Apex 4.2 with Oracle HTTP Server 12 c?

So, we have already implemented Oracle APEX with Oracle HTTP Server 11g Oracle WebTier utility. These are all works well.

However, we wanted to try with the latest version of the stand-alone version of HTTP. So, we installed and configured the server for HTTP from Oracle 12 c (Stand Alone). However, we do not find instructions for things like where to copy the images, which dads.conf to edit etc. The current facilities seem to be oriented with the older, version 11g.

Someone at - it a source for instructions to update configuration APEX with Oracle HTTP Server 12 c?

Thank you

    Thank you!

I figured it out on my own - the doc has a section "6.5.4 configuration Support for static file" which basically said yes, it is now supported for static files, then a "see also:" link to the dads.conf section, that I'm not good enough to see there are now 2 new parameters in your dads config file...  All is ready!  It works!  YAY!

  • Oracle HTTP server with multiple apex bodies

It is possible to have an Oracle HTTP Server installed in a different machine.
and apex mounted databases in the different machines?

Or it would be necessary to install a HTTP server for each instance of APEX?

    For example:

    Machine 3
    ___DATABASE A
    Machine 1 to Machine 2.
    BROWSER-> HTTP SERVER.
    ------Machine 4

Yes, you can set several dads - pointing to bodies different machines/APEX - in a case of OSH.

  • Huge success in Oracle HTTP Server for Application Apex

    Hello

I've been running several applications in the same database in Apex 4.2.2. I use Oracle HTTP Server 10.2 for web access to customers. I have 4000 users in systems, but at the same time can be logged 500. Server Web is in DMZ, and database server's internal network. We notice that we conduct page huge hit in the system, very high. I noticed a client IP had 44 000 visits in one day and on a daily basis any number of access is 500 000 to 600 000. That is for me, it's huge. This huge success makes the firewall close the connection to the web server. This disturbance is causing the company a lot.

I would like to know how Oracle Apex communicates with the web server and clients, is the mechanism of Oracle Apex which causes this huge success or is it for external cause, such as a DoS attack or something like that. I'm really exhausted with it. Don't know what to do. Help, please

    Hasan Al Mamun

Hi I have kind of a resolved / by past the problem. Now, I have no connection to the bottom of the problem. The problem was. Subdomain (say myapp.testlab.com) of my app had a single IP address, router treated the huge success of the same IP address as a threat and that's why router blocked the real IP of this subdomain. We did it, we asked our dns provider to add a few more (5) IPs for the same subdomain. Now, as dns selects a single IP among 5 fps in alternating single IP does not get as much success as to be blocked by the router. It works better now. Cordially Hasan Al Mamun

  • Do we need Oracle HTTP server to host Oracle Apex?

We are completely new to this Oracle Apex.

Wanted to know the license part of it, before you enter into it.

I guess Oracle Apex is free because it comes with the Oracle database license.

    (1) do we need a sort of HTTP server to host the Summit on the browser?

    (2) any HTTP server will be working with Oracle Apex?

    (3) any other free Oracle tool that we can use instead of licensing Oracle HTTP server for this Summit?

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance for the gurus here.

OHS is covered by the license of DB if OHS is running on the same server. See the post on Joel and the document it connects to: + {message identifier: = 9256804} +.

  • Oracle HTTP server on a different machine than the database and APEX

    Hi guys!

I wonder if its possible to have Oracle HTTP Server installed on a different machine then the database and APEX?

    With respect,

    PsmakR

    Hello

exactly. Details have recently been examined here: {: identifier of the thread = 1955437}. You will find the link to the license document it.
But OSH is not only registered with the database. If you have an OAS running somewhere, you can use the HTTP server that comes with this instance for APEX as well.

Another option could be the APEX listener that runs on (almost) any J2EE container. The officially supported include the embedded GlassFish and the Open Source Edition of GlassFish, who both don't need no extra license.

  • What do need me for Oracle Http Server with mod_plsql on 64-bit Linux?

I try to get ESS on a linux machine but I'm not sure that I install the correct thing!

Currently I have a windows box running the server applications of 10 GB, but everything seems to have changed since then and there seems to be many different things to do with the Fusion Middleware and stuff. I tried to find an overview in English clear of what are all these things, but all I can find is a lot of marketing buzz words!

All in need in order to run the ESO with the mod_plsql so I can run my apex application. I would be greatfull if someone could point me in the right direction for what I have to install!

The box, that is happening is a CentOS Linux 64-bit computer. I download and installed Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g Rel (10.3.3) 1 by using the generic installer for the 64-bit java, but there seems to be no http server although they say there is! Most likely I'm doing something wrong but Setup is completed successfully, but nothing is running on port 7001.

Do I really need the WebTier instead? What is the best solution for the execution of ESO with mod_plsql? I need the installation of WebLogic as well? Unfortunately, I'm pretty new to Linux as well which is not helping!

    Thanks for any help

    Robert

    Well, you have two options:
-Use the distro of BCI WebTier utility SST. (Use 11.1.1.3 version, you need the two distributions 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.3)
-Use the distro DB Companion Disk OSH.

WebLogic Server is a Java EE application with an HTTP server included, but not intended to be used in replacement of OHS/Apache. It does not mod support

  • Allow only specific APEX App via Oracle Http Server

    Hello

I have some difficulty to fix my Oracle APEX + Oracle HTTP Server environment.

There are currently about 20 Applications that run on the server of the APEX, and I want to publish 2 of them outdoors for the users.

I added a certificate in Oracle Wallet Manager to ensure the OHS, but I can access all Applications on the server of the APEX by changing just the suffix of the ID of the Application.

How can allow only two applications accessible via internet?

    Concerning

    Hello

Well, need us so much more information.

You can edit a zip file of all the relevant configuration file, or you could send them to me at [email protected].

Then I take a look and we can post the result here.

It should also be completely specified URL that you use since you seem so use the virtual hosting.

    Thank you
Please let me know if Oracle HTTP Server are FREE with the Oracle database.

If this is a related issue of license then better check with the sales representative in your area. Oracle sales team can only confirm the details.

As far as I know if a product is delivered in another product then product main price includes the price of the licenses for all.

Example: OEM license purchase, will include the license for Weblogic.

  • ADR on glassfish server VS mod_pls on oracle http server?

Which of the two is better for Apex - running

Don't know on what basis 'someone' advised to do (migration of ADR to OHS)?

As the Oracle Documentation says otherwise in their comparison of the options of the web listener.

    Reference: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/install.50/e39144/overview.htm#HTMIG29325

Also, I found the trend of migration of OSH to ADR and not otherwise.

    Reference:

Personally, I prefer ADR on OSH as a server option for Oracle APEX Web and I had included in my profile of Oracle Database Developer's Choice Award 2015 for which I was chosen as a finalist in the category Oracle APEX and ADR.

    Thank you very much

    Florin,

Make sure that you use the relevent to instructions for your version.
If you use 4.0 - you probably want the same script - with use of APEX_040000 appropriate.

See the steps of INSTALLATION of document ITEM.

  • Location of Oracle HTTP Server download link

    Hello

I need to find a version of Oracle HTTP Server to be installed on an Oracle database 10.1.0, to support an APEX 3.2 installation. I can't seem to find a link where to download this component, as it will be deep in the "archived" sections of OTN somewhere - someone can help me out with the link please?

I guess I can just download the latest OSH v11 and hope that it will work - or can I?

    Thanks in advance

    I think Yes.

An entire book would be download, unzip and burn to a DVD.

  • Reinstall on a different platform Oracle http server

    Hello

We are currently running APEX on Sun boxes. I have a need to run the server of http to Oracle on a Windows machine. Is there documentation on how to do it? I looked, but I couldn't find anything that was useful.

    Thank you

Process of installation is very easy, it should start installing with Oracle Database 10g companion CD, select Oracle HTTP Server and go step by step with the wizard.
You can read the documentation on HTTP Server Administrator Guide here http://www.stanford.edu/dept/itss/docs/oracle/10g/server.101/b12255/toc.htm

    Friends,

Hope you can help me with a problem installing of Apex.

Can someone provide a link to where I could find it?
