I have oracle 11g express edition
Windows xp
Oracle express 4.2.1 application
After reading the installation instructions,
I connect as sysdba SQL.
and try to issue the following command

SQL> conn sys as sysdba
Enter password:
Connected.
SQL> @E:\APEX\apex_4.2.1_en\apex\appins.sql users users temp /i/

but it gives the following message

How to fix?

OK, so it's question, the problem persists in this two proven pitchers, Nova, Apex. Notification buttons (Tesla Launcher - Nova, Apex Apex notifier) are not at all. 4.2 APEX performance problem

Hi all

We are facing the problem of performance when we are by selecting one of the underside of responsibility that rests in the Organization as if we select APEX_01 Reporting ALL then in this case, we can see all the organization such as ETL, BRN, CHICKEN ect in home page, but I am facing performance problem when it forms that select area of responsibility to the home page. Please indicate how to check this page's performance in the APEX and also advise how to solve this problem.

This request seems to be missing a join. An obligation to use DISTINCT in application code usually indicates that there is something seriously wrong with the data model or query...

APEX 5 - problem with computations in applications.

Hi experts,
I am facing some problems with calculations and expressions too.
I have two EPS. Dev and Prod (4.2). I upgraded to 5.0 apex in the dev environment.
After a few don't test with applications no DEV I have problem with computation - nothing is changed in both of the approx.
For example: I use point computation to only display the sysdate value - 10 after a label. (some info default filtering).
On prod ENV everything works OK - value appears when I reference by + ITEM.
This same article on DEV invariably shows nothing. There is no error in the LOG.
PROD:
TEST
Is there a difference any to save the session state for items? Before that the regions are displayed?
I have same problem when I want to use certain conditions to show some ITEMS/REGIONS/DA... where some ITEM_VALUE is used.
I tried the same thing on apex.oracle.com.
For EXAMPLE:
Some button should only appear if a page element value is not zero (: P_ITEM is not null). (I tried DA or simple condition - screenshot below)
He worked in APEX 4.2 but not in 5.0 for me.
If I use PL/SQL Expression and type "1 = 1", everything works. But I need the old feature where I can use the comparison of point values page.
This does not work for me in the Page load DA. It has never triggered.
I work with APEX about 6 years, but I have never seen this.

I don't know if I understand your DA it checks the P1_TEST "is not zero", but this element of the page is set anywhere on your page, then this condition DA won't be ever true. For your calculation, the calculated value is correctly displayed next to your agenda of the P1_DATE_FROM page. I'll have a look at what is happening with 'SQL Expression. But please be aware that this is just a warning in the Page Designer, you will still be able to use "SQL Expression".

APEX 5 - problem with static files after Installation

I've updated my development environment of APEX 4.2.6 to 5.0.0 with REST Data Services.
Whenever I enter the Administration Services login page or run my application, I get the following message:

There are problems with the configuration of static files in your environment. Please see the section "Configuration static file Support" in the Guide of the Installation Application Express.

In Administration Services everything looks and works very well, but in my application there is no static file from the workspace loaded (for example CSS-files, images,...). The links "broken" to these files are translated in this way:

After some research, I discovered, that static files normally appear in my workspace in the Administration Services - I can access it and download it. BUT: When I compared the scheme with APEX_050000 APEX_040200 in the database, I discovered, that static files were not copied to the new instance (in the view APEX_WORKSPACE_FILES are just a few files...).
Does anyone have an idea what the reason would be so?

The file Support static configuration to demand Express Installation Guide (using ORDS) says:

RESTful Services configuration is necessary when upgrading to Oracle Application Express version 5.0 and RESTful Services were not configured in a previous version.

I have created two pages with graphics and classic report.
Then I bound the two pages (page 1-2).
When I switch to the page1 page2,
Invalid set of rows requested, the data source of the report have been changed.
I created the branch with the submit - pagination to reset, but the above error comes when I load the page.
How to solve this problem?

How to move from page 2 to page 1? Link in the navigation bar?

Who is page1 and page2? see: graphics and classic report.

If you move the navigation bar links, please modify the shared components navigation bar, and set the flag of pagination to reset for the navigation bar appropriate.

Admin apex EDITION problem a user to the workspace with administrator privileges

I use Apex 4.2 and 11.2 XE on a Windows Server. Many applications work well.
Today I went to http:// (server) / apex/apex_admin to add a few users in a workspace (Workspace management / manage developers and users)
When I created a user when the user is Administrator = No and when the user is developer = no, everything worked fine. When I subsequently edit the user, everything is fine.
When I created a user when the user is Administrator = Yes and when the user is developer = Yes, the user was created without problem, but later I couldn't edit this user. When I clicked on the pencil to the user icon I got the error message: ORA-01841: (full) year must be understood between-4713 and 9999 and not be 0

At no point in the standard user or administrator / developer user I enter anything in the DEFAULT DATE FORMAT field.
As part of my diagnosis, I looked at the WWV_FLOW_FND_USER. Field DEFAULT_DATE_FORMAT. I have confirmed that it is null for all users.
Could the UI for Apex_Admin also be written to another table somehow? Just trying to think this through.
I don't know how I could have created this problem by using the user interface. How can I modify this to the administrator / Developer users, I need to create? I need to edit the table directly? I hesitate to do so.

In Instance Apex Manager, under security settings, the maximum lifetime of password you defined is so high that when you add the last password change the number of days, it's beyond 31/12/9999 (the maximum date allowed in the Oracle database). Reduce this to a reasonable value (even 10,000 days would be nice).

There is a button that sends the page and a process that is called when submitted.
The code I use in the presentation is

Several Apex listeners on a single server with apex-config problems. XML
I use 0C4J to deploy apex on a windows server. I want to be able to have multiple instances operating OC4J pointing to different databases. I read through the documents and messages of the forum and that seems simple enough.

I have an instance running at E:\OC4J and works very well. I added a second OC4J instance at E:\OC4J2. I rebuilt and redeploy the apex.war file after editing the web.xml file to specify a new location for apex - config.Xml. I try to specify the directory config as E:\OC4J2\config but can't seem to get the right syntax, because it keeps picking up the default OC4J instance uses.

E Business at Apex authentication problem - loop redirection?
Hi people,

I have a couple of environments EBS (11i) who throw functions Apex using white paper successfully delivered Cabot Consulting (extension of the Oracle Applications). I created a new responsibility, the menu and function on our direct environment today that does exactly what suggests the white paper:

1. send a cookie to the browser with the username and a hash generated.
2 apex authentication verifies this cookie, and if it does not exist, a login page appears.
3. IF the cookie exists, it takes the user name and validates the hash, then redirect to Page 1 of my application.

However, I saw that the first time you click on the EBS function, Firefox throws a "Redirect Loop" error, Internet Explorer gives rather an error 404 useless. If I click my back button to return to the Oracle Applications and click the function again, this time it works.

I can't release it on my userbase if it is possible to redirect the questions!

Someone got experience this and is there a verified solution to solve the problem? I'm happy to post any code you want.

Pete - hard to say without seeing it. If you can put a model on apex.oracle.com, I can check it out. Make sure that the login page has Page is the public security setting.

APEX security problem
I use for my APEX pension applications, but it does not work. I created an end user with the option turned on Yes to force to change passoword on first use. But that did not work and the user was able to connect default password without obligation appeared. There is also no option that appears to the user to change his passowrd anytime. Even if I lock the user he or she still ables to connect. Please help to let me know what the problem is.
As the administrator of the workspace, go to home > Administration > manage Services > Set Workspace Preferences and under the control of account logon , see the radio labeled group the account Expiration and locking:. Select enable and apply the changes.

The first step that goes wron is the apex_epg_config.sql script.
You do not need to add apex in the directory, then try:
```
 @apex_epg_config.sql D:\app\paul.hartup\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1
```
and also you need to set the http port after that since she's probably not due to the failure of the first step.

Urgent Production APEX installation problem
HI -.

I had to install APEX my databases from business Dev, QA and Production. Installs it first three took place without a hitch. I installed APEX on Production over the weekend, and when I imported my apps everything was going well. I then went to run the application on the machine of the prd and I noticed that my action of interactive report button did not work. I then opened Application Buiilder to display the page. When I arrived at the page I could not see anything in the Page Rendiering, Page processing components and shared areas. I checked the Apache error log and found a bunch of these errors:
I checked all of my apex objects are valid in the database. You're help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that you have not correctly mapped to the directory of the East?

For example, from a browser, you can go to: :/i/libraries/jquery-ui/1.8/ui/minified/jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js? He would like the file see you at: http://apex.oracle.com/i/libraries/jquery-ui/1.8/ui/minified/jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js.

If you cannot open this file in your browser, then something will not only with where you've placed the images directory on your Web server and how you have mapped to the virtual directory.

Apex installation problem: / pls/apex/apex_admin = > HTTP 404
Install new to Apex in Oracle 10.2.0.4 3.2.1, using Oracle HTTP Server Oracle AS 10 g 3. Not yet applied the patch.

When I navigate to http://{host:port}/pls/apex/apex_admin to create a workspace, I get an HTTP 404 error.

In the Apache log, I get: [Thu Aug 27 13:16:39 2009] [error] [client #] [ecid: #] mod_plsql: / pls/apex/apex_admin HTTP-404 \napex_admin: PROCEDURE is not EXIST\n

There is a public synonym APEX_ADMIN, but this points to APEX_030200.APEX_ADMIN, which does not exist. Should APEX_030200 have a private synonym called APEX_ADMIN?

I ran apxchpwd.sql.

I know that the DAD is working, because navigate to http://{host:port}/pls/apex Gets an HTTP 302, with a page saying "ERR - 1014 Application not found. ';

Can anyone help? What went wrong with the installation? Should I reinstall?
