  The first thing I would try is updating your operating system. There are a number of bugs fixed in 10.10.4 dealing with AE.

• AE CC (2014) crashes on startup on PC newly renovated

  Hi all

  I recently reformatted my PC work and after I got it and I installed the Cloud Creative customer and immediately installed all of my adobe (PS, first and AE) products and their most recent versions.
  However, when I try to start either AE or Premiere, it crashes immediately, but only AE gives me an error:

  "After effects error: current Crash.". Last logged message was: 2356 >

  " < GPUManager > < 2 > Sniffer result Code: 3"

  So, I think to myself, there must be a problem with the driver and the GPU (Note: sequelae (not the version of 2014 if) has worked on the same hardware before the reformat), so I tried the two beta drivers and some versions under the current pilot recommended NVIDIA, but I had no luck, so I hope you guys can help me!

  Here are my computer specs:

  OS: Windows 7 64-bit Professional (all updates installed)

  CPU: Intel i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz

  GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 - driver version: 337.88

  RAM: 12 GB

  Try to run the 12 AE version and see if it works very well. (You should always be able to download and install from CC.)

  The standard location for your preset animations is user/Documents/Adobe/After Effects (version here) / User Presets/User Preset Library.

  

  I did my library of preset user an alias on my account dropbox so any presets that I create is instantly available on any machine I'm getting. I can even access my presets when I freelance work on another system by simply accessing the dropbox.

  So, I do create After Effects compositions really intensive (usually from 10 to 20 layers by composition) and to make use of almost all the effects, there (as the displacement of pixels, motion blur, etc.) for many of my compositions.  32GB has worked pretty well, but I recently had a problem where the computer recognizes only 8 GB of RAM; in view of this, I noticed the huge difference in performance after effects CC 2014 between 8 and 32 GB (8GB off multiprocessing, for example).  This makes me wonder... saw how intense my compositions are, 64 GB would create a noticeable difference?  I have the ability to be upgraded to 64 GB right now (optionally) for free by "scheming and business."  What types of performance gains I could expect from 32 GB to 64 GB DDR4 DDR4?

  The performance gain would be very important for After Effects. Go ahead!

  Premiere Pro (this forum) isn't really helped a lot when the RAM is updated past 32 GB, but After Effects uses RAM for previews and may even beg for more than 64 GB on systems either.

• Why K5200 Quadro card from Nvidia does not appear as a map taken in charge for after effects CC 2014? It is listed as supported for first Pro CC 2014.

  I am putting together the specs for a Dell workstation that I use to make Adobe CC work, including video with After Effects and Premiere Pro. My computer expert worries that the card Quadro K5200 I want to have the system is listed as supported for Premiere Pro CC 2014, but that it is not listed as supported for after effects CC 2014. Are there problems of compatibility with this card and EI?

  Development and release of the CC, they do not work with the rendering engine raytraced we did at all (except in the align each version for compatibility reasons), so no more cards have been (or is going to be) tested and added to the white list.

  So I initially had after effects CC 12.2 and decided to launch for the first time in a few months. When I tried to open it, but I was met with the following messages:

  After seeing this error, and restart the application several times, I tried install newest After Effects (CC 2014 13.2%) and execution, but instead, I get the same exact error messages.

  Every other time I tried to open After Effects before today, I have not encountered this problem, but I tried to install Adobe Media Encoder CC and opening this right beforehand, but I could also get to run due to another error that I will probably do a separate post.

  How to create a format custom pixels for after effects CC 2014. I need a footing of 3.3, because it would help me to solve a technical problem I've had with map projection.

  I tried modifying the Interpretation Rules.txt file, which was hidden in the Users\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\13.1 folder. To remove the last # so I can at least see I can put in place a custom footing.

  But he does not appear in the drop-down menu when creating a model, or the interpretation of the images.

  I also made the same changes to the Interpretation Rules.txt file in the folder 2014\Plug-ins\en_US\ first PRO CC.

  And I restarted my PC after changes just in case Media Core only has not been updated itself properly.

  I see the Custom BY an outside Media Encoder export option. But not what I need. I need to be able to fix a rendering that was equal to the 3.3 without losing the pixel information, somewhat like an anamorphic workflow.

  Evan, I was able to create a custom rule in the Interpretation Rules.txt file in the After Effects preferences file, and it worked as I expected. Here's what I added to the file:

  flexible rule #; create a false rule that generates 3.3

  *, *, 99, *, * ~ 33/10 / "myRule, *, *, *, *, *"

  After you make this change and launch of After Effects, "myRule 3.3" is available as an option in the settings menu of Composition, interpret the film and other places provided BY.

  (Note that this rule will result in theoretically any file 99 FPS should be interpreted in 3.3 NOMINAL.) Given that is not a scenario running, probably not a problem, but if you feel uncomfortable in this topic, you could also just set all the other input to a lack of effective operation parameters. You don't want to leave all input parameters * because all the imported files would then be interpreted as BY 3.3.)
