  If I understand correctly, the window open off-screen.

  Right-click on the tab of the window in the task bar and select move. Now, use the arrow keys to get to the screen. Close all other windows except this one and use the cursor to drag the message to the desired size. File | Output and Windows will remember the size and location when you open it again.

So look like an easy option, I agreed. It seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed), but now it seems that I need to format the hard drive. • Text in the text captions in the process of disappearing in Captivate 6

  Hi, we have a problem of corruption. We use Captivate 6.0.1.240. The text in the slide captions disappear when we open the file. And it is only the text itself, the text box is visible. When you look at the film, the text is there, and if we select a legend on the blade and move it, the text appears again. However, if we do this, save and close the file, the text will disappear from the slide again once the file open.

  These files as summer created in CS5, we later moved to CS5.5, then knit using 6. My colleague and I are working equally between 32 and 64 bit.

  If someone has had this problem before or someone knows a solution for this problem? This is getting very frustrating because all our files have been to corrupt as apparent that without reason. Thank you.

  I have a dell vostro 1000 laptop with windows Vista Basic program. I aggravating problems with scrolling, on each program Web site. I tried Control Panel for mouse problems and the keyboard and settings sometimes move for the reason so I can't set some options. Can someone please help me I've been struggling with this problem for over a year.

  (A.) it can happen that if drivers are not updated, you may update the drivers for keyboard and mouse on your machine, see steps to update the drivers:

  (i.) click Start > type in Device Manager in the start search > expand the keyboard and the mouse in Device Manager > right click on drivers > click Properties > click on the driver tab > click on update drivers > click OK.

  Now, restart the computer and check if the keyboard and mouse works fine without any problems.

  (B) if the problem persists, you may need to perform the analysis antivirus on the computer.

  I would like to more deeply understand the Instance recovery process then the Administration Guide of Oracle Docs can tell me.
  
  What I have so far of Instance recovery is:
  
  1 oracle determines which files are not synchronized.
  2. all data from redo log files is applied to restore log buffers by progression. Buffers do not participate on the database of normal transactions because they are marked to pick it up.
  All these data are applied to the data files (commited and contains transactions).
  This step is called roll forward.
  3 cancellation are used to restore transaction no. After this step the datafiles not aura no data contains on them. At this point, the instance is available for users, but the blocks used are not.
  4. all files are now in sync.
  
  My questions are:
  
  -Step 1, what process determines which files are not sync? Make the bed of Smon the controlfile and data file headers and then make a list which is not sync?
  
  -L' step 2, what is the process that reads the information in the redo log files and complete the recovery log buffer? What is the CKPT? And how he is warned that he might start to read the files after completing step 1? There is a semaphore that is defined for it?

  Well, I'll take a chance to respond.
  (1) SMON in the start-up phase, in the strict sense in the editing phase, compares the SNA stored in the control file with the data file headers. This sCN is called checkpoint SCN. It is always higher among the controlfile so its part of the same database and is not set up to an old backup. By this correspondence, Oralce comes to know that there are some report files with their SNA control point is only not with the controlfile and consequently, instance recovery is reported. Here is the list of files is prepared.
  (2) the same process SMON only would trigger playback of the redo log files and launch the Rollforward process. Roll forward is made from the last address bytes redo controlled at the end of the restore log forward. This means that the last block, blocks have not reported in the data file are simply read and are dumped on the data files. As a result, we get a situation that the data file will end up with a lot of data committed but also committed that redo is containing both.
  CKPT process will not come in the picture I think. Where did you read what CKPT would do all this?
  (3) SMON governs all this thing is to say the application of the data for the data files. No, in this phase, we are still in the phase of mounting that this recovery is called crash recovery. Oracle wouldn't let users to use the database at this point. Data is still not available for them.
  (4) do not bring semaphores here. They are already in use when you allocated the memory of your instnace. Its work process level. After the mount phase is completed, oracle would open up the db. So if you were using the EMP table data and the server crashed between, now the next time you start, if you try to access the same blocks once again, they are set aside on the basis of priority.
  The third one will rollback transaction intra. It's basically splitting the work among the slaves so that if a slave is sitting free, it can share the work and can move forward to make things more quickly restored.
  Please note that all this is happening at the open stage. This means then that this is the case, oracle is available for users. And second, there is little change in this process (an integer) 9i go. This is called two-pass recovery which has been made to make this process a little faster. In this regard, SMON ignores these blocks that are controlled by DBWR during execution of the phase of rollforward.

• Why the 31.4.0 worm installed w/o "file, editing, tools, etc." in the header

  I installed Thunderbird 31.4.0 on a computer with XP Professional SP2 and the regular buttons for file, edit, view, go, tools, & help is missing on the header. I downloaded again and reinstalled with the same results. Why are they missing?

  There are several versions of the developers have decided to not auto show all toolbars. The 'Menu Bar' has become a victim of this. She has been replaced by a Menu icon, which became widely used on many sites. Unfortunately, this is not very satisfactory because some tools need the Bar Menu is visible. In addition, the menu bar does not always use the same jargon or same road like toolbars, which had added to a lot of confusion as usually refers to the toolbars.

  This, in my opinion, was very naive on their part and a failure to understand the concept of intuitive software, which is immediately usable by all users regardless of their level of techyness of the computer.

  Suggest you do the following:
  You should see the "Mail Toolbar' showing 'Get of Messages', 'Write', 'Address book' etc.
  On this "Mail Toolbar", you should see an icon that looks like 3 horizontal lines. It's the "Menu icon.
  Click on the Menu icon
  Hover over the 'Options' and you will then see another list.
  Select 'Menu Bar', and also turn on no matter what other toolbars unchecked.

  You can use menus on the right-click event on forms of data for the same thing, as far as I know he has no direct way to add more options next to the queue, Edit etc.

• CHM files in the process of disappearing/Reappearing, part II

  I had this problem before and thought, with the help of Colum, I had thought about it. Seems I was wrong. Here is the original for reference thread:

  A week or two ago, I needed to change the name of my CHM for my main project files and subprojects. I opened each project and on the tab project manager, expanded the unique Layouts of Source folder. I right click on the Microsoft HTML Help (main layout) file and choose Properties. In HTML help in the field Options to select output folder and the file name, I change the name of the file from OLD.chm to NEW.chm for each of my projects.
  
  Yesterday and today, I've been making changes to the content in my projects. On the table of contents of the main project, I deleted the links to the topics merged and re-created, pointing to the latest versions of new CHM files subprojects (after compiling the CHM files for each subproject).
  
  Then I compiled the CHM for the main project and checked the! SSL! folder. My new CHM files, but are not only * old * CHM files as well. I deleted the links of the master project TOC, recompiled (after manual removal of the CHM old files from the master!) SSL! folder and return the old CHMS.
  
  I know I must be missing something simple, but unfortunately, I can't understand what it is. Suggestion, if you please. Thank you.

  Did you do a search in the whole of the project to ensure that your old CHM file names are not referenced anywhere? They are in the baggage files? My guess is that you open your master project. High hydrostatic pressure in Notepad file, you will find that the former names of file in the [MERGE FILES] section at the bottom of the file. If definitlely you do not all other references to them you can delete them manually from the. HHP file and try to compile it again. Warnings usual to take backups, sacrificing goats, etc. should highlight when you edit one of the files in the project outside of HR.

• First time using Windows 7, files in Windows XP, removable disc in the process of disappearance

  Please note my steps and problems in moving from the personal files of my old Windows XP system to my new Windows 7.
  (1) copy of Windows XP hard drvie files to the removable disk (g)
  2) confirmed all files copied to G:
  (3) connect G: in Windows 7 system
  (4) when I go to computer and select the drive, the top-level folder is empty
  (5) under 'Computer' I confirmed 'free space' on G: is less than 'total size' suggests that there are files on the disk
  (6) I reconnect G to the old XP system and note once again that the folder is empty.  IF this isn't just a parameter "display".  Looks like that Win 7 is deleted or archived the files somewhere.
  (7) with my first attempts, I noticed a dumped error log G complain of FAT32 files.  I tried to convert it to NTFS, but it made the unusable disk.  so I changed.
  Is this a possible virus problem?  Some would be with several previous attempts to copy all my files copy and some wouldn't.  I was suspicious of my old XP system so I installed and ran Microsoft Security Essentials.  A MSE scan reported no threats or viruses.  Kaspersky is running on my Win 7 system and similarly reported no problems.

  According to the description, it seems that you are facing problems with the USB that you get an error message that the disk is unusable after formatting using NTFS. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.

  (1) what is the brand and model of the removable disk?

  (2) you see the removable drive with the assigned drive letter in my computer?

  (3) what is the capacity of the removable disk?

  (4) have tried to check with another removable disk?

  (5) you have the backup of the files on the XP computer?

  Wouldn't be a physical damage of removable drive, but with the file system in the removable drive.

  Method 1: I suggest you to format the removable in my computer drive, if it is visible. If the format is not successful, I suggest you to format the removable drive using the command prompt.

  (a) click Start, type cmd, right click and select Run as Administrator.

  (b) type format X: (removable X :) drive letter.

  Method 2: If the problem persists, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the removable drive to get help.
