Adobe do not open audio files directly over.

Hi people. I have a small problem when opening the wav files to Audition. For some reason any after udating to Windows Media Player, he tried to take over as the default program to open the WAV files. So, I went into Add/Remove programs and tried to reset the settings of the hearing to be the default player. No luck. So, I reinstalled hearing and made sure to click all the files I wanted to Audition to partner with and still no luck. When I double click on a .wav file it opens hearing but there is still no waveform display. If I want to open the file, I have to click with the right button on the file and choose open or edit with Audition for it to open. The icon of the hearing is still the default icon.

Could someone give me some advice on how to fix this slightly annoying?

I appreciate all the time and attention, thank you.

I hate the software that supports your computer when you install and Windoze makes it easy to fix sometimes.

In any case, another place to try if you are running Vista or Win7 (not sure about earlier versions):

Click the icon to get the Start Menu and to the bottom of the right column, you should find "Default program" between the Panel and help & Support.  Click on the option 'associate a file or Protocol with a program type.

After loading, you should have a list of program extensions - scroll down until you get .wav (and anything else you want to Audition for default) click on it and click on change program button.  Select the hearing since the proposed shortcuts or by navigating - and I hope that it could do.
