  Your problem is that the program wants a good video card and a fast hard disk and a lot of memory and have in what precedes. If you have upgraded the RAM to 8 GB memory and installed a disc hard solid state, you could do the program usable but the real bottleneck is going to be the Intel HD graphics, which cannot be upgraded.

  You don't have a slot open for add a 4 GB memory module. It is a simple upgrade relatively inexpensive. See here:

You might consider to go that route. It is not technically supported by Adobe, but it is unlikely that cause damage to try it. Just make sure you make a backup copy of all the files that you are changing.

  Add more RAM would be not bad either (it only would not help for this current problem, but 12 GB on the low end for the work of EI in general).

  Well, it was a problem of import, but not what we expected! I have five textures I use for planets. Yesterday, I converted my files and called the textures like 1.jpg, 2.jpg texture texture and so forth. Now when I try to import a texture, he tries to import each of them with a file, it called the texture .jpg (1-5). I had not noticed this before. So when I hit the play button, he tried to play at the same time. Weird! Anyway, rename the files with quite distinct names fixed! It now works correctly.

  Hello everyone. I left Cs3 and now have cs6 and I can't move the current-time indicator in after effect cs6. What I am doing wrong? For example. If I type a word in the model and then go down to the 'position' and create keyframes and try to move the current time indicator, it does not move.   Your model is LONG of TWO EXECUTIVES.  Make it longer and you can move the slider of the timeline.

• Receive no benefit of using GPU acceleration/CUDA in After Effects CS6

  I've recently updated the graphics card in my Mac Pro 3.1 for an EVGA Nvidia GTX 680 Mac Edition and have set up so that after effects CS6 recognizes it as a compatible card as in many places, I read that it should work fine. However, I don't seem to receive all the benefits of using, rendering time a little longer, if it is not longer than before and previews just like sluggish. I've updated the graphics card and CUDA, set the preview of Ray-tracing for GPU and all the comps are set to display with the ray-tracing, but I still get no no performance gain.

  I noticed that under the information GPU in the OpenGL Shader Model information is empty and greyed out. I don't know if this is related to the problem, but I'm not sure why this is. Information under CUDA seems to be OK. I have provided the following information:

  As Mylenium says, you seem to be waiting for something which is not the case. The 3D rendering engine traced to the RADIUS does not speed up the rendering of the classic compositions from After Effects. It is rather a rendering engine to make a very limited set of manipulations in 3D (extrusion of text and shapes) and flexion of the 2D layers. Even these things are not fast with the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. they are just faster with the GPU that they would be on the CPU.
