App is load/absent in the Simulator

I am new to Blackberry programming and that you have just installed the JDE version 6 with the 9700 Simulator. I tried to launch the sample helloworld application and it present or run in the Simulator. Even if I load the application on the file menu, nothing. The Simulator launches as planned and I can navigate through the menus. If I stop the app in the JDE with stop sign, a window entitled "C:\NoSuchFile.java" and it is said in the source code file is not available. Any ideas?

It has been marked as active. I went with the Eclipse/RIM plug on the way and it works fine, then we can close this question, as far as I'm concerned.

Make sure that the index.html file referenced in your config.xml file has exactly the same name as the index.html file in your application.  You list all of your files with the 'I' for 'Index.xml' in capital letters.  The Tablet OS applies a case-sensitive file system.

If this is the case, I suggest rename Index.html index.html, reconditioning and try again.

  • BlackBerry Webworks App does not work on the Simulator after conditioning

Hi everyone, I ' ve developed a webworks app and everything works fine on the emulator ripple, but when I load it on the Blackberry (9860 and 9930) Simulator... it loads successfully (I can see the icon, etc.), but when I open it, appears only a WHITE SCREEN...!

I thought it was the Blackberry Simulator, so I changed it (does not work)

I thought it was my application, so I leave my fair "index.html" with a BLACK background (does not work)

the Validation of my config.xml file is fine, and I have not any idea on how to solve this problem!

    Help please, thank you

Hello, thanks for people, but I already solved this problem, I had a div with POSITION: FIXED; and apparently WebWorks does not support this CSS property, so I removed it and everything works fine. Thanks in any case. Concerning

  • App works perfectly well on the Simulator (using all modes) and peripheral when z10 in the communiqué of the execution and debug mode. But creates a 'SIGSEGV = 1 fltno = 11 ip = 781722ec error code' when the term is used.

My application switches between two documents qml is a home page, and the other is actually a video player. Whenever I press the button to go to the video page, it crashes on my z10 and generates the error «terminated code SIGSEGV = 1 fltno = 11 781722ec = ip...» ". But on the Simulator, it works (without of course plays video). When I use the race version and the debug mode, it works perfectly on my z10.

This problem occurs frequently when I add a new code element. First of all, it happened when I added a scrollview and container, and it's happening now again when a defined a struct in the header file.  It would be nice to ignore this problem? or y at - it some deeper underlying problem which is the cause

Just tried, I received the SIGSEGV error too, it looks like parent to AbstractPane fixed it.

  • App won't start with the Simulator

    Hello

I met a lot of mistakes trying to get that deployed on the Simulator, most of them addressed by other posters.  I use the 0.9.3 beta version of the Simulator.

However, now I have this problem that I can not find the answer.

Flash Builder will not launch the application.  The following text is displayed in the console:

    Using the default icon: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.2\bin\... \samples\icons\blackberry-Tablet-default-Icon.png
    Package created: C:\Development\Mobile\PuzzletsPlaybook/PromoAppPlaybook.bar
    Picked up JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS:-Xmx1024M
    Sending request installation and launch...
Error: Username or password is invalid or not specified or time on the device is out of sync

I tried this FB parameter to use the Playbook password and not to use it, and fail both ways.

How can I fix it?  The Playbook must have a pw but I can't start my application.

Also, I use VM Player as host of Simulator, the Playbook should be run in the Simulator or is it launched by FB?  I tried two ways does not.

    Thank you!

    Hey,.

It seems that you are using the latest sim but more old SDK. try to update your Tablet OS SDK of AIR and then try to deploy again. using the versions do not match led to mistakes in the past.

Here is the link to the latest SDK:

  • Send SMS to the Simulator

    Hey,.

I have an application that uses 10.3 specfic API and I need to send SMS messages to the device Simulator to test some features, but as far as I can see the Simulator controller is not supported for this... Is there something I can do? I only have one device that I use my driver all day and I don't want to use the sdk gold on it

    Thank you

    Daniel

The problem is that the sms app is not installed in the Simulator, if you need a device to do everything related to sms.

  • My app in the simulator of loading

Complete n00b question - how to run my code in the Simulator?

I use the JDE and I have the program "hello world" just one of the examples.

I create the project and press F5. The Simulator starts and loads of Blackberry OS.

    Now how my code?

    I tried the following:

-File--> load Java program...--> open my .cod file. No effect.

-Find my program in the list of applications. He isn't here.

-throw a NullPointerException in my main() function. Nothing.

Did I miss something blatantly obvious? Thank you.

Open your JDE application and select from the menu: build together and Run

Find the icon for your application among the other icons on the screen of the Simulator and run your application.

If you have not set the app to your app icon - there is a simple square icon for your application. Take a look at app names appear under the icons. And select your application.

  • Cannot debug/run app in the Simulator from IDE update

I did the error has earlier to upgrade my momentics IDE to 2.1, and since I'm unable to successfully launch my app to the market or debugging in a simulator. The application loaded on the Simulator and I can run from the home screen by pressing on it, but while the splash screen is displayed, the application stops immediately when launched from the IDE. There is no error message displayed in the console, the application stops just immediately after the splash screen is displayed.

I tried with five simulators which worked very well all the way from 1.0.x to 10.3.x. I am lucky to have an old copy of the 10.1.0 IDE still on my system and I can run and debug my app very well using this one, but I would really be able to use the IDE to 2.1 again. It worked fine on the 2.0 IDE too, these problems just started to happen after the 2.1 IDE update.

Has anyone else seen this, and if so, have you found a solution?

OK, never mind. I accidentally upgraded my old working version of the IDE too all by improving the SDK (I forgot that it updates too the IDE) and panicked because then it would be not too run or debug from the IDE. I solved it but by uninstalling the TWO versions of the IDE, then put it back up from scratch. After the clean install, everything is fine and I can run and debug fine with 2.1 IDE.

I guess it's something messed up with the upgrade process. A fixed.

  • App installs in the Simulator, but will not work

I installed a (bar) AIR app in the Simulator (currently using the default icon), but when you click on it, it does nothing.

I tried various sovereign wealth funds including extremely simple without success.

I tried in the card Sim PlayBook. and the card Sim BB10. The only difference in the latter case, it is only after you click the icon, the screen clears before returning to the original state after doing nothing with my application.

    I tried without success AIR 2.5 - 3.2.

In the command line, I see: blackberry-airpackager version 1.6

I use Vmware 4.0.4 (after many hours of Assembly and disassembly of the different versions of Vmware)

It has many old Posts with suggestions on how to package and install AIR applications built in Flash Pro. for use with the PlayBook.

What is the most recent and correct for PB so BB10 method?

    Thanks to steve_web:

The problem was that I try to run the SDK/bin folder command line package manager and using full path of the directory for files SWF and xml of th.

As a result, there is a similar directory structure in the folder of the air in the BAR.

I did that because I couldn't have the classpath working to run Packager outside the bin folder.

I got it finally work when I realized it was WAY not the CLASSPATH that needed to be added.

In short... the app worked, but it didn't load the swf file because he was in a series of subfolders in the BAR.

    Thanks Steve!

  • Can deploy app in the Simulator, but not to the device

Sorry about this newbie question, but how is it that a simple HelloWorld application compiled in Eclipse runs just fine on the Simulator, but cannot be installed on a 8320 Curve by the Blackberry Desktop Software?

I use the latest version at all.  The message returned by the desktop software is:

! There was an error importing files.
No additional applications can be found. Your file can
contain applications that already exist in the list of applications,
are not compatible for your device, or errors.

However, I am able to deploy the application on the handset using the command line tool:

    C:\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde\vmTools\JavaLoader.exe -usb load \workspace\HelloTest\deliverables\Standard\5.0.0\HelloTest.jad

This installs the application, which then runs correctly on the device.  I can then reload the list of app on the Blackberry Desktop Software tool and it shows HelloTest, but under the properties of the Application-> dependencies it says:

    "Application not available (net_rim_cldc).

It seems that some dependence crept in the generation of the application and that confuses the desktop tool.  The curve is running 4.5 OS.

Should I just throw this office tool, or how can I clean the application so that it installs correctly?  Obviously, this is just foreplay before building a much broader application, and I wish I had these little glitches will hamper ASASP.

    Thanks for any help!

You should be able to download a plugin 4.5 on the site to update. Go to "help > install new software" to open the screen of software available. If you have not yet done so, add the updated BlackBerry site to your Eclipse configuration:

    1. Click on "available software Sites.
    2. Click on the button 'Add '.
    3. Enter a name such as 'BlackBerry update location' and set the location http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.5/java
    4. Click OK, then OK again to return to the screen of the software available

The 'working with' menu drop-down, select the location of BlackBerry Update (or whatever you named it). Expand the BlackBerry Java plug-in category and you should be able to select an appropriate plug-in version.

  • Project does not load in the Simulator.

I worked on a project for the last month, and it was working fine. Today, I did a cleanup on my computer, and the project is no longer in the Simulator. I tried to create a new project and copy the existing files on him. I also deleted all the projects I did, most of which are in a separate workspace. All the old projects are coming back very well. However, I'm working on that does not work. Also I am not able to find the project and load it using file - Java project.

I guess that some property was changed so that the project is not included in the term. Anyone know how to get this back up and functional? I have a correct entry point (public Shared Sub main (String [] args)).

I confirmed that the .cod .cso, .debug and .jar files are not transferred to the directory of Simulator for the project which does not, even if they are transferred to all other projects.

I'm running to Eclipse, on a Vista system. I want to emphasize that everything is correctly until I ran a cleaning with Eclipse app open. Most likely, a tmp file that was used has been deleted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did apply to a class; I implemented Persistable.

  • 4.2 portage app to Storm, rebuilt in JDE 4.7, does not appear in the Simulator

I have a 4.2.1 application that needs the entire screen of the storm and would not run in compatibility mode even when (did even not appear in apps), so I thought I have to rebuild for storm and then perhaps reprogram how he feels entry directional.

For starters, I rebuilt the same code using the JDE 4.7 and said: "GO!"  The simulator of the storm came, but my application was not found.

I tried to launch the Simulator independently and using 'Load Java application' and in charge of the application but the icon does not appear.

Is so different storm of 'ball' berries that I can't even get my app to appear without doing something special?  He appears and works fine in all other simulators.

    Thank you.

    This is!  Thank you
