Adobe reader 10 and 11 crashes after 3 to 5 sec.
Adobe reader 10 and 11 crashes after 3-5 seconds it more recent gets fully open, it just closes. the problem is all my PDFs on my computer. and they work fine on my other labtop. tried to repair, remove, install several times
You can try this one: go to Adobe of C:\Program 11.0\Reader (if you XI player installed), or C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader (XI Reader on 64-bit Windows), double-click Eula.exe, then accept the license agreement.
Which solves the problem?

Adobe reader 11 and dc crashes after trying to connect to use pdf export.
I have adobe installed CD player and after signing to do the export adobe pdf, it crashed. CD player would crash whenever I tried to run after that. Uninstalling and reinstalling drive dc fixed the crash until I went to reconnect to use pdf export. So, I removed the CD player and installed reader 11. Drive 11 blocks the moment I click on connect. Anyone has any suggestions I can try to solve this problem?
Hi maryl1671466,
Export PDF service is not compatible with Reader 11 so there is no interest in trying it.
Uninstall any previous installer using this link Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool, reboot your system & reinstall CD player using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution, Sign In using your adobe ID to use the service to export it in PDF format.
Otherwise, you can also use the export to PDF Online https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf
Let me know how it goes.

After I open a document using Adobe reader DC and want to save it with the help of Save as when I try to open this operation all I get is an empty windo saying save as. This problem just started, note I'm on Windows 7 Prof
Hi sgodwin2468,
Make sure that Acrobat Reader DC is updated Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader.
If the problem persists, try the solution below.
The default "save under" Acrobat/Reader DC dialog box is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat/Reader, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat/Reader tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

Large pdf (over 1000 pages) generated files form SSRS crashes when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "Optimized for fast web view" activated. This saves fine with disabling this option. However, our customers are not ready to accept this solution because they do not want to change any settings. Please suggest if we should create a ticket with microsoft for SSRS allow the generation of pdf quick display of Web pages or is it an option in Adobe to fix this problem without changing the settings.
The SSRS file has Fast Web View: 'No' and that's how Microsoft SSRS generates these files.
Thank you for the complete maxwyss response
As you have indicated, the PDF SSRS seems to have some elements that are quite similar to be supported for fast web view.
We asked customers to disable the fast web view, but the customer is big enough to make a change individually on their machines and so were looking for a solution.
I saw in several forums and a few discussions here as well as disable the fast web view option works for pdf fails.
Which was just wondering if its known that multiple PDFs genarted by third parties may have problems with the optimization, the Save as optimized for fast web view could be disabled by default installation of acrobat reader rather than be enabled by default
Thanks again for the reply!

I tried to repair windows with the XP cd, but my HARD drive freeze. Well I ended up getting a new HARD drive and I full format before installing windows xp. XP installed fine and I then progressed in the installation of all the drivers that came with my computer, when it was new, which was about 15 CD. Well now, I have more problems. my screen is HUGE and I am unable to change the screen meanless and IE crashes after opening. until I reinstalled windows, I took my wireless card and reinstalled after installing windows. It shows that I have a good internet connection, but it still crashes. can anyone help. my XP cd has SP2 on it.
You want to get your computer up to date. You can get SP3 from here and there are more than 100 + updates after the SP.

I had the previous version of the Adobe Reader software, and I put in the comments of the editor. As reove, replace text, etc. And now with the new version of Adobe reader, they seem to have disappeared all of them, except perhaps the reminder.
Hi Mariam,
Please try this:-with your PDF document open, click on the "comment section" on the side right of your document, under "list of comments", click the "Filter comments" icon and choose "View all comments" or "hide all comments.
I would like to know if it works.

I've just upgraded to Adobe reader DC and now I can't save PDFs. really really frustrated. Says that it cannot connect to a DDE server.
In previous versions of reader, a small change in the Windows registry fixed this problem. I don't know if this still works for CD player, but it is interesting to try: download, unzip, then run the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/aa605eb3-5973-4cab-85d0-dea22fb92680
It will make the following change to the registry:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application]
@="AcroViewR10"

I just installed CC Adobe Premiere Pro and it crashes all the time!
I just installed CC Adobe Premiere Pro and it crashes. I tried to create a new project, open an existing project - nothing works. I can start a new project and get as much as import clips in the project window, but at the time wherever I try to play a clip or create a sequence from it, it crashes. I'm running off a new laptop (3rd generation Lenovo X 1 carbon) 8 GB of Ram, processor i5, best of everything I could get on this specific machine. Any thoughts?
The files that I open a new project are a gopro camera MP4 files. The existing project was a CS5.5 file he tried to update to CC - in fact, he finds all the files fine and as soon as he arrives to the workspace with everything laid out, it crashes. Let me know if I can provide more information.
I contacted Adobe support and they helped to solve the problem!
Apparently projects are set to use the Mercury playback engine by default if you need to disable this feature.
Go to file > project settings > General.
In the general tab change the video rendering and playback of 'accélération GPU (Open CL)' to ' Software Only '.
This fixed the problem for me, even if I don't have to review a project widely.
I hope this helps!

I have Adobe Reader XI and I tried to open a download of documents and a box pops up saying that it was only a protected password document Ant asked a password. Were and how do I get one?
Hi noswam123,
If a PDF file is password protected, the only way to open this document is the password. You must obtain this password from the person who created the PDF file.

I deleted Adobe Reader 11 and rebooted and reinstalled Adobe Reader 11 and I still get the error message "Adobe Reader is blocked because it is outdated". Using Windows XP with the latest updates (SP3).
Screenshots attached to e-mail responses will not come back on the forum. You must connect to the forum and post in your topic using the camera icon in the editor.
Google Chrome is a problem:
- If you use the clean Chrome PDF Viewer, the results are unpredictable.
- If you use the Adobe Reader with Chrome plugin, it can reject (block) If this isn't the latest version. 11.0.08 drive is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome can insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; Use a different browser!
