Hello

1. what update has the problem from occurring?

Updated version has a problem in the history of the update.

a. open Windows Update by clicking on the button start. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
(b) in the left pane, click view update history.
c. to display more information about an update, double-click it.

Do System Restore to the point that your computer worked very well and install updates manually ensuring that do not install the problem causing the update unless it says 'important update '.

There are several versions of the developers have decided to not auto show all toolbars. The 'Menu Bar' has become a victim of this. She has been replaced by a Menu icon, which became widely used on many sites. Unfortunately, this is not very satisfactory because some tools need the Bar Menu is visible. In addition, the menu bar does not always use the same jargon or same road like toolbars, which had added to a lot of confusion as usually refers to the toolbars.

This, in my opinion, was very naive on their part and a failure to understand the concept of intuitive software, which is immediately usable by all users regardless of their level of techyness of the computer.

So you see the correct view. Fortunately, Thunderbird you can change this.

    Suggest you do the following:
You should see the "Mail Toolbar' showing 'Get of Messages', 'Write', 'Address book' etc.
On this "Mail Toolbar", you should see an icon that looks like 3 horizontal lines. It's the "Menu icon.
    Click on the Menu icon
Hover over the 'Options' and you will then see another list.
Select 'Menu Bar', and also turn on no matter what other toolbars unchecked.
See the image below - note that I moved my Menu icon to the left, as it seemed better placed.

  • After Windows Update: Start, taskbar, toolbar, tools, etc., have disappeared. Disabled Task Manager, programs don't run, etc, etc.

My multi-monitor desktop Win XP through a long Windows update yesterday. Starting this morning, button bar and try to start at the bottom of the screen are no longer present. My table of multi-monitor configuration has changed radically in view/settings. All the tabs on the Task Manager are missing - with the exception of the processes tab. All keyboard and mouse commands have been disabled. To restart, I had to unplug the computer from power. Restart twice again obtained the same results. As there was no apparent way to start programs and features in Windows (Control Panel, Windows Explorer, Manager tasks, etc.) I resorted to a Safe Mode system restore after snatching the lead for the third time.

It seems that a system restore is the only cure for this, and I started this operation. Updates of various sellers require me to use to restore the system several times each month.  I learned to fear the automatic updates for fear that they will cost hours and days of recovery since the "cure" for other ailments that are not obvious to me. The last update all deleted antivirus controls volume and their icons. I have still not got their back. But I digress...
    My questions:
    What I've done wrong?
    Should I disable updates?
How can I make sure that the updates stop disabling my computer?
What are your recommendations to repair the damage?
    Thank you.

    Hi Craig,.

Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I would say you turn off the automatic updates (not recommended however) and install the updates manually ensuring that you will refrain from any installation problem causing updates unless it says "important updates.

    a. log in Windows XP to your administrator account. Click 'Start', then right-click "My computer" and select "Properties".
    b. Select the "Automatic updates" tab and then click on "Turn off automatic updates."
    c. click 'OK' to turn off the automatic updates.

    Step 2:

You can also test the issue in a State of clean boot in safe mode (after installing updates).

Note: Don't forget to restart your computer as usual.

You can use menus on the right-click event on forms of data for the same thing, as far as I know he has no direct way to add more options next to the queue, Edit etc.

    Hello Bill.

To restore the provision of your interface, go in view > toolbars > customize... > Restore Default Set.

If you don't see the menu bar, press ALT or F10 from your keyboard to make it temporarily visible. If you want it to be visible at all times, go in view > toolbars > Menu bar, or right click on the Navigation bar (for example, the Reload button), and then select menu bar.

If this does not help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select Customize... and click on restore by default. If it does not immediately appear, try pressing ALT or F10. You can enter in view > toolbars > Menu bar to make it visible at all times, or with the right button of the Navigation toolbar and select menu bar.

If none of this helps, you may have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Try to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See basic troubleshooting: a new profile

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins»

If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the "menu bar" by "view > toolbars" or through the context menu on a toolbar.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.

Go on "view > toolbars" or right-click the 'menu bar', or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to switch from the State).

Browser tends to refer to a web browser. And Reader and Acrobat web browser plugins.

Adobe has the free software Adobe Reader and the reader is the key word! It's a reader only application.

Adobe markets Adobe Acrobat program to keep PDF files and to provide PDF creation tools. The Adobe Acrobat product includes 2 programs, Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer, which allows you to create PDF Forms. These 2 applications to create PDF forms, but they use different scripting languages, syntax, and user interfaces. Also the edit form is not redeemable between 2 products. Other forms created with LiveCycle Designer will work with Acrobat/Reader but only if the Acrobat/Reader version is greater than or equal to 5.01. It is well known that many users use older versions and no support for the Acrobat/Reader software.

You can enable the JavaScript console in Reader to display messages error and subject to changes in the player application, you can run the Acrobat JavaScript code interactively via the JS console, but there are the properties, methods, and functions that cannot be executed with the Acrobat product .

LiveCycle Designer is also another Adobe inDesign product that can be used to create forms and create forms and export to PDF. A lot of unclear posters refer to this product as a "Designer" and others refer to LiveCycle Desinger as 'Designer'. There is an even greater confusion on Java and JavaScript in these forums.

Your screenshots are not come across.

There are many products that can export to a PDF file, but that does not make it a tool of choice for creating files PDF and PDF forms or they provide all the tools to fix, change or create PDF and PDF files forms.

If you are using LiveCycle Designer, you should post in the LiveCycle Designer forums. This forum is for Acrobat JavaScirpt within a form developed with Adobe Acrobat.

To debug LiveCycle Desinger forms completely you should use Acrobat for debugging.

Have you read about the replies to this post?

One of the speakers providing instructions on debugging in LiveCycle name indicates:

    'Open Acrobat Professional '.

Acrobat Professional is not Adobe Reader.
