Anyway to temporarily ignore the smart guides using the tool pen?

I have a love relationship with the guides and hatred. When I want to that they're bad; When I'm not good they are.

While trying to do things with the pen tool, I am often confronted with smart guides snapping my tool around without the broken my volition. I'm not really good with the pen tool yet, so it is making a more difficult climb when they interfere.

Now, I know I can disable smart guides by doing Ctrl-U, but it has side effect of my pen from the current curve I'm free. When I click on the end of this curve to start where I left off, it changes the anchor in a corner instead of curve and mess up what I was going to. Would not a problem except that I sometimes envy the guides while I'm still on the same curve so I don't want to not completely turn them off as I work and I have to then reactivate to correct a task, know what I mean?

Yes, is there a key that I can hold to temporarily turn turn off smart guides or ignore them somehow? I met quite a few keys that try so I think not. This probably indicates that I just need to improve my skills to learn to work with it better.

At least until 13 Illustrator, it's a trick or rather an ugly hack that is to align it on the gate drive and talent to temporarily disable all the features of smart guides. The following must be prepared in case you run the hack as an action:

1. in the actions Palette, create a new action game. Call it "turn off Smart Guides.

2 in all scripts, create a new action. Call the 'Disable Smart Guides', assign an F key to action, say F3 and press ENTER.

3. in the actions Palette menu, and then select the command insert a Menu item and go to view > snap to grid

4 stop action recording

5. go in Edition > Preferences > Guides & grid

6. in the grid of each text box, enter 0.01 mm. This is the minimum value that you can set here.

7. in the text box of Subdivisions, enter 1000, maximum value accepted here.

Now, take any document, turn on smart guides, make sure that snap to grid is turned off, and start drawing a path. Press F3 and continue the way of drawing. Press F3 again as soon as you still need your guides.

As you can see, after hit F3 to snap to grid, the path will not be interrupted when you place the next point. And you have a sort of microscopic parameters of the grid, snap to grid has almost no influence on which points are placed. Actually, he clings still, but because of absurd grid settings, it is rather negligible.

Of obvious workaround was originally invented by a young lady, located near Edmonton in the Canada.

  • I can't iTunes to temporarily ignore the checkboxes for playback?

Pretty much what the title says. I uncheck some songs in my main library because I rarely, if ever play and I don't want to have to jump on them when they come to shuffle. However, recently, I wanted to listen to all the songs on a series of albums together, and I have playlist for these albums, but right now a lot of songs are unchecked. I don't want to go through the hassle to check all these songs and then remembering those to uncheck/go through the process of unchecking them when I return to the main song list (it's six albums in total).

It also seems kind of ridiculous create a playlist of the songs just checked in my main library; as I have to update every time that I get more music.

Is it possible to get iTunes to temporarily ignore the boxes for purposes of reading? Or, failing that, a way to assign only a playlist by checking / unchecking the boxes?

I am currently using iTunes 11.0.0.163, for what it's worth.

You can disable the checkboxes in the preferences. This prevents them affecting playback. Otherwise if you drag stuff until then he plays enabled or not. Note You can also set pieces chosen to ignore during random playback.

  • In using the tool pen as a Guide?

Is it possible to use the tool pen of freedom as a guide? I used the "Auto layer blending" and there are some shifts. If I use the tool pen of freedom at the edge where the mixture was made. After I correct misalignments, I want to get rid of the sketch of the pen tool. I tried to put the pen tool on its own layer, but when I deleted the layer, the pen marking tool was still there. Is it possible to get rid of the marking pen after resolving misalignments?

    Thank you

  • How do I move the two forms at the same time using the tool pen

Screen Shot 2016-05-17 at 12.03.13 PM.pngI tried merging groups 1 2 and 3, so they can be handled together. I've grouped them and they merged, but when I try and move with the pen tool they move separately. For my project, I need to be able to change the shape of 12 and 3 using the pen tool, how would I go to do this?

they set out like a vector Illustrator diagram, I've merged them there and imported, but they always move separately.

    Thanks in advance

If you work with multiple masters and the tool pen, you use the Ctrl/Cmnd key to change the pen of a selection tool that resembles a small white inverted V. You can drag a selection around multiple points on a path and then hold down the SHIFT key and select more points on a different path. Once selected you release the Ctrl/Cmnd key and when you go near a selected vertex selection tool appears again, but this time it is a small black reverse V. and drag.

If you want to transform these points then all you have to do is press Ctrl/Cmnd + t when they are selected and you will actually have a better tool paths of transformation you get in Illustrator.

He is essentially on the functioning of the tool pen in Illustrator if you select the direct selection in artificial intelligence (the key) and then the pen tool (p key) and use the Alt/Option key to switch to the top to convert or Ctrl/Cmnd to direct selection points.

BASIC Edition of masks stuff covered in the help files and explained in community resources, if you enter editing masks or change forms or the pen tool in the search help field at the top right of the AE.

If you are using multiple forms on a single shape layer, you can do the same by providing that the forms are curves of Bézier or Rotobezier.

If the paths of the form or masks are on separate layers, you are out of luck. There is no way to change the multiple paths on different layers at the same time. I don't expect that there is a way to do it. Here's a short demo:

  • Why Illustrator change my anchor points and size race randomly when I'm using the tool pen?

Why Illustrator change my anchor points and size race randomly when I'm using the tool pen?

    k,

It looks like you might be haunted by the Align attribute to the ghost of the pixel grid.

You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher. It is crucial that the checkbox is disabled completely, not just a - which also count as ticked.

It may be noted that even align with the pixel grid is cleared with all the selected objects, align new objects to the pixel grid is checked as the creation of new objects will result in these new objects being aligned, even when they are created from existing objects that can happen with Pathfinder operations.

You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • Where is the tool pen?

It is a very simple question that I can't understand, and this may sound stupid. Where is the tool pen? I'm pretty new to sequels, I used CS6 for a long time but now in DC, I can't find the pen tool, it used to be in a bar on the top and now it is not there. I feel very stupid, and there is probably a very simple answer. I want to make a mask. IM on mac using Adobe after effects 2015.

the first thing I teach my students is "reset workspace. When you start with the software and it has so many shortcuts you'll ruin things. probably, you don't see the tools Panel. Windows-> work-> reset standard space.

and if you want, you can use the shortcut 'G '.

  • Help with the tool pen when moving CS5.1 to CC

I never use PS, but still did not used to the tool pen in CC, especially when compared to CS5.1.

I would be eternally grateful if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong or how do things!

In CS5.1 I could draw a path with the pen tool, then command-drag on the line between two points to change the shape of the path between these two points. In CC when I ordered-drag path of shape changes but made the way across two points, I am working on.

In CS5.1 only the length of the handles Bezier control altered, in CC length and angle of the altered control handles, which affects the path I want to change.

So what I am doing wrong? I use the pen and the path a lot and I'll have to go back to CS5.1 to do any series and complex path works because I can not familiarize themselves with the new CC pen tool. Help!

Also, with the Direct Selection tool selected see if checking force path by dragging in the options toolbar makes a difference.

  • Why the tool pen decided to stop letting shapes on the tour?

I am tracking a series of squares of aerial images of buildings. After I updated my illustrator, the pen tool decided to stop to let me do this in a clean way. For example, I'm doing a sketch for a shopping centre, a floor plan based. I draw a square, my next shape is a rectangle. I hold SHIFT key to allow the tool pen anchor immediately above one of the anchors of the place. Previously, I would, and everything would be fine. Now I'm doing it, and the second that I create my next point, it forces the anchor first outside the anchor of squares. It also leaves not the features overlap each each other. He moves. So instead of having two squares which affect, suddenly 1pt. Where they touch is now 2pt because moving automatically forms without saying me it. So I get my tool of choice to move the points back where I had originally placed. I have no slam on. In fact, it feels almost as if it is anti slam anchors. With glance on this subject makes it even worse. What is going on?

Here's an example, let me remind you that all these places are supposed to be of the same width and with a uniform wall. The stylus moves my anchors in all directions.

Here is an example of how the front worked pen tool I have updated. Each section is an individual shape. But they overlap with ease.

How can it be a bug in Rectangles to live when he said that it is using the pen to create the forms?

Mr Nagoo, I suspect it is because you have "" Align new objects to the grid of pixels"turned on (see the wheel of Transform Panel menu).

  • How to extrude a path created with the tool pen

    Hi all

I created a path with the tool pen (part Brown) and now I want to extrude, but output is the set containing the block (see image below)

Now, I have tried everything, from the grouping of transparent traces, etc., but nothing works.

    How to extrude my way?

    Thank you

    Illustrator_Extrude.PNG

It is because you applied an effect hatched the path before extrusion it. You are effectively 'extrusion' the raster image, which is a rectangle.

Don't, don't. Apply the frame effect to a rectangle and store that as a symbol. Give the desired path to extrude a simple filling and extrude. Then use the veneering of 3D effect feature to map the symbol to the desired surface.

  • New path-layers of all lines with the tool pen?

Hello! I am currently using Illustrator CS6 as a test version, and when I use the tool pen to make a beaver (school work), it all end in a single layer. I want to have a new layer-path of each line with the pen tool, so I can remove rows from the layer panel too. For the moment, it's a layer that has a picture of a beaver, and I can't see the individual lines that I drew. When I used CS5 recently I had no such problem.

There is a setting that I can change or does have something to do with the news of CS6?

If you want to see a 'sex' for each object changes the display of the layer panel by choosing Options from the Panel menu in the layer panel. In the lower part of the Panel options window, make sure that groups and objects are both checked. You will then see a 'sex' for each object.

I quote 'sex' here because technically they aren't the layers. They resemble layers and are in the layer panel, but they do not exactly allow options that allow actual layers. You can select and move objects in the Panel this way however.

  • Advice on the use of the tool pen to create the glow effect?

I'm very new to the pen tool. I want to draw a shape on top of my rectangle and lower the opacity to make it resemble an on top shining as something that uses Apple.

I place my first anchor point in the upper left corner, move the pen to the center of the rectangle (according to what hear me smart guides) and drag the handle to the right, then draw the anchor point in the upper-right and she finished on the other side, finally, I close the path by clicking on the first anchor point.

1.) is the right way to use the pen tool?

2.) can anyone suggest anything else I could do this better effect watching?

    Thanks in advance!Screen shot 2012-04-15 at 6.37.52 PM.png

    Kat,

1.) are there like Photoshop blend modes has which can make it look better?

(2.) that my use of the sound correct pen tool?

    (1) you can create a copy of the path, change the H (eight) with a (much) smaller value in the transformation with the chosen reference Point upper center panel/palette, change the colors, or both, as you wish and oppose > blend > make.

    (2) Yes.

  • Photoshop CC - can't control + click to select a different form while using the tool pen?

I used the tool constantly feather in photoshop cs6 and would often use control + left click to select a different shape using the pen tool.

Now, I have to switch to the move tool to select another layer? Why this feature has been removed / changed?

Difficulty: After sleeping more, here is how I fixed it:

The new Direct Select tool by default is set to layers "active." Switch to "all layers".
