  My preview pane of Mail suddenly disappeared and will not return. I tried all kinds of drag and switch between the 'Classic' provision and normal page and stop/restart implementation.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  All the presets, I've had InDesign CS5 has suddenly disappeared. Print presets, the predefined settings document, everything I put in place to begin a new document as paragraph and character styles, swatch colors, etc. The only thing that is still intact is my saved workspace. I'm sure I'll have to put it all once again, but y at - it a way to save ALL these preferences so that I can just restore them if it happens again? And Yes, I have Time Machine turned on and maybe that I did something right, but nothing came back to normal with a restore since last week when I know everything worked very well.   Dpocment and printer presets are saved in the InDesign Defaults file (it's a real file name, not a location). See replace your preferences for more information on find and save the preferences or look in tools Blatner (plugin) or in-Tools preferences Manager (I think).

  You can be smarter to follow the last statement and this post in the Forum of programs first because they are the experts. However, if it were any other file that the email file is how we recommend - so I will present for what it is worth.  Frankly, I'd like to repost in the Forum programs just to be on the safe side and because they may not know a simpler way of recovery - but if they are not, you have this to fall back on.

  The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

  I moved a few photos - around the image whole library disappeared.  I am able to take pictures through the bridge, but the photo library does not appear in the list of libraries and are not accessible. What should do? If you ask me how to create a new library of images and subfolders that would help settle.

  If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
   
  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
   
  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
   
  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
   
  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
   
  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
   
  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
   
  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
   
  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   Usually, it is because the two copies of the account are set up.  Go to tools | Accounts | Mail and see if there is more than one copy of the account.  If not, then try to compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and analysis of e-mail what to do is not enable in your anti-virus software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).  If this does not resolve things, try to delete your account, close and reopen WinMail and then add the account back again.

I use Yahoo mail for junk and spam of the screen, empty the trash from Yahoo, then open the remaining notes with Windows Mail after the release of Yahoo. This has just begun.

  It is not clear if you use a POP3 server or an IMAP account - it sounds as if it were an IMAP.  I don't know how messages get tossed into the trash from Yahoo rather than be removed.  You could try to remove the account, closing and reopening of Winmail opener and then adding the new account.  This resolve sometimes strange questions.  Also check interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).
