Adobe is not compatible with Chrome - is there a solution?

Hello

I hope someone can help me...

We have an interactive form created using LiveCycle Designer for users to complete and then send us. Users encounter problems when you try to open it in Google Chrome, it comes up with this message;

Please wait...

If this message is not subsequently replaced by the good content of the document, your PDF file

Viewer is not able to display this type of document.

You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Linux® or Mac by

I did a lot of reading and learned about the changes of Google Chrome did to disable support for NPAPI plugin (http://blog.chromium.org/2014/11/the-final-countdown-for-npapi.html) that means Chrome and Acrobat are no liked compatible (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html)

I discovered (after a lot of reading) how to use the substitution function so that I can open the screen on my computer, but I think that this substitution will be removed in September 2015, and I want a solution so that users can open (without having to substitute or use another browser). Chrome is a popular browser, we want our users to be able to open it in Chrome and other browsers. The problems reflect poorly on us, as many users are not aware of the changes Chrome made and guess it's a problem specific to our form.

So what I want to know is;

(a) are there any changes we can make to our form so that it will be compatible with Chrome?

(b) is Adobe working on updates so that it is compatible with Google Chrome changes have done, and if so when it came out our current form will start working again in Google Chrome, or will we have to redevelop it in the new version of LiveCycle Designer?

(c) is a person who knows of another program (Adobe or other) who can create interactive forms, which would be compatible with Chrome?

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

(a) No.

(b) adobe have said nothing. My money isn't on it.

(c) while you can use regular acroforms instead of XFA forms I have to advise against trying to make PDF forms to be used with any viewer not Adobe. Instead, you need to point people in the direction of downloading and using Adobe Reader. Or abandon in favour of HTML PDF forms: review the XFA forms do not work on any mobile device.

This last suggestion may be the way to go. Adobe push a solution (as part of the suite LiveCycle) to convert XFA forms in HTML Forms. I see PDF forms have peaked with the exception of very controlled applications. Killed by the success of PDF (and the lack of will of the manufacturers of third-party PDF software to fill out the forms correctly: it's much worse than you imagine).

    Hello

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

  • The Australia Adobe Apps not compatible with UK / US Apps?

I moved to the United Kingdom, in Australia, but at some point will move back to the United Kingdom.  I went to sign up with Adobe in Australia and because my account was originally introduced to the United Kingdom he returned me on the UK site.

If I pay to Adobe in GBP it will cost me AUD 154 instead of 89 AUD to buy directly from Adobe's Store in Australia.

You cannot update the country in which you live online and need to call the call center I did.  They went for a long time and was told that the Australian Adobe applications are not compatible with UK / US apps like they use Australian English and so I should create another Adobe account.

    (A) all just because I am based in Australia, why should I be forced to use Australian English and why are the language settings controllable by the user, not based on where you live currently?

    (B) Australian English Pourquoi means the app that I download here is not compatible?

    (C) if I created a new account Adobe all my iCloud data won't be not accessible when I move back to the United Kingdom and use my other account.

Anyone can shed some light on this?  Do I really need to create a new account or should I say the change in my country in the system?

Thank you in advance for your help!

The country of your payment address, the country on your Adobe account and the store you purchase of should be the same.

For tax reasons, it is not possible to change the country associated with an existing Adobe ID, but if you need to change your country, what you can do is to create a new Adobe ID to the e-mail associated with your existing Adobe ID please see this link for more details: change the country associated with your Adobe ID

  • Fable the Lost Chapters for XP is not compatible with Win7 - is there a way to fix it?

I just bought the XP game edition and expects a lot of fun on my new 17 in. Inspiron R with all the trimmings, only to be told that the FtLC for XP is not compatible with Win7.

The problem is that the graphics are like seeing double, literally two principals semi-molten you close them; they never completely merge, and most things, except the bottom, are very blurry.  I already have bad eyesight; I want a clean game.

I have tried to adjust the game to play in the uncluttered window, but it remains only purified until the credits have finished the race.  Then, the game returns to the full screen, wide and I think it's the wide screen that is the cause of the problem; the credits are great!

At Ms. really bring out a game duded up before Fable 4 only to have it be unplayable on pc with the newest Windows operating system?  Or is it possible to work things so the game is playable in fact and you can use a bow without guessing where is the target?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

By chance, I reinstalled the game (that I hadn't played for a long time) on Windows 7 x 64 a few weeks ago. Guess what? It works without too much fiddling.

Maybe it's that you will get a screen that says "incompatibilities with this version of Windows" every time you start (just click it away), and most likely, you will encounter an inactive 'fable.exe' process that must be completed before starting the game a second time (happens only once per Windows session). The second start focus also slowed down as the first, but after a while, the game will go up.

Things to do during the installation: run 'setup' as an administrator (do not use the 'autorun' option) with the following compatibility setttings 'XP SP3', 'disable visual themes', "Disable desktop layout" (this avoids some flickering). Start the game with the same settings. If you are given a choice of setting up your video card (the game is not identify him because it uses a completely outdated XML list of video cards caves), select "primary, no LNP. Resolution of 1024 x 768 x 32 is fine.

Note that the game dimensionnera full screen, even if your screen size is larger than 1024 x 768, but it will keep the old 4:3 picture format, you will have black borders on both sides of the screen.

  • Latest version of Adobe Flash Player is not compatible with our android tablet - can I install an earlier version of AFP that works?

    Hello...

    .. .and please read this:

We have a Nextbook Premium8 tablet that is the two-year sentence. We had to reset to factory settings and in doing so lost our Adobe Flash payer application. Trying to re - install AFP, we received a message that our wan tablet is not compatible with the latest version of the AFP.

Is there an earlier version, archived AFP who will work with our tablet, and if so, what version - Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81) September 10, 2013, perhaps??

It seems almost unbelievable that our tablet should be this obsolete for use with Adobe Flash Player after a period as short as two years.

    Thank you once again,

    Robert Lucas

It's not you, it's us.  We no longer Flash Player for Android.

The last working version released for Android is missing a year and a half updates security at this point, so I would strongly recommend against running to it.

The details on why Adobe dropped support for Android are here, but yes, we have not published an Android Flash Player since the end of 2012.

There are some alternatives that you can use to get Flash on your phone.  They are for the most of the web browsers based on a cloud, where they run the Flash in the cloud and the flow of content to your phone.  It works surprisingly well.

A quick Google search for "Android browser Flash Player" turns to the top of these options:
