  Thanks, I ended up making another cover with freeware PhotoRec, it worked and I got all the pictures back. A bit fiddly to use but free. I must have downloaded software recovery of five or six, but many of them cannot recover very well raw files.

  I just bought a Canon. When I shoot in JPG format, there is no problem, but I can't get the Organizer to catalog the RAW files. Also, I can not open the RAW files (CR2) of the editor. The error message indicates that the file type cannot be recognized. Any ideas?

  I just installed 10 items. When I try to open the CR2 taken on my Canon 450 d files, I get the following message which says it's the wrong type of file.

  When I went to / on Plug In Camera Raw is not yet listed.

  Is there a solution for this problem?

  I have a user having difficulty opening files of the orf. When the problem was first brought to my attention, that we could not open the nef files either. I installed the Adobe Camera Raw plugin and then the nef files can be opened but not the orf files.
  Anyone know why this would be and what can be done to solve the problem?

  Maybe it's that the camera is not supported by the 6.7 camera raw for photoshop cs5 plugin.

  (camera raw 6.7 is the new supported by photoshop cs5 camera raw plugin)

  If the cameras are not supported by 6.7, then you can use the 8.7 dng converter to convert dng files best, which photoshop cs5 should then be able to open.

  Method 1:

  Right-click on the external hard drive in Windows Explorer, click Explore, see if you can recover the files.

   

  Method 2: Check the hard drive for errors.

  I purscahed PShop CS6 Upgrade a few days there is a update for the full CS4 Extended (which has been updated CS5 last year).  I installed CS6 as an upgrade to the CS5 installed and registered.

  Bridge CS6 or Photoshop CS6 read Canon Cr2 raw files, and start "On Photoshop" display my purchased CS6 is a beta version.

  What has gone wrong?  Should I uninstall CS5 and CS6, reinstall CS4 and apply the CS6 on CS4 upgrade?

  You would need 11 PSE to open these files directly in the PSE. Your options are:

  1. use DPP.

  2. download the free DNG Converter and allows to convert your raw files dng files that your version of the raw converter can open:

  Hello. I just downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 6.7 trying to open the CR2 (pictured with G15) files.  But it does not recognize (gray/cannot click) CR2 files.

  I use Mac OS X 10.6.8.  What is confusing, is that I can open the CR2 files in my computer with Photoshop CS4 that I have.  And the CS4 can open most other RAW files.

  I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

  I'm trying to reinstall windows vista for the following reasons:

  1. I have SQL Server 2008 installed on my computer.  I deleted some files a long time ago and it screwed something and I couldn't reinstall.
  2. I had partitioned my hard drive for vista half and half SuSE and I deleted who and when I did, I think I deleted another partition - my recovery partition (E:\?).
  3. I need to clean my laptop.

  When I try to start the installation of a disk and I put in my product key, I get the following error:

  Windows cannot open the required file E:\Sources\install.wim.  The file does not exist.  Make suure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.  Error code: 0 x 80070002.

  Let me know if you have any ideas how I can fix it.  My next step was to recreate this E directory and download the install.wim file and re start the installation.  I could not find the file install.wim well.

  Hi Rob,

  I checked the link you provided.  What you downloaded was just the Vista recovery environment.  You cannot actually re - install Vista with that and if you blew your recovery partition unfortunately you may be out of luck.  You blew your partition containing Vista runs so the SFC will be of no help either.  I wish I had better news for you, but I don't see any way o get on without a Vista DVD.  I have good news for you if.  When you get your HP drive if you have problems with the installation, we will be able to help you with that.

  1. when exactly you get this error message?
  2. what disc do you use to reinstall?
  3. What is the exact error that appears when you try to start?
  4. at what point of the installation you get the error message?

  After researching the error 0x8007000D code is essentially due to file corruption and a problem with the drive itself.

  First check if you have scratches or dust on the disc and clean the surface and try again.

  To check if the disk is wrong, you will need to copy the contents of the DVD to the hard drive and try to install using that.

  Try the steps from the following link:
