  Here is how I fixed it:

  Go to control panel > network and Internet > network sharing Center

  Click on "Change adapter settings" in the left pane.

  Right click on your map. Select "Properties".

  Uncheck anything that looks like it was installed by a third party (AVG, Avast, ZoneAlarm). In my case, the culprit was 'HTC NDIS Protocol Driver", who was installed by the software of my phone (HTC).
