Age Of Mythology on Windows 7 Graphics problem

I have Age Of Mythology installed on my new laptop HP Pavilion G6 which uses Windows 7.  While the game my graphics can lift a bit messed up and visibility of my people is not really visible when it runs through areas that were still unexplored, as all the darkness disappears only in large blocks.  I can only see the lands within these blocks when the darkness disappears.  Enemies are because when they rise to where my line of sight should be.  The darkness and the line of sight is very much on the minimap, however, but not on the main Board.  It didn't happen when I played the game on Windows XP.  It's extremely annoying.

Hello

Follow the steps provided for a possible solution.

Method 1:

I suggest updating the graphics card driver and check if this is useful:

Update a driver for hardware that does not work correctly

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 2:

You can also download XP mode from the link and then try to run the game and check if it works:

Windows Virtual PC

I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 Graphics problem: graphics would become all deformed and weird looking

original title: graphic problem Windows 7

Hi, I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed on it.  Sorry if this problem has already been asked before, but I couldn't find someone else with the same problem I have.

Sometimes, the graphics would become all deformed and weird looking.  Look at the screenshot I took:

And it occurs for each program, not only on the desktop.  I could usually get rid of the lines by reducing the window and maximizing it again.  But it's so boring.

My graphics card is a Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.  I updated the driver from last night, but the same thing happens again.  So I don't know what else could be the problem.

    Thanks in advance!

Check if your video card has its own program/parameters adjustment control panel and use it to adjust your settings more towards the side of the 'quality' rather than the side 'Performance' and see if that smooth your edges for you.  Also, you said that your system is new.  You can look into having served through your warranty.  You also need to make sure that it is not getting too hot.  Laptops produce a lot of heat and if it doesn't get good ventalation / or enough, then he can begin to display this type of behavior.  I had to go out and get a 'cooling block' for mine to keep it cool.  I hadn't started to have problems because of the heat, but I decided on my own that he was too hot.   Hope this bit of info helps.

the only Web browser that is not affected by the present is chrome.  I knew another pile of graphic problems, including a very bright wallpaper, but that has inexplicably disappeared.  I'm sure that I've updated my graphics card drivers.  I tried to load games, and they work without any problem; the problem exists in these programs (that I know).  I'd appreciate any help.  Thank you

    Hi Contranova,

This could happen if one of the substantive programmes is in conflict with the proper functioning of the game. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

The steps to perform a clean boot are given below:

1 log on to the computer using an account with administrator rights

    2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue

    3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

    4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all

Note: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use with existing restore points system restore utility

Once you start office check if the problem persists, follow the steps in the article and find out which program is causing the problem.

For more information about the clean boot, follow the below given link:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart

You can also try to reduce the resolution of the screen and check if that helps. To change the screen resolution

    1. click on the Start button

    2. go in Control Panel

    3. under appearance and personalization, click on adjust the screen resolution

4 adjust and check if that helps.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Graphics problems during the game Age of Empire II in mode full screen in Windows 7

Original title: screen resolution and/or graphics problem with Windows 7.

Hi, I had currently two computers in my house upgraded to windows 7, one a Vista XP.

I am trying to run Age Of Empires 2 on both computers, the game has installed and running with ease, however it won't let you play the game in full screen, and also the color of things like grass and trees appear in red and orange, water displays brilliant purple.

I tried to change the windows screen resolution and the resolution of the options in the game, but it only changes in the percentage of the screen resolution, that he chooses to play in.

I can solve this? All advice is appreciated and thanks in advance.

PS I tried to reinstall and update graphic drivers, both computers have the same problem of new clean installations of windows and Age of Empires 2.

    Thank you

It is a problem due to the fact that AOE 2 was built on the platform Windows 95/98 Win9x. It will expose a few graphical artifacts while playing. You can try setting compatibility Win98 or Win95 check. There is also a workaround that may work in my opinion. You will need to search for "how to run StarCraft (1) on Windows 7" in Bing (Alternatively, Google: P) and it would show a site with a .bat file that could solve the problem of graphics in fullscreen.

    I hope this helps.

What I did with StarCraft was this:

On the desktop, right-click and select new text Document. Inside the Document, type this

    Taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
    D:\"StarCraft"\"StarCraft.exe".
    Start explorer.exe

Just replace the location of StarCraft with the location of the AOE II.

Save the file as: 'AOEII.bat' and then set the file type to the text file to all files.

What happens is that if corrects the discoloration and restart the explorer again after the end of the game. Although there is no easy way to change the icon of the good bat file: P

  • Issues of reading age of the titans of Mythology on windows 8

    Hello

My last laptop broke so I got a new laptop with Windows 8.

I installed age of Mythology titans gold edition, but the graphics are just not good, and it is not working properly. The graphics do not run smoothly, the areas which, in the game you move in for the first time, should be seen in a circle around the character, but he returned in large square blocks, and it seems very juddery with the effects of the smoke and the cloud.

Is there a problem with compatibility? I tried to belittle the graphics levels in the game and the resolution, but it does not work, and my Acer Aspire 5v has the good plug for the game. You have an overview of this problem? Can it be fixed or can I not play the game more :(

    Thank you

I have the same Acer and suffers from the same problem, only the graphics thing like you so far.  Have you managed to sort or have you given up?

    Hello MOOSE 1111.

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Regarding your question, first you simply bring up the line of command manually. And n go to start programs/accessories. Locate the "Command prompt" shortcut, right-click on this shortcut and select the "Run as Administrator" option.

The most notable change is that when you run with an administrator account, you run with standard user privileges.  You must explicitly raise a process to obtain Administrator privileges.
