  I bought a new pc with Windows 7 installed. I installed Age of Empires 3. When I go to multiplayer, about 95% of the games said "impossible to reach." I have my old pc (with xp service pack 3) still connected via a router even and it continues to connect to the games, so I guess that the router is ok. Nevertheless, I have disconected from the router and plugged back in after a while (this allows to sort this occasional problem on my old pc) but it's not better on my new pc.   I had to replace my router. I spent 2 hours with scientists of BT (who provided the broadband and router malfuntioning) and couldn't sovle the problem. So I bought a different brand of router and its working fine. I didn't have to forward ports or anything else, it worked just the box (Netgear). There must be some sort of conflict between Windows 7 and older equipment (BT Thomson).
