I think that if you are inside the DNG converter workspace that you have to work at the folder level, don't wait do not see raw files. Another way to try to convert is to use Windows Explorer to navigate to your raw files and drag one or more of them on the icon for the DNG Converter. This is how I often used it in the past.

  • Lightroom CC & DNG Converter cannot open the CR2 files, but Photoshop CC can?

    Hi guys,.

I have a problem with raw on this computer files and I can't understand why. I can open my. In Photoshop CC CR2 files, but the same files are not readable by Lightroom or Adobe DNG converter. Lightroom says "files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom", and the converter DNG said "source folder contains no raw files of any supported camera."

All software is updated to the date of this post. The. CR2 files come out a cannon 80 d and a Canon 7 d and are not corrupt (as evidenced by the fact that Photoshop has no problem to open). Other raw files that have been imported directly from cameras, or that were copied from the camera memory cards a different machine, then transferred to the machine in question were very well. Other machines have no problem with those files, either. It is something specific to the software installed on this machine and how it is configured, and I'm at a loss as to what could be the cause of it.

At one point, app Windows photo was accidentally set as default application to open CR2 files. This may have been when the problem started, but I can't say for sure. Whatever it is, this problem has been fixed; Lightroom is now set as the default application for CR2 files. The machine was also installed on CaptureOne (since it is uninstalled) and he had the same problems with these raw files.

Before you reinstall Windows, someone at - it suggestions?

Suggest your Camera Raw (used by Photoshop, but not Lightroom) is 9.5.

In Lightroom, click Help > topic. Must they be 2015.5.1 if you are up-to-date. You need at least 2015.5 for 80 d files.

    The. CR2 files come out a cannon 80 d and a Canon 7 d

You mean the 7 D Mark II? The 7 d is an old camera since 2009.

  • Cannot open the Canon 80 d Raw files PSE11. Have downloaded DNG Converter, but it does not work. [was: new camera, the old version of Photoshop Elements]

I have a new Canon EOS 80 d camera and Photoshop elements 11 will not open to raw files. Following the instructions online, I downloaded dng converter 9.5, which is supposed to update Photoshop for this device. But it still doesn't work. It is unclear what I see online (and there is no number to call for support) If a later version of elements is needed to do this, or if items is even helped at all by the converter of 9.5. -What for the full program of Photoshop? Any suggestions? I spent a few hours on this today, and it's frustrating. After Nikon to Canon this round and so they need new lenses, filters, etc., I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

I downloaded dng converter 9.5, which is supposed to update Photoshop for this device.

The DNG Converter does not update Photoshop Elements.

The DNG Converter is a free utility provided by Adobe to convert files to DNG files your Camera Raw files. Then, you change the converter's resulting DNG files in your version of Photoshop Elements.

Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube

I have not exactly cash remains for a new program of camera as well.

In this digital age, always the factor of the cost of an upgrade software with the cost of a new digital camera. A good camera filter will cover the cost of the upgrade of the software.

One of the benefits of the Cloud Adobe is that updates of the new cameras are included in the membership fee with no additional cost.

  • LR DNG Converter

I have a Nikon D7200 and I am trying to convert the NEF RAW files to DNG. For months, I used the Adobe DNG Converter program very well. For some reason, it started to freeze:

    http://i.imgur.com/zjooE1m.jpg

I downloaded DNG Converter 9.4 but it still does the same thing. The program gets up but just freezes or crashes. I can't click on one of the buttons.

I read somewhere that LR 5.7.1 does not require the DNG Converter, so I updated to this version, but it will not always be it import Lightroom. He said that the format is not recognized.

I need to get this DNG Converter works again. Please notify.

In fact, the DNG Converter does not appear on this list. In my view, all that is necessary is to remove the DNG program. Then, it would be possible to reinstall.

  • DNG Converter error message?

I recently bought a new camera Nikon D7100, not supported by my version of Lightroom (ver 3.6). I downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 7.4.0.137 and managed to convert a little over 1,000 RAW D7100 files. Tonight I inserted the card of the day with a little more than 500 images on this and the converter converted DNG 185 of them without any problem. Image 3186, however, he has begun to deliver the error message in the screenshot below:

    Screen shot 2016-01-25 at 8.11.03 PM.png

I don't think that this is the result of a faulty card because I reinserted the card in the camera and get an overview of all images without problem. Does anyone know what could be the cause? And what can I do about it?

    Thank you!

If your destination for converted DNG files folder is also on the camera card where the originals are, the card can be full and will not accept more images. Make the destination hard drive. Or copy the originals on the hard disk before you run the conversion.
