After filling out the forms to save read-only

Hello.

The designer I work with has created a PDF for me with editable fields.   I would edit correct modifiable with customer information fields, and then save the file read-only - or protected so that they cannot modify the fields.  Is this possible?

Hi sheriomernik,

Yes, you can implement some restriction of editing a file PDF using Acrobat application use security permissions to protect PDF files in Adobe Acrobat | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials.

Or you can simply ask the PDF Creator to add a signature field, once you fill & sign the PDF form it locks the PDF fields.

Kind regards

    Hi guys.

Hope this is an easy solution.

I want my forms to open without showing that "Please fill out this form" purple header.

Can it be coded around, say with something in the event docopen maybe?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Greg,.

I'm pretty sure that you can't hide the Document Message Bar by using script. The user can disable preferences in Acrobat/Reader when they open the form.

  • My organization wants to partner with Mozilla, I filled out the form of "Work with us" several times but no feedback

I filled out this form https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/partnerships/ several times and I never receive any comments. Is there a phone number I can use to get in touch with Mozilla on a potential partnership or email?

    Hi Kombuta,

Thanks for your post, I'm sorry that you don't have a response to the form that you filled for the partnership with us. Can you tell me when you have completed the form, by chance? This will help me to direct the proper person to your form.

Otherwise, you can also send me a private message to [email protected] with the information and I will pass along (I'm a Mozilla employee, customer management).

Thank you and my apologies for the late reply, I appreciate your patience and your interest in Firefox OS!

  • keyboard does not not when filling out the forms of web of wi - fi

    Hi all

I have a very strange problem and I hope someone can help me to solve it.

When I try to connect to a public wireless network (example: I'm currently staying in a hotel and connect to hotel WiFi in my room)-I have to fill out the mandatory wi - fi (username & password) to access the internet through the hotel wi-fi.

My 5s iphone detects the wi - fi network and once I chose the particular network hotel wi-fi to join in setings, automatic logon forms just asking me to enter username/password hotel provided.

When I try to enter the user name - my keyboard becomes TOTALLY INSENSIBLE! I can't fill my username information at all. The keyboard appears on screen - but nothing on the keyboard working!

When I move to the password field - all right. The keyboard starts responding and I am able to fill in the password. The keyboard becomes normal.

I've now faced this problem in 2 different hotels and a hospital - all these places gave me a name of user and password I need to fill in the login screen to use their wi - fi connection. I still have the same problem.

I'm having this problem on iOS 9.1 and 9.2 (my wife's phone and my phone). We both use iphone 5s.

    Can someone pls!

    Hi bigbalooka,

If the iPhone keyboard unresponsive or crashes

    • Make sure that you are running the latest iOS Version
      • Settings > general > software update
        • If you are up-to-date, you will see a message that says: "your software is up-to-date."

    If you're still having problems:

    • Force restart the iPhone:
      • Press and hold the sleep/wake button and the Home button for about 10 seconds, or until the Apple logo appears.

If you still have problems (again):

    • Reset all the settings on your iPhone
      • Settings > General > reset > reset all settings and enter your access code if you are required.

I hope I helped solve your problem today. If you need more assistance, feel free to ask

  • When click the "back" button after filling out web form, I can't, a message says that Firefox must send information that will be rpeat any action... Why can I go back?

My current Firefox is version 9.0.1 update
"when I click on the"back"button after filling web form or make payment online etc, I can't go back to my homepage, if I press the BACK BUTTON (arrow) a message said.
"Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (for example, a search or order confirmation) that was carried out earlier.

I don't want to re - order or repeat the process over. The only thing I can do is to leave Firefox and start again which is very painful.

    Any solution will be appreciated.

Older Firefox had this coming message in case you have used the back to go to a page that is requested from the server with the POST data specific to a form previously sent.

You receive an alert to send POST data if you return to a page or refresh a page that was requested in advance from the server by submitting form via a (hidden) MESSAGE form data.

Firefox can only make sure to get the same page send this POST form.

Firefox doesn't know what it means shape data, so Firefox asks for confirmation before sending the form data so action can you take to repeat an action and buy another article or post a message once.

A way to prevent that pop up is not to use the back button, but to open the links on a page that have been requested from a server by sending a MESSAGE form in a new tab (window) with a middle click or a Ctrl + left click.

Then you can close the tab or window to go back.

  • How do I allow people to Adobe Reader to fill out a form and save it for their own use?

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro, I created a simple form that users can fill.  I have never see the form.  The form is for them to complete, to their own computer and to update when they have more information.

When I open my 'test' recorded document and open it in Adobe Reader 9, I can edit and modify the fields, but I can't save it locally.  I get the standard WARNING "cannot save the data entered in the form.  I want the user to record, update and print at their leisure.

I tried to play with the functions of security, but without end. How can I do this?  Help, please.

    Thank you.

You need to extend the rights of the reader in the advanced Acrobat menu.

  • How warns we filled out the forms to be saved?

    Hi all

I recently received the task of drafting a few forms.

The idea is to provide blank forms for our intranet users. In this way the blank forms must be registered locally, filled and printed (with full content) according to the needs. The important point is that users should not be able to save the completed forms to content. I work with Acrobat Pro XI and would like an easy solution that works for this purpose (either by preventing the filled data to be saved in the first place, or at least the form layout white whenever the registered document is open).

Almost all the issues on the web with PDF and forms dealing with the reverse (for example, how to save filled forms), but my problem is that vice versa.

    Thanks for any help

If they are not using XI then you have no problem because in earlier versions, it was only possible to save a completed form if it was first activated in Acrobat. If you select no it can not save it.

And Yes, don't disable JS neutralizes your code.

If it is a major issue for you then maybe PDF forms are not the right choice, no.

  • Cannot fill out the form to Excel

    I use Adobe X Standard.

I'm trying to export a PDF form with fields to fill in Excel.

I tired serveral methods indicated on the site.

Whenever I get the form registered, the data entered in the form but are not exported to excel (or word).

    I tried these approaches

    File-> save as->-> Excel spreadsheet

    Highlight the table

    -Right click

    -Copy with formatting

    -Export the selection->

Tools-> form-> form several options-> manage form data-> export data (failed)

All the result above the form structure during registration, but none of the data entered

Tools-> form-> form several options-> manage form data-> merge data in a spreadsheet

He sees all the data and creates a file, but the formatting is lost and the file is not usable.

You can flatten the fields first, which converts the apparitions of field content page regularly. It should then be included when exported to XLS. You can do this with PDF Optimization, control upstream or JavaScript, but Standard does not include the first two and JavaScript is more difficult that it should be the standard, but you can set up a temporary bookmark and use that following the action of bookmark JavaScript code:

    Bookmark action

    flattenPages();

Or you can use the same code in the mouse event to the top of a button that you configure to not have a visible appearance.

If you need to do this a lot, you should get the following free JavaScript-based tool: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

  • The fields appear "hidden" when the use of ADADS to fill out the form.

    Hey,.

    I came across a weird problem that I can't solve;

Whenever the created form is filled using a MAC - sent form has all its hidden text fields.

I have to click on each field to reveal the data entered.

As soon as I click on another text field, then that text is revealed and everything else is hidden.

    Any fix for that?

The forms have been created using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.

    See you soon,.

  • By the way only filled out the form to the URL objects?

I have a form on search.cfm, that uses GET to pass information to another page, output.cfm. It works as I want, but I have trouble with my SQL statement because some fields are empty or simply "' complicated queries. I did experiment with solutions, but ColdFusion gives me a page error when I try to compare an undefined value to "" makes it difficult as well.

    So I wondered:
Is there a way to make the form or the receipt page receives does not empty parameters?
OR... a statement or function that will check if it is a value empty without giving me an error if it does not exist.
OR... a simple code that worked for you in the past.

the combination of len and the filling is what I usually use to find empty them
form fields. If you need to combine the existence check
field, you can do something like:

Do something with this form field, it exists and has a value.

You can change the 'aFieldName' to a variable to dynamically check many
    fields if you wish.

  • Click on a button to fill out the form on the same page of the report

    Hello

I have a report that contains a name I want to move to a field in a form on a different region on the same page.
    My button on the report was her own column called ADD_LINK. This is the button. "< id button ="apexir_btn_ADD"class =" button apexir "type ="button"value ="Add"onclick =" "> < span > </span > Add < / button >.

Once you click on this button, I have the form region fade. The region is called add the tag to the employee, which has P4_ROWID, P4_EMPLOYEE_ID and P4_TAG_ID.
Once the area is displayed, I want #NAME # to show in the P4_EMPLOYEE_ID.

I copy this form in another page, where I had it before. It made more sense to move it to this page for purposes of interface, then perhaps this tidbit will help as well.

If someone has an answer to it, great. I'm new so thanks for the help.

    Thank you.
    Jeremy

Its market not now and I did in the region never delete because you use the same area for the two remove hide/show the corresponding keys.

  • How do I change fields to be Transparent when you fill out the form?

I have created a form to be completed by others.  Right now, in mode complete all fields are blue.  When I click on them to type, they turn white as I want to, but when I finished typing and go click on another field, it becomes blue but still has the text.  It really sucks because I already have lines in places where people with type.  How can I change all the fields to be transparent or white, so they don't show up?

It is not an actual color of the field it's a highlight color for the application. You can disable it via editing - Preferences - forms.
