  I just begin as part of the Adobe Illustrator CS5 classroom in a book that tries to teach me how to use the program.  I'm still in the lesson 0 and got to the section "Use of the appearance Panel and effects."   Illustrator CS5 is not officially supported on Windows 10 and there are not too many people in this forum has been to get it to run, so you're basically on the search of your own stuff.

  There is always an effect applied to the tail. You must first expand appearance (in the menu object)

  All was well with CS5 and install Active programs, and all have been opened for the initial check.

  Adobe updater downloaded and requested updates post install routine. Everything downloaded 100%

  More updates succeeded, but Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, two others could not be updated.

  I've migrated recently MacBook Pro computers on iMac and all my programs transferred except Adobe Illustrator CS5 (which I have always used for printing and production). Configuration error, so I called Adobe and was intended to help the Creative Suite / CS5 download products I downloaded installers product and clicked on Adobe Illustrator CS5 icon to install (I was told I could use this product saved on the computers of limit 2) but when I tried to install this message appears (see below).

  'Install' cannot be opened because it comes from a developer that is unidentified. Your security preferences allowing installation of only the applications from the Mac App Store and identified the developers. 'Install' is on the image disk 'Illustrator_15_LS1.dmg '. Safari has downloaded this disk image today at 08:35 from trials2.adobe.com.

  
  

  You would anyone be able to diagnose this problem for me. Please provide an overview on how to install Photoshop CS5 on iMac and still have available for use on MacBook Pro (old laptop, but always used at my workplace). Thanks for everything suggestion and assistance in this regard.

  It is a security measure introduced in new versions of Mac OS. by default it leaves you only install the software on the app store. You must tell him to leave the facilities from other sources.

  The key is to obtain and record the serial number genuine under your your Adobe ID be able to do it is the ultimate proof of a successful purchase.

  It should be possible to find a new unused and so no CS5 Illustrator/Suite, without need of license transfer.

  An opportunity, there EXTREMISM to transfer license by the incumbent of the registration of serial number holder, as said Monika; There is another requirement, namely that the series/license number has not been used as the basis for an upgrade to CS6 (in which case it is locked to this series/license number and cannot be sold).

  Just in case you are still interested in a solution, found an easy way to do it. Reset the clock to October 1, 2011 and retry updates. Works like a charm

  I work under windows xp using Adobe Illustrator CS5, and the problem is that when I have a some objects in an illustration of the Group and save this picture as a file * .ai, then send it to a customer who uses the MAC, the groups are getting involved. The customer has even sent me a screen captures, and the groups are REALLY involved.

  Some items that I initially gathered are not in the same group any more, some objects of a certain group who somehow became part of another group.

  I build my images on a single layer with multiple sublayers.

  Can the building illustrations with every single group on a separate layer to fix this? Am I missing something? This is the first time I encounter this kind of problem. Help, please.

  I remember never to happen, but it sounds like corruption to me. But I don't know if it is on your end or your customers.

  I use a mac and am will open your file and send you screenshots so that you can compare, if I open it fine then the problem is probably with your customer?

  But they might not like this.

  You can also try to send a pdf or a .ps file they can open the file directly .ps AI without distillation it.

When I fly over the individual boxes/tiles/rectangles in the swatches Panel with the mouse, I get titles like 'Jagur' or 'Tiger' telling me the name of the models.
  2. Which is the case when I load the file using the "open Swatch Library" > "Other Library" and find the file and open it. Works perfectly. I can apply the patterns of all forms and it works like a charm.

  Then simply create the templates yourself. Drag the objects to the Swatches palette (see the manual for more details). Some people might not tile correctly.
