  If I have problems when you request a catalog from a VCO workflow built-in VCAC article.  I use the workflow VCO "Linked Clone, with a single NETWORK card and Windows credentials" located in VCO under vCenter > > Clone > > Clone bound > > customization of Windows.  I can go through the workflow very well in VCO, but I want to make it available via vCAC.  When I try to download a virtual machine using workflow, the application process fails using the form in the time zone of the form section.  There seems to be a problem with vCAC questioning vCO for doing the research for the appropriate time zone setting.  The application works very well since within vCO, but not inside vCAC.  Thoughts?

  I ended up using a vCenter customization specification to achieve this.  It turns out that the specification is as a safety net that will configure everything that is defined in the specification, unless there is a custom property configured on the action plan for this setting.  If this is the case, the custom property takes precedence.

  Long story short, I took a standard blue print and re-created in advanced services, creating an action for all XML and I have great things from a point of view VCO to work so I add the demand for an article in catalog as a service advanced and what I'm really looking for is how to get the value of the person who is logged on and requested this service to use as the owner.  I would really like to have pre-fill as well as being able to be able to get some more but if big I have not been successful in trying to change the value in the owner field to use external actions for the current user, but I found when requests are made they are made from the service accounts and others.

  So what am I missing or need to pull the vCAC current connected user for the owner field in the form designer?  Inquiring minds need to know

  One thing to be sure to keep in mind is that, if you use a shared account to connect with COFFEE, this account must be a user of support for the Group of companies (I think) to correctly the provision as specified... owner but don't quote me on that.

• vCAC 6.0.1 - Advanced Service request form

  I want to create an advanced service call to a workflow of vCO. Quite simple, it works fine.

  However, I now want to add validation for forms of master plan before you press 'submit '. This falls into two areas...

  1. There are a number of Boolean form fields, I need to make sure that they are 'checked' before that form can be sent (the user agrees to certain conditions, etc.)

  Now, the constraints of form field only seem to be able to do the mandatory (and fields that apply to Boolean values in any case), not to be able to search a required value ('yes' in this case).

  I can obviously check as a part of the workflow, but it must then be failed and the user reintroduce again demand.

  2. I have another field I want to do research in a SQL database, I think I want to use a powershell script to achieve this goal, but if I do the entity search field type Powershell:xx there is no obvious way to specify what you want to call? The help files are not much help either. Or can I create a custom resource, a link to the comic with a query custom? Pointers please?

• Want to access a SOAP service and display the data in the external list

  I could see a WCF Service via the type of external content successfully. Now I want to access a SOAP Service and display the data in an external list in Sharepoint 2010. I am able to create a data source with success with the SOAP service, but how to display the data in the external list as external list uses only as data sources for external content types.

  Also with WCF as external content type, it is only on WCF services or any kind of web services can be added as an external content type.

  Any help would be appreciated.

• Cannot save the settings in "text Services and input languages".

  I have "English (US)" installed and set as default and "Japanese (Japan), keyboard (MS IME)" and "Chinese (Simplified) - Microsoft Pinyin IME" installed under my keyboard services.

  Under "Text Services and input languages" on the tab "Advanced key settings", I have a 2 key enabled parameters. "Between the input languages" left alt + Shift and 'Chinese (Simplified) IME - Ime/NonIme turn' set to Ctrl + space

  I can't remove it. I apply every time, it just sets back to Ctrl + SPACEBAR again. I do not have this shortcut, but I don't want to uninstall my Chinese typing function.

  This seems to be a problem that affects many users, but still not fixed after years. Do you have any solutions?

  I found a registry tweak on a Chinese website. Basically:

  under HKEY_CURRENT_USER Control Panel input method hot keys 0000010 keys control,

  02c 00000, Ctrl-space,

  I changed it to 06C 00000, which means Ctrl - Shift - space.

  I don't know if the other numbers mean other combinations or how to find out. But it suits it. (requires restart).

  I have a few questions about the addition of personalized services and their use in QoS for RV routers (I use the RV220W)

  Port: TCP 60000

  1 this port number is the port number used by my computer on the local network or the port number on the other side for example a computer on the Internet, I use this service to connect to? Some services use the same port number on the side that starts the service and the receiving end, but there are services that use different ports for the end of the initiator and receiver. So what is the significance of the port number when creating a custom service?

• Update my OS Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 restore my missing file of the Windows Installer Service (and perhaps my RPC end point mapper file)?

  Iolo System Mechanic deep cleaning has totally deleted my Windows Installer Service folder (and perhaps my RPC end point mapper file) on my Vista Home Premium PC. I looked into MSCONFIG and they are gone!  It has been too long to do a system restore or other functions of the round trip. Q: if I buy the Windows 7 upgrade, it also installs?  It will make Windows Installer service (and RPC end point Mapper) reappear?  If not, how to get support from Microsoft?  I already tried all 4 methods in article ID 2642495 re: find the Windows Installer service.  I have now 10 MS Important that cannot install updates because missing the file of the Windows Installer service.  Personal support of Iolo System Mechanic were NO help.  Thanks in advance.

• VCAC Advanced Service Designer doesnto fill all users of AD - creating a custom catalog article.

  I am unable to find all users created in the ad in the advanced Service VCAC6.0.1 Designer. I checked the endpoint settings and changed the Grp and the DN of the user to the root search. It's kind of stop my work for a while now. Your help would help to clear the obstacle.

• WaveMaker 6.5 and vCO 5.1 - default self signed CERT

  This is a little off topic, but I'm curious to know if anyone out there connected WaveMaker 6.5.x (web service) to vCO 5.1 (SOAP or REST) when the vCO is configured using the default self-signed certificates SSL (vanilla vCO 5.1 device).

  I get the following error even after the importation of the "localhost.localdom" of vCO cert in my Java keystore/restart WaveMaker:

  javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: building way PKIX failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: could not find the path of valid certification for target asked

  Looks like real certs should work or if you have them signed by your own CA, but this isn't the case with the application out-of-the-box vCO.

  I think that the host name of the certificate must match the host name you are trying to reach.

  The default certificate localhost.localdom works so that, if you try to connect to vCO with localhost.localdom (it might be useful a quick shot, edit the file hosts on your system wavemaker :-))

  To change the certificate on vCO to match the real hostname of the box of vCO, see here:

  After chaning and removing the old and import a new keystore wavemaker it should work... Let us know! :-)

  I installed the EPM V11.1.2.2 system in the single server environment (MS 2008 Server R2) with the following components:
  * Foundation Services
  * HFM
  * FDM
  
  Have used embedded Weblogic server as a web application server and Oracle HTTP server as a web server. The installation was successful.
  During configuration.
  (1) I selected the option to deploy applications web SSP and workspace to a single managed server. Applications deployed successfully at EPMServer0.
  (2) in addition, I have selected to configure Oracle HTTP server as a web server.
  These two steps were successful.
  
  But shared services and the workspace URL do not work. We get a 404 error.

  Workspace: http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000 / workspace /.
  
  When I checked the EPMServer0, Weblogic administration console is in SHUTDOWN State, tried to start it but it goes by State ADMIN instead of RACING.
  Checked the newspaper EPMServer0 to 'D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs' and found the error at the end of this message.

  Yes John, the problem was with the deployment, but was not able to understand what goes wrong with the deployment.

  Tried to uninstall clean twice with the deletion of registry. Last updated variable of path by removing all entries related to Hyperion during the uninstall.

  Installation and configuration was successful after that. In addition, I did not compact deployment this time and used separate web servers to the deployment.

  Finally, Shared Services and the workspace URL work correctly.

  Do not dial a number. Try to choose a contact in the contacts App and tapping on telephone button.

  That said, I don't think that outgoing calls work on continuity since another iPhone. given that the iphone is designed to make calls through its own service.

  Document to support that you just did not mention calls from a secondary iPhone at all, it points to Mac, iPad and iPod touch, which leads me to believe that it won't work.

  It runs from devices such as iPads and Macs, who have no other way to place a cell call.
