Adobe has hijacked my Lightroom

First of all, let me say that I'm NOT a fan of Adobe. Sorry if that bothers you, but that's how it is.

As a user of long-time opening on my iMac, it became clear when Apple decides to not upgrade this app than anything more that I needed to find a different software for processing my photos in RAW. I spoke with many people and in the end, with great reluctance, I bought a hard copy (disk) of 5 Lightroom. Good that I had never really used that I even had an upgrade for it Adobe, it was made available (5.5 or something like that). I used my license and messed up her a little bit, but he put aside for a few months, when I knew that I would have a long period of time to really learn the software. In the meantime, I continued to use the opening.

In any case, for me, the first step in learning Lightroom was a Webinar from third parties a few months back which discusses using the new features in Lightroom 6 (this was before 6 being released) in conjunction with the photo of on1 software. Part of the requirement to access the webinar was to download Lightroom 5 CC, I did. My 30 day trial with Lightroom CC is long and now my period, I decided to learn Lightroom arrived. But when I open it, the software tells me that my access has expired and I need to renew my subscription. I don't want to use CC, I want to use the paper version I bought. I am afraid to delete Lightroom and then try to reinstall from my drive hard copy because I fear that Adobe will say that I had already used this license and no longer use it.

I would like to know how to get rid of the CC with Lightroom version and be able use the paper version, I had already downloaded it on my iMac. I think that Adobe has hijacked my paper and I threw money not buy their products. I want to just use it instead of going to another provider for treatment of photos.  Is it possible to do?

Joe:

Thanks a lot for your answer. I had actually solved the problem myself before receiving your response. I not unhooked the drive CC and it went on the web site of Adobe and reinstalled the 5.7.1 update. It worked. You're totally right how hard Adobe makes for their clients.

Once again, thanks for getting back to me.
