  If I understand, you went to have the screen of your iPhone repaired to the Apple authorized service provider, but did not receive a confirmation email from the provider regarding your visit in?   Since your password has not changed for access, the password may have been learned through strikes or phishing somehow. It would still be a good idea to update your password information and security.  http://www.Apple.com/legal/more-resources/phishing/

  Two-factor authentication is perhaps something to look at as well, so you can be made aware of all the connections on your account. Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support. To do this, before you change the other security settings on your account as your password if you decide to go ahead with it.
