animated GIF and color gradient problem

Hello

I tried to create a gif animated with gradient background. My animation works fine but the problem is that when I saw either in the browser or in preview mode, the gradient is not smooth. I want to know if there is a way around this? I've seen some on other sites, and it seems perfect. I wonder how they do it.

I will appreciate help from anyone.

I have to thank you all for your help so far. I have to say, I know only how go back a certain number of things and I do not understand some of the technical terms you used as dither, dither geometric, blending mode... But overall, I understand that if I mix colors that are close, I will have something close to smooth.

Here is the Wikipedia page on a dithering: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dither scroll down until you see the pictures of cats on the right side. It's a little more to halfway. In the original, the cat is pretty much a gradient. If this image is saved as a .gif file, see how to get large areas of color? It looks almost like a paint-by-numbers picture. This similar to what is happening to your radial gradient when you save in .gif. I used the "geometric" Word, because the radial gradient will produce gray colors arcs. The third picture of the cat has the dithering. This means that, instead of setting the colors of the original image to the one closest in the limited palette, the software tries to understand how speckle image in order to produce an average which would be better at a distance. Plug the dithering when you go to the output that your gradient will help make your smoother image, just like the third image of the cat is more fluid than the second. This is where you turn on the dither if you go through file > preview image:

Here I have my not flattened .png file

No, it is flattened. It's a single bitmap.

This is a noisy image, I created. It has a radial gradient at the bottom, then a layer of texture that has its visibility, because I copied it to a grayscale version to use. I set myself to have 25% opacity and a Multiply blending mode. The opacity and the merger of mode controls are at the top of the layers panel. It is a FW .png (Edit, no, it isn't!) The forum continued to support that! ):

If I export the gradient alone, without the texture layer, I get this (parameters are '64-color' gray palette and no dithering):

or that (turning dithering):

While the tone is better, it still shows the arcs. If I put the layer of texture visible return and export with dithering, I get this:

The noise in the texture breaks geometric arches, that makes the smooth image. Any small texture will do it. Choose the 64 levels of gray color palette gives me colors either 22 or 26. The 32 color palette gave me 12. You should experiment with .gif palette settings to see which you like the most. Remember the colors more you assign to your background colors as you have for your first plan objects.

As a final point, the red text appears blurred. When I Zoom in on it (400%), some lines are partially "broken," specifically the verticals on the L, T and N. You might want to try a different font or by adjusting the height so that aliasing (mapping) to the pixels is cleaner. Text in italics in small size is difficult to use.

    Now when I open the bridge there are several questions. The first being the Photo Downloader will download is actually more images. The buttons are simply inadequate. It's infuriating to say and I was not able to find advice on the matter. I use the latest versions of Camera Raw and Bridge.

    Second, bridge is changing the color of my screen profile. This has never happened before, so I guess it has something to do with a new update. I use a calibrator monitor (ColorMunki) to set the color of my screen and I am not interested in having the bridge or other products Adobe does not interfere with this it works perfectly so far. I've read everything available on Creative Suite color settings, however I don't find a way to load my monitor profile in the color settings options.

    I'm on a 15 "MacBook Pro which is less than years.

    If anyone can shed some light on the above questions, I would be really grateful. It ruined my workflow and I'm a bit at a loss for what to do.

    In the meantime, I'm curious to hear if anyone else is having the same problems with the Photo Downloader...

    Exit the bridge and go to your user library (if not visible select the Go menu and hold down the option key to reveal the user library).

    in this library from the menu 'Préférences' find and delete the file plist Photodownloader manually (com.adobe.photodownloader.plist), and then try again.

  • How can I open with an animated gif and then go to the home page?

    I'm sorry for the newbie question, but I would like to have an intro of gif hosted on a web page. Is it possible to have the gif game and then go to the index file? Or I have to insert the gif into an index file and save the homepage like something different? If so, how to go to the home page automatically?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks for the help.

    I agree... I don't necessarily like the animated intro, but he asked the person that I created the site for. I didn't use the flash because of the possibility that people do not have it or have it turned off and I thought this would be an easier option. Thanks again.

  • Serious problems to export a movie to an animated GIF

    I'm trying to export a movie to an animated GIF and, well, the resulting file is garbage. I don't want to say it looks like less than optimal... I mean it looks like absolutely nothing to the video source at all. I heard from others that there are significant problems with the GIF-to-export Flash routines, but does anyone have advice to try to improve the situation?

    Thank you.

    That certainly seems to produce superior - or at least, achievable - results using this approach. But it doesn't seem as if the colors in the palette are allocated correctly. (To be sure, my film in its current state is not very nice gifs.)

    In any case, thanks for the tip... and it looks like that publish on the GIF option is really, really broken!

  • Animated GIF how to animate already?

    I want to add a gif animated (like http://i.imgur.com/0ySdU.gif) loop to a scene and animate it (the size of the object should change).

    How can I do this?

    Any help is appreciated! See you soon!

    This particular animated gif appears to be corrupt. But normally you would simply import animated gif, and it should become a movieclip. If it is not, as was the case with this gif, you should always get the frames of the animation. You can then arrange them in the timeline to a new movieclip. To make it grow and shrink you would copy some of the executives at the end of the sequence, and then select the frames, right-click and choose Revrse images.

    If there are 5 images, you would end up with this in your timeline:

    12345432

    Which loop to well, and you can place the movieclip on the stage, to resize the entire animation.

  • What is the application preferred for animation GIF/PNG in CC?

    After the Fireworks has been deprecated, what is the preferred application currently in CC for the creation of animated GIF and png?

    Flash and Photoshop?

    Both offer a timetable, and the two exports to animated gifs. After export you can optimize the animations gif with a utility such as Gifsicle. It can save a little of the size of the file.

    APNG (Animated PNG files) is a non-standard file format, and because of this Adobe applications remain unable to export animated png files.

    Chrome, Opera, and IE do not support APNG files. Safari and Firefox don't.

    If you still want or need to create APNG files, a list of a number of tools for editing and conversion is available here: Software APNG

  • import animated gif in CS3

    Sorry, I'm new to Flash CS3. I have an animated gif I want to convert it to Flash. I thought I could just open or import and Flash would recognize that it is and allow an easy conversion. Right?

    I tried to import the gif as well as individual images. Flash does not seem to recognize some animated gifs, and it seems that I have to start from scratch. A search of the internet suggests a third-party software is necessary, but the research of Adobe references using Macromedia or CS4

    Does anyone know a link with the correct procedure?

    It's easier (for me) as I pointed out, and I use CS3. If you want to correct me on do not open a new file, I assumed you already had an open, if not, you missed a few not so... Register to purchase Flash-> install-> Flash-> Flash Flash open->...

    If you were able to correctly import gif, a movieclip of it should be in the library, as well as the individual bitmaps of each image of it. If you don't have these things, then it can be than broad with the file gif himself.

  • Animated GIF problem

    Hello

    I use a GIF image for the design of the loading bar

    The image is a black & white gif image that is his black image with white animation on it. but the problem is when I tried to load the image in the encodedImage holding corruption when shading is displayed. I tried the app with thread of animation. Also, I tried to draw the picture in a class that extends BitMapField. the problem still persists. Any idea on a question also

    This is the code that I had to use for gifs:

    Standard paint:

        protected void paint(Graphics graphics)
        {
            //Call super.paint. This will draw the first background
            //frame and handle any required focus drawing.
            super.paint(graphics);

            //Don't redraw the background if this is the first frame.
            if (_currentFrame != 0)
            {
                //Draw the animation frame.
                graphics.drawImage(_image.getFrameLeft(_currentFrame), _image.getFrameTop(_currentFrame),
                    _image.getFrameWidth(_currentFrame), _image.getFrameHeight(_currentFrame), _image, _currentFrame, 0, 0);
            }
        }

    The paint that I used:

        protected void paint(Graphics graphics)
        {
            for ( int i = 0; i <= _currentFrame; i ++ ) {
                graphics.drawImage(_image.getFrameLeft(i),
                                   _image.getFrameTop(i),
                                   _image.getFrameWidth(i),
                                   _image.getFrameHeight(i),
                                   _image,

  • Record animated gif problem

    Hello!

    Just for fun I was intending to change a gif of tackle football animation. I intend to remove the player attacking every frame of the animated gif image. So it would take time to complete.

    I correctly opened the gif in CS6 via import of video frames to layers.

    It consists of 72 layers and I tried to fix 10 of them just to see how it would roughly look like.

    My problem comes when I try to save and restore the GIF (via save for WEB).

    The first 10 images of my gif displays only an image of freezing, and then it shows the rest of the 11-72 without any problem.

    What am I doing wrong, because my layers edited does not appear in the final GIF?

    http://i.imgur.com/IeNX8.jpg

    Right away! Easy solution.

    First of all, the reason why your first 10 frames do not change is because each of these images shows the same layer (Layer 1).

    • In your layers panel, you have 1 layer visible value and all of the other layers are invisible. It's good for image 1, but for part 2, you'll want to do 2 layer that is visible.
    • Click on image 2 in your editing panel and then check the eyeball icon to make the visible Layer 2 ! Do the same for the frame 3/Layer 3, Frame 4/layer 4, etc until you reach the end of the animation!

    For the second problem, to make frames from layers option is grayed out because you already have pictures in your timeline.

    • Go to your timeline panel and select all the images and delete them.
    • Then select all your layers in the layer panel, right click and choose the Images made of layers... you should be able to click it once your Timeline is disabled. It will automatically create the images that range from Layer 1 to your last layer (so you wouldn't have to do it manually as above ^).

    Anyway should take care of your problem! Please let me know if it works for you!

    See you soon,.

  • Problems/help with animated GIF export

    I am an experienced user of Photoshop.  I've recently upgraded to CS5 (Windows) and have sought to produce animated GIFS.

    After reading some tutorials on the subject, I was able to:

    Create a PSD with some images of jpg in the form of layers;

    Move the layers in the animation window;

    The cycle time and optimize the animation window. and,

    The levels of peripheral dialogue Web backup to create the GIF file.

    Everything seems to be normal throughout this process.  However, the exported GIF file appears as a grey frame dark when I open it in Internet Explorer, or download it on my site of images.

    Does anyone else know this type of problem?

    Thank you

    On 5K bytes, I'd say you're full, nothing there.

    I can't help thinking that there could be problems with the settings that you selected in the dialog box peripheral & Web...  Could you capture your screen in this dialog box and show what you got there?

    You see a blank image like the one you posted above in the optimized tab?

  • Export or publish on animated GIF problems.

    Hello!

    I just did a SWF banner, but also my client wants it not as an animated GIF.

    When I publish the animation as an animated GIF, not only is the slower animation, but the lost colors their transparency, and makes weight jump 50 times.

    Here are the two:

    http://www.Chris.lafacade.com/maquettes/Cholette/big_box_gif.html

    What I am doing wrong?

    I really need the GIF animation to weigh 39 k max.
    Thank you!
    Chris.

    Some things do not lend themselves to become animated gifs, especially if they are in competition with a version of Flash.  When it comes to the gif files you process compromise due to limitations of the color palette, representing deviations in color that you will find.  And with aniimated of the gif files, you deal with potentially hundreds of images gif individual trying to recreate what Flash anime very effectively.  Down the weight would require reducing the number of colors, to optimize each part of the animation and remove the components of the animations as well.

    Without knowing how much he weighs now, it is difficult to say if you could get any where near your goal of 39 K without ending up with a whole other appearing animation.  This is probably a case of one of those things where wants that the customer is not necessarily possible without compromise.
