    Hello

Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

This problem may occur when you accidentally change parameters of type for the file .exe in Folder Options. Sometimes it can happen because of the virus also.

Microsoft safety scanner will help us to get rid of software viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

  • All my .exe files will open in the same program, how can I solve this problem?

I double clicked a .exe program and she appeared with an error saying that it was not a correct path, so I right click on it hung over 'Open with' clicked "choose program by default" found and selected it clicked OK, and I don't see the "Always" use the selected program to open this type of file until after I clicked OK , but now all my .exe programs open the same and the .exe .lnk changed, I was about to restore my computer to the previous version, but none of them go back far enough, what should I do to cancel the default program?

Darn, I was hoping that the registry itself would correct after a reboot. I always try to this for you. Following is a somewhat similar to what was posted by hetti:

However, this does not mean you're going to in the registry. You create a file that will do the registry work for you. According to this link, the fixittool only works for Vista.

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. External hard drives 1 TB are about $85 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from

http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

Network adapter. Missing drivers?  Go to your device manager and look to see if there is lack of device drivers. They can be labeled as just a controller ethenet or other device with a small exclamation point.

This means that they need a driver. In order to send you the link to the right driver, I need to know what model of network card you have.

If you are unsure, click on all the missing devices in Device Manager. Then click on the Details tab. In the property drop-down list, select the second element (Hardware ID). After the first string of characters you see.

If you open your old documents Pages ' 08 with 5 Pages it will convert and if not damage, remove a large number of useful features.

    any help?

It's extremely likely that your computer is clean and who knows what you deleted in the registry. The most practical thing and time-effective to do would be to backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. If you don't want to do that, then either mail to one of the following specialized forums take your computer to a qualified local professional GOLD. • Everything that I try to open brings the 'open with' box to the top and I can't open anything...

No matter what (files, programs, etc) I try to open makes the 'open with' box come up.  most of the programs are not in the list.  If it is in the list, and I choose to open to use it, it rises but does not load.  then the 'Open with' box comes back upward.  (process without end, I spent ten minutes doing to ensure that)  I tried to use system restore to before it started happening, but an error msg comes up saying that it cannot be opened.  I tried a few solutions .exe error in the forum, but some of the things that I needed to access opens either.  Help, please

  • No .exe file will open.

My friend's computer had a virus pop up. I used malwarebytes to remove it. Everything is normal, except that every time I try to open a program with the .exe, windows says "what program you want to use to open this file? For example when I try to open internet explorer, I get this message, then a list of programs of your choice. I choose internet Explorer in the list, and then I get the dialog box that says: "do you want to run or save this file?" (iexplorer.exe). I click on run, and I get the message "this program would you use to open this file?" again, goes in a cycle. The computer is a fairly old Dell, but it is not getting used a lot except for facebook, and probably _ (where the constant malware it gets).

Hey got a fix. I used a .reg file to the executable fix. Save ALL text below in a .txt file, then change to. Reg. name it whatever you like and add to the registry:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
    [- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile]
    [- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
    [- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
    @="\"%1\" %*"

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
    @= "exefile".
    "Content Type"="application/x-msdownload".
