• Application of effects to the Group of objects in a floating frame - fail.

  Hi, I do not know if someone has encountered this... I have a group of images (rating music, so black on white in fact) in a floating frame.

  I have a textured background, and I want to knock out the white in the pictures to let the background show through. Effect of obscuring should work, and on "static" images (not in a scrolling frame), it is very good. But I tried to apply the effect to the framework itself; in the Group of objects; the individual objects. All the methods of good air in InDesign, but when previewing the content viewer, I can see the effect didn't, uh, indeed. This project is directed to iOS, and I'm assuming that the content viewer gives a fairly accurate glimpse?

  And I don't want to get into the clipping paths or alpha channels, but if there is a better way to knock out white, I would be very grateful for the entry. Screenshots show (left), InDesign Content Viewer (right). Thank you very much!

  Blend modes are not compatible between overlays and static content. You will need to re-think this or find a way to get this content to have a transparent background. Where did this come from?

• Have a button and the image move at the same time in a floating frame

  I have inserted an image into a rectangle and make it a floating frame that works Flory.

  However, I want my form that I made in a button to also be in the same frame and scroll at the same time.

  Is this possible?

  You can have a single object within a framework of scrolling, but this object can be

  a group. You need the button with the image of the Group and then paste it

  in the framework.

• Floating frame - melted at the bottom

  Hey guys,.

  I can't get this to work. I have a floating frame, and I would like to have a subtle shading the bottom of it.

  I know how this Flash etc.: create a gradient image/chart of total transparency to white (or your background color) and superimpose on top of the framework.

  But when I try to do this in InDesign, the floating frame is located at the top of all the rest.

  Is there a way to get the videographic image degraded to sit on top of the overlay? Maybe making it into some form of superposition?

  It's pretty easy, I just learned this.  All you need to do is create a MOS (Multi State Object) with an image with a gradient and color that matches your border scroll background.  It must be a MOS because it can be sitting/living on top of the moving image.

  So first, you create the gradient to sit on top of the SF.  Say for example using your example, make white transparent degraded discoloration.  Are the same width as your SF.  Make about a half inch or so great.  Make two identical copies and give it to a MOS.  In the Overlay creator set the 'Auto Play' and 'Play' MOS 1 and check «Stop and last Image» Place this at the bottom of your SF MOS and it will give the effect of it fading as it scrolls.  Play with the spacing of your SF to make sure it sounds good when scrolling.

• Frames anchored for images will remain not as place

  I am just placing of reinforcement anchored for images in my documents using the pod of roame anchoreed. However, executives will not remain as after I have save and close the document and open it again. I used the slot option current after selecting line sink it in the paragraph. Seems odd, but the way I want it to work. Any ideas on how to improve this? I want executives to pierce the width of the block of text document and place the nearest inside of the link image.

  The anchored frame is not behind the text. It's cropped, which I believe is the default when creating an anchored frame or a chart is important.

  In the properties of the anchored frame, clear (clear) Cropped and change the alignment to the left or right, instead of Center. You can also clear the floating box. These selections should still be there once you save and open the document.

  Maybe you were using another way (I don't know what) to change the position of the frame anchored without also clearing these check boxes. But that's just a guess. Try the above and see if it works.

  Is it possible to put a file .oam in a floating frame?

  I'll have no chance.

  Even tried this grouping with other graphics but no go.

  Any ideas, or is - this all simply not supported?

  Try to create a floating with any content. Delete content so

  all you have is an empty block. Content scrollables parameters should always

  be there. Now, paste your OAM file in the image and adjust accordingly.

• Swipe in the slide show or a floating frame

  Hello

  I want to leave the shot of the player through the images in my layout in a roll of desctops way iOS or photos in the standart iOS app. Now that they just fade. Or simply scroll when put in a floating frame.

  I want they get fixed shortly before the shots to drive again.

  It is even possible to do?

  Not with our current show. There is no way to get a 'film' - style shot behavior, it is always a fade in. Also, we do not support flapping in fixed positions in a floating frame.

  I can't seem to find the 'floating Frame' on my creative overlay Panel and now I'm caught in the middle. Did I missed? I see the following:

  Management separate scrolling is a feature of v19. If you are on v18 or an earlier version, you want to Pan & Zoom > Pan only.

• Can a MSO be inserted in a floating frame and controlled by a button?

  I have just one test, ASM does not work, I don't know if I do it in the wrong way or MSO rely in scrolling.

  Currently, interactive elements cannot be nested.  Thus, an MSO can be placed with a floating frame.

  You can achieve the desired effect by using HTML, however.

• FM7.2: Problems with frame anchored in the rotated table cell

  Hello O Experts,

  I am facing a nasty problem with FrameMaker 7.2 for Windows with frames embedded in rotated table cells. I was wondering if any of you have seen this problem and know how to solve.

  The problem is reproduced as follows:

  1 create a table.

  2. Add a small frame anchored "the point insertion" inside one of the cells.

  3. Add a line of text to the anchored frame.

  4 turn the cell by 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise.

  Up to step 3, the anchored frame and the line of text behave as expected. Can I choose both the frame and the text line, move and resize. In all cases, they are displayed correctly.

  After step 4, the following occurs:

  • The content of the anchored image appear or is badly distorted.
  • Is no longer, I can select or resize the anchored frame (if I try, FM acts irregularly and wildly moves the outline around the page).
  • I can choose is no longer the line of text in the frame.

  I enclose a file FM (created using integrated model "portrait" of FM) sample that illustrates the problem.

  If someone knows this problem and I hope a solution, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd share. Thank you very much!

  Michael,

  If you turn just the anchored frame itself and not the cell (content) then everything behaves. If you have lots of content for the anchored frame, then place a block of text in the anchored frame, use a suitable paratag in text and only turn the framework anchored (all content will follow along then).

• Frame anchored with automatic shrink film

  Hello

  I have a problem that I need help.

  I am importing a range of graphics in my document and in my read/write rules, I have all the required properties for the images.  When the pictures are imported, they appear properly (size, etc.) but the default margin of the image is still there.  Is it possible that you can automatically apply the shrink film to the anchored frame (or frame anchored to have a default margin of 0?).

  Some of the images we have are only 5 mm x 5 mm and there may be several of them on a single page.  Therefore, selecting each image and press Esc Maes to shrink wrap will become a very time consuming process.

  Any suggestions that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

• Im trying to put 2 OSM inside a floating frame. Is this possible?

  I have a page that I would have the original copy text scrolling down to a MSO and within the OSM is an another MSO, I got the OSM inside another ASM, but now when I try to use the anchor point and fix all the contents of a block of text within a floating framework, I can't assign interactivity in overlays of folio. It is grayed out. Any ideas?

  A little bug. Create a graphic image on the right size (you can adjust it later). Stick some dummy content and set the scrolling image options. Delete the content and then paste the content you want in the frame.

• Find frame anchor of broken graphic links

  I have a document that when opening wants a new link to an image that has been removed from the file. I looked on body pages, master pages, reference pages, all I can think to locate where the graphic that is looking for the file might be located. Can anyone offer additional places in the file to watch?

  If the file is not part of a book, make a, then:

  Add > list of > figures

  and you will know what it is on the page (if LOF catalogues missing imports, which it may not).

  You can also save as a MIF and get back in the MIF for the name of the object. You need to learn a little about the MIF to decipher where that maps in the document.

  Import references can hide in all kinds of places, including but not limited to:

  • the edge of the anchored frame (had 2 of those today)
  • hidden behind an opaque, something you can see
  • currently disabled conditional text
  • text sank out of sight on the offline page
  • in the flat view, but hidden by color views

  Worse: create a 1 x 1 pixel white object and give it the name of the rogue.

• Transparency/multiply inside a floating frame

  I need help...    I am trying to paste the content in a frame floating that contains not only transparency, but an object that is set on multiply. Transparency works very well, but the multiplier effect seems not carried over to the frame with scrolling. The object is just an image with a solid color fill opacity to 90% with Multiply value.

  In my opinion, I've exhausted all my options in looking for this and I finally decided to post? Does anyone have any ideas on this? My gut tells me this is not yet supported, but thought I would check.

  Excel graphics are saved in PDF format and then imported in FrameMaker 2015, in the pre-made frameworks. The executives serve as placeholders until the PDF pages are imported. Is it possible to scale automatically PDF to fit into the frames pages performed prior to import?

  If you use the add-on of PDFCreator to Excel, then all cards are exported to a PDF of letter size and are resized according to your option specified in Excel (actual size, fit to width, sheet calculation correspond to the single page of paper).

  If the cards are the same size, then you can use an object Style on the graph imported to scale and position as desired. If the cards are of different sizes, it might not work that although you might need a certain Styles object cover all sizes [you can create as many Styles of object, but it can quickly become out of control].
