Adobe on licenses.

As I discovered after having contacted with Adobe the only way to transfer a license from windows to mac is to buy a new version of the product.

I would like to ask for an explanation behind this policy, based on the meaning of read.

I feel that Adobe does not respect the customers who paid 2,700 euros for a product (Suite CS5 Production). I just changed my platform and I have to pay 1000 euros extra to do my job legally.

Is there anyone who feels it makes sense?

I think that whenever a serious competitor appears Adobe will start to meet more clients, but it will be too late.

I would also like to raise the issue of setting high prices for European customers. For example, the cloud service pricing...

Really disappointed,

Antoine

Hi Anthony, it is true that Adobe doesn't sell or keep older versions of the software, so if you want to "crossgrade" between the operating systems in native mode, then you can up to the latest version of the Creative Suite...

Another option would be to seek by running programs PC on your Mac via virtualization or dual-boot software, but that would require more work and expense.

Finally, on the fixing of prices, don't forget to consider taxes.  The US price is not quoted, including taxes, while European prices are generally (significant VAT).

Same apples to apples, there is always a difference in prices between different countries of course and Adobe has responded why this is.

I hope this helps.
