• Window/Animation disappeared - how to animate it please

  I can't work on how to animate 2 simple images in Photoshop CS6 Extended. Window/Animation went to Photoshop CS6. I don't want to not video, but the timeline won't let me use the images. And can I drag anything. If I click on the right arrow little scenario there is nothing there as before. For example, I used to be able to make images of layers in the old version.   I just found out that if you click on a new button in the middle of the timeline called Make animation, it moves a single image. You can access executives of the brand of diapers. Here there is a help file to show me how to do this.

  I have a piece of RoboHelp (FlashHelp) at http://iqweb.mcny.edu/iqweb/Student_IQWeb/userGuide/student_IQWeb.htm, which has a few animated GIFs, you will find one at the end of the page in the book Do it online, topic view request status.   If you had FCP7, you have Quicktime 7 Pro (upgraded automatically at installation FCP7). Check your Applications > Utilities folder.

  Open the gif in QT7 and export as... (Sequence Quicktime Movie > Open Options)... might as well go with ProRes LT and make sure that you pay attention to the size option (select current if the original is 100%).

  Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default programs, "Associate a type of file or Protocol with a program", the command on my machine the default program for .gif is Internet Explorer.  Which appear to indicate a page full of IE with an animated .gif, maybe you need a third party program to do what you want?

  Go to IE tools/internet options/advanced/multimedia. Make sure that the option to play the animations is turned on. If no joy, make sure that your connections are associated with Internet Explorer - if you click on a .gif file in windows Explorer, IE should open to view it.  Some security software can disable the animation.

  Animate publishes in HTML only, so no you can't export a gif file. For your customer, have you thought to upload your project to a web server and send the link?

  Right, both for Mac users. Export your video using any codec you want.

  Open your file in Photoshop

  Go to file / export / save for Web (Legacy)

  This opens a window of oooold school, which allows you to save it as a .gif file. It will take ages to load depending on your system (cos it's legacy) but it works.

  I create a new document in Fireworks CS6.

  I import an animated gif existing (a video AVI converted gif in Photoshop CS6).  Its dimensions are smaller than the size of the document, so for me it's just an object such as text or anything else.

  I add some text to the document.

  I add a small png image to the document.

  (This is where comes my lack of understanding of the fireworks...)

  1. If I reposition the animated gif object this change occurs only on State (context), that I am. I want my repositioning to be reflected in all States, not only the one image... Err, STATE.

  2. the text and the png, I added are also only on this single State and I want them to be present for all managers in the original animated gif.

  Sounds so rudimentary, but I can't find a tutorial or the description on how to achieve these basic steps.

  This is a png image of what should look like the final image.  The largest screen captures in the middle is the animated gif.

  

  To reposition all the elements of your both animated GIF, go in the States at the bottom panel left and choose 'Show All States' (also check multi - State edition is activated). From there, you can use the pointer tool to select the items on the canvas who want to move.

  To share a layer between all States (such as the elements of your text and png), go the State in which the objects are currently present, select the corresponding layer and choose 'Share layer to States' in the menu drop-down in the layers panel or context menu.

  I looked under the publication for gif but no option there, or in the color setting in the main design window has any setting Alpha or transparency.

  Thought that the problem has disappeared. The only solution I found was to export a PNG sequence with transparency, import all back in a best animated GIF exporter like Fireworks as a sequence of images and exporting from there once again. It will give you the best quality, control over the timeline, closure and various image by image of the AGIF features.

  But yes, it's a headache for several stage.

  I went through and actually created this using a MP4 video.  I have CS5 accessable, so I used CS6, but it should work the same.  I made a few changes here is the process:

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  Now, you can save to the web as a GIF file.  The length of your video may be causing crashes.  GIFs should be of very short duration.

  It will take maybe a few different apps.  The number one app is clearly you and your ability to conceptualize.  And well, it depends what kind of animation desired end product.  Graphics of the game is much different from an animated banner .gif web.  I think animate in Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
