  In the world of individual license an upgrade from versions CS4 CS5 would get a new number again, at least in my experience.   What is the exact model number and manufacturer of the video card? Have you checked for drivers updated on their website?

  I want to create and package a Panel for both photoshop CS5 and CS4 - it is my understanding that I create the Panel in Configurator 1.0, then have the packages generated separately, once in the Configurator 1.0 (for CS4), then exported and packaged in Configurator 2.0 (for CS5)...

  This is the procedure that I followed for a panel that contains a JPG image and 2 hypertext links set up as a script - a bit weird, but it works very well in CS5 in 64-bit Windows 7 environment (the same machine, I created and packaged on), but will work not in PS CS4 on the same windows machine , or on a PPC Mac runnning PS CS4 - all I get is a black rattrapante screen momentary, then the Panel is 'empty' (return to default gray color)...

  BTW, I did not have the chance to check it out on Mac/Photoshop CS5-

  Any ideas on what is happening here?  Any idea would be appreciated... I'm quite inexperienced with Configurator/panels, etc, just dig in, please excuse my ignorance in advance...

  The procedure seems ok

  After creating the Panel for cs4 Configurator 1 you must package the choice of package it with xmp extension (only the xmp extension) CS4 extension manager or with the managerCS5 extension.

  To create the Panel for Ps CS5, you can create it in configurator 2 as a new Panel or import one you created in the Configurator 1 (like you), exporting again for PS CS5 and conditioning then it with Extension Manager CS5 choosing extension ZXP

  Make sure that you export the Panel for CS4 running Configurator 1 in administrator mode and try to wrap it with the CS4 extension manager.

  If all the above is ok then the issue of blank plate is to find elsewhere.

  are your default Panel in cs4 ps ok?

  Have you tried to create a different sign (to see if it has the same problem)?

  If you must check your Panel on system OSX and you have no other way to test it feel free to send me your panel for a trial

  It will not normally work sorry to say, because CS5 does not recognise CS4 lock files. At least this is what I found in my limited testing.

  InCopy CS4 can open assignments (ICMA files) created by InDesign CS5. That's the good news - he cannot open CS5 layout (INDD) files, so if you were using a workflow based on the page layout, which does not at all.

  But when the InCopy user checks a story assignment, created the locking file (the one that prevents other users to check and modify the same story) is "CS4 - era", and ignores CS5 ID/IC. So if the InDesign user available open while the InCopy user, changes the InDesign CS5 user won't know, because they cannot see the status icon 'pencil with a bar' slant on the stories the IC user extracted. Just the available icon (globe).

  Prejudice CS5 benchmark with PPBM4 beta is now available!  WOW!  And all this improvement without CUDA graphics card so when we see the Mercury playback engine additional improvement is sure to appear.  Adobe must have hired a great team/expert multithreading.  Congratulations Adobe.  It must have hurt the performance of disk slightly, but that is a small trifle.  He has reduced his time coding MPEG under CS4 24.6 seconds to 6.4 seconds in CS5, near 200% faster!

  I just got this computer, it came with XP installed but Win7 Pro OA... I installed Win7 immediately. The CS XML 4 SP2 update/security updates do not have continually. Is this related as sharing the same code HRESULT? Moreover, trial version of Office 2007 have installed now. Cannot update with Office 2007 Service Pack 2.

  Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

• 2nd monitor problems with Photoshop CS4 and CC

  I'm on a quest to solve a problem with my second monitor when using Photoshop. When I hit F in photoshop to switch between display modes or when I Zoom in or out this happens:

  

  OK, well it is turned on its side, but you get the point. Until very recently, I used OS x 10.6.8 with Photoshop CS4 with no problems but ran into some problems with applications etc so I upgraded to Yosemite. That's when the problem started. In order to solve what I did a clean install of Mavericks in the hope that Yosemite was too new and that he had not brought bugs. Then I reinstalled CS4 there more this problem, but another problem just as boring. the profile for the 2nd monitor appears so desaturated and terrible that I can't use it to edit, despite several attempts to recalibrate.

  Apple is aware of these driver problems and work on solutions.

  Turning off the use of Photoshop GPU can help.

  But if you need the GPU features, you can return to a stable version of MacOS.

  I have successfully downloaded a Photoshop CS5 trial, but when trying to install the progress bar stops at 0% and I get a message that reads "Please insert photoshop cs5 disk to continue. Obviously I don't have the disk, because it is a downloadable trial. When I cancel the installation, I get a long list of error codes that starts like this:

  I stumbled on one or two other people who have this problem, but especially windows machines, so I failed to find an answer to this problem.  a few explanations I've found are too technical for me to understand, I'm not a computer genius. One thing I noticed is that sharing options and permissions in the menu 'get info' install folder are grayed out and cannot be changed. By clicking on the padlock does not allow me to make changes as usual. Access to my user (admin) privileges are read, write, and read only for 'personal' and 'everyone '. Don't know if it's something to do with it, but I read another case where changing these settings solves the problem. I have tried to re - download the trial and move to new, but that has not worked.

  I think that this happens if there is more than a mounted Installer. Have you tried to restart your entire system, reassembly of the installer, and then try to reinstall?

  If you plan to keep this customer, I strongly suggest that do the same you and upgrade to CS5.

  That said, the customer can save back by exporting to IDML. But be warned. All new features will be lost or badly distorted and text will be redistributed.

  Calculate the cost of the upgrade vs. the cost of loss of the customer.

  The albums predefined in the Photos on a Mac are sorted differently, in order to have different ways to access your photos.

  • The sight of Photos with Moments and Collections is sorted by the date of Capture.
  • The album 'All the Photos' is sorted by the date that you imported photos, not dates, that the photos were taken.

  Albums that you set yourself can be sorted by title or date of capture. So you can set your own album "my photo all ' as a smart album (file > new Smart Album) by using a rule 'Date's after... ', for example:
