Alignment of the text with flast.text.engine

Hello

I look at the example HelloWorld for TVE as part of layout of the text and I want to create a single block of text that is aligned to the right. How can I do this with the FTE NOT Text Layout Framework classes?

Thank you

Glen

  • Need help with the alignment of the text

I don't know the answer to this question is simple, especially since I have no chance of finding the same question asked previously.  I want middle align text so that it is centered between the top and bottom of the box / text field created using the "text" tool  Frame on the left is simple: I just click on the button "align left" on the text panel.  There is no button to the top, in the Middle, or align at bottom.  In fact, when I'm done with this question, I'll go ahead and present it as a new idea!

I also need to do the same with the text I add the vertical menu widget (menu manual buttons)... If there is a big difference in the way in which this is done, please let me know.

Here is an example of what I'm willing to do.  Yes - the bottom image is a composite, then please ignore the spaces at the beginning of the text.  I also wanted to "align middle" instead of "align center".

    Thank you!

If you want to center align text vertically, use top padding spacing Panel and change the desired number of pixel values (depending on the size of the text block).

Also, you can use whole pixel values absolute for all major (i.e. 16 px) values rather than the values of percentage (120%) that are managed differently in different browsers.

Here's a screenshot of the sample with settings that worked for me in my case where the text appears to be centered in all major browsers.

  • Wrong with the alignment of the text because of the Bounding Box (SC6)

I'm fighting to properly align the text because the selection boxes are not centered around the text.  Why, when I try to align on another object, it is turned off.  I use CS 6 and, as a general rule, the point tool and type.  I have read other forums that suggest that it could be the type of policy (which perhaps they are 'bad' fonts), but apparently not any type of police I use.  The framework encompassing always has extra space under the text, even when you use a very standard font such as Times New Roman.  Anyone can shed some light on this?  Thank you very much!

    Sarah

    Sarah,

    1. in the preferences, select "use Preview Bounds."

    2. Select the text you want to align.

    3. go to effect > path > describe the object.

    4. align

  • Advice needed on the alignment of the text in an e-mail.

I'm developing an email with a small logo (with a web link) with a descriptive text to the right. I tried to put a picture here, but it won't download for some reason any so posted it here: http://imgur.com/gallery/lHRD8VC/new

I can align the text on the image, but when it falls in the second line, it drops below the logo image and left justified. I want it all back right of the logo to look neat. I know that I can use the tap and space to get what I want in the email, but she is shown in a smaller window when it is created, all goes pear-shaped.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Alignment of the text (like MS Word) field

I'm trying to settle my field of text manually since acrobat only offers me 3 choices for alignment 'LEFT', 'RIGHT' and 'CENTER '.  Is there a 'JUSTIFY' property because my text field will be used for the writing of long texts as I would with writing such as MS Word software?

Also, each line of this text box is numbered (on the bottom) and it is crazy hard to get align these numbers with each line.  My second question is, so once you check the box "multiline", is it possible to set the number of lines (or height) in the field, so he would perform a kind of "vertical justification" and therefore automatically invariable to line numbers?  Suppose I need to change the number of lines from 40 to 47, I would change just the code instead of having to mess with the font size and type as well as having to redraw the background each time so that it can match.

I think it might be something that uses the height property of the textbox control.

Finally, when the user reaches the end of the text box, typing continues under the bottom of the box without warning him that he cannot be looking at the screen when writing.  So if I can set a maximum number of lines, it could be collapsed, I could put an app.alert or better yet, setFocus to the next page, so it would be continuous typing without noticing.

I am aware that an acroform is not writing software, but there must be a way to do it better.

The type of control you are looking for is not really accessible to the general public with the fields created with Acrobat. If you allow rich text formatting, the user has the option to set a full justification and has some control over spacing. Jump to the next field when the first is full cannot really be done transparently.

A lot of what you want to do is no longer possible with an XFA form created in LiveCycle Designer. The justification and the attack can be preconfigured and you can configure the dynamic fields that auto-élargir according to the needs.

  • Table goes out of alignment in the text box

I created a very simple table in InDesign CS5 on Windows 7, like this:

    1.png

However, when you start typing in a cell, it goes like this:

    2.png

To fix, you make the text bigger or smaller box and then resize it to what it is supposed to be. Also when I do a first page datamerge moves like that too, even if the rest is correct. When you export to PDF it comes out wrong as well. If anyone wants an example file that I can post it here.

Anyone have any ideas what's causing the alignment change when text is entered into the table?

Well, I think I see here the rub - if you left me speechless for a while there!

So, I see that you have the text box that contains your table to help you align your table in the center of your page. (i.e. the box containing the text is organized around the outside of the page and the table is centered lef/right using point centering and up/down by using the command "Center" in the control bar. There is nothing particularly wrong with this method, I think it may be the source of your problems with alignment change unexpectedly.

Looking at your file, I found that the removal of "Center" and change to the opposite to "align top" took the nervous behavior of the text box. It is more shifted when I tried to type. He however move the entire table to the top of the screen. For now we'll leave it there. Align the Page: Centre from left to right, Center t to b.

Your final result should be an element that is always perfectly centered on the page, but which can be of type in without any unpredictable jump around!

Now, we will select the entire area that contains the table. In the paragraph Panel, click "Left aligned". This will move the table to the top left of your document. Now, frame content. Go in the Align Panel.

    Hi all...

    I use Cp4.

    1.gif

    2.gif

I want to align the text to the right and down. Is this possible in Cp4. is there any solution for this?

    Elodie

    Hi Elise,.

Yes, but this has no effect at all, which is really confusing. The area in her repeat the Message will stay always aligned; I think it's because of the way the review is presented for the wrong answers, where a (large) table will be inserted and it would be difficult to achieve with the text aligned left or centered correctly. In CP5 that this possibility (unemployed) isn't there anymore, that is why I forgot it. In CP5.5 review has totally changed, symbols are now used to correct/incorrect feedback.

  • alignment of the text in the tables

More precisely/currently, I have a table heading (in acorss 3 columns in a single row of merged cells) which is defined for alignment of the Center, but when I preview the it or put, it moves to the left and move the text of 2 lines instead of one, as if the cells are not merged. I checked the HTML coding, etil seems well (said that alignment is Center).

Why is it that is happening... and no, the tables has not been imported. The table was created in HR.

    HELP AND THANKS!

Looks like it could be a problem with the fixed width of the column...

Go to the real code and try to remove the attribute ' width: 85.1pt;'.
This attribute is part of the tag

    Which solves the problem?

This sounds like a job for LPAD.  What exactly have you tried?  It is difficult to say what hurts you without knowing what you were doing.

I don't have a copy of your table, so I'll use the scott.dept table to illustrate:

    SELECT LPAD (dname, 20) department_name

    OF scott.dept

    ;

    Output:

    DEPARTMENT_NAME

    --------------------

    ACCOUNTING

    SEARCH

    SALES

    OPERATIONS

You want to justify the right title, like this

    DEPARTMENT_NAME

    --------------------

    ACCOUNTING

    SEARCH

    SALES

    OPERATIONS

    ?

If so, make this SQL * more order

    Department_name RIGHT-JUSTIFIED COLUMN

before running the query.  COLUMN... JUSTIFICATION applies only to the topic, not the data.

  • Alignment of the text in forms

I have the same rectangle at the top and at the bottom of a presentation as a banner of classification. When I add text to the rectangle using the right-click | Add text, the text seems to be aligned exactly as I want, centered on the x and y-axis. However, once introduced in preview or published, the text seems to be aligned at the top of the rectangle. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I just put a transparent caption on the form, rather than use add text?

    Oh, sorry, I meant CP5-question.

In CP4, I always used a transparent text on a form caption, did not like the functionality of the text here for different reasons (alignment being one of them), especially since it well will not sink in shape (oval, polygon).
