• Urgent: how to create a shortcut with a relative path?

  I put a set of files and folders nested on a server on a network location.  (Use of office machines Vista; I don't know that the server is running.  The files are a text file and two Office 2007 files).  Users will copy this set-up files on their computer (there is a program of VBA macro in a Word document, they need).  They need tomorrow (Friday) and the shortcut path gives me fits!

  The hierarchy looks like:

  MainDir
  File.txt
  SubDir1
  Shortcut to the Word file
  SubDir2
  Word file
  Excel file

  I don't think even the paths associated with the shortcut until I looked a little deeper.  Because I put all the files and folders together on my computer, when I did a drag - move in the folder on the server, the target properties and start in the shortcut always pointed at my computer!  So now, I'm afraid that a user copy this on their machine will have a shortcut that points to ~ my ~ computer, instead of the file on their computer.

  I deleted the shortcut located on the server and creates a new one from the Word file in the directory on the server.  Better - I think - but it still points to the location of the server.  And it is even more likely that, when the user opens the shortcut, it will try to open the file on the server, vice the file on their computer.

  How can I create a shortcut to this Word file that will pick up the relative path from around where to reside?  I can just click > properties and change the target and start in paths?  Or do I need a VBScript or VBA?

  I have to get this done fast!  A kick - in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

  It is not possible to create a shortcut with a relative path.

  You can try the following allows to bypass and check if it helps:

  Create a shortcut to cmd.exe running the start command to open the current directory. Then set the MDC in the

  The shortcut properties.

  a. make a new shortcut to: cmd.exe /c start.

  b. now right-click on it and get the properties of the shortcut (shortcut tab).

  c. the shortened full path must have been set to this:

  %windir%\system32\CMD.exe /c start.

  d. set the directory of "start in" (i.e. DLG) to be a relative path:

  (Example for a shortcut on the desktop)

  ...\SendTo

  e. click on "change icon...". "and set" look for icons in this file: "to: %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll and press ENTER.

  Standard folder icon will probably be in the lower right.

  f. now you can copy this file and simply change the "start in:" to make new related shortcuts directory.

  NOTE: The above steps are just an example, so try this at your own risk. And check if it works.

  My company uses Dreamweaver to publish a Handbook of 'owner '. The author's site uses static HTML and Dreamweaver CS6 to create its content. There are about 100 web pages. We are looking to add a search function for all pages can search the entire site for key words of text.

  Bootstrap is already part of the DW CC 2015. Dreamweaver currently has no facility to work directly with SASS, or LESS than elsewhere... You will need to use a pre-processor like Prepros: compile, Sass, CoffeeScript and much more on the direct browser updating.

  The idea is to get you your files/folders of DW in Prepros and it will 'listen' for when your file SASS is added or changed and write to the file .css for you.

  I did some reading and watching YouTube videos on how to go about this process and it is rather confusing. Does anyone have a description on how will this process for Dreamweaver 2014.1.1 the 'proper' way to build/system of registration of the user to add to their Web sites via? Below my "sync settings" at the top right I don't have that CSS designer, files, active, Insert, checked. In all the video tutorials I looked there was much more so than :-(

  In a batch which I read and watched, I feel that I have a generator that is "test server" PHP Script for a database. That being the case, Adobe has all - or any specific PHP software suggestions - as to what we should use with Dreamweaver? I guess we certainly with regard to the registration of the user due to the gross amount of the names/emails/etc., that can be collected.

  I know I'm wide enough right now, but I'm looking to be guided in the right direction. I know insert a simple model of the user registration system would be easy, but I don't know if this is how it's done for everyone in this case. As well, I'd like to at least make a unique in a certain measurement, that's why I love Dreamweaver!. It's my third site and I'm looking to improve each!

  DW alone cannot do that.

  Simple way:

  If your hosting plan gives you a server C-Panel, you can connect to it and create password on your server folders.  A folder with the same user name and password.

  If that fails, contact your webhost and ask their password protect a folder on your server for you.

  Can't answer your question unless you're somewhat specific as to what exactly you want to edit in WP.

  If you are talking about writing content in DW and then sticking in WP then it is possible, but the amount of work required is so you will better write the content yourself in WP editor itself.

  However, if you are talking about tweaking WP theme then Yes you can do as much as your experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and php is at a very advanced stage.  Whereas as you explore your options, I suggest stick to WP exclusively or stick to DW exclusively until you are sufficiently confident to try something different without bodging anything on your site.

  If you want an introduction to these things, I suggest looking for the power of David tutorial in which he discusses in detail.

  I don't know why you thought a link to your site is useful for this discussion.  Some moderators would consider it as spam.

  I just tested the behavior of Dreamweaver CC open in browser window. It creates slightly different Dreamweaver CS6 code, but it works correctly. This is what is created in the HTML code:

  In regards to the _self and _blank not working do not, I find no problem with how Dreamweaver CC manages them.

  However, if you feel happier working with Dreamweaver CS6, you can download it from the following page:

  I tried the steps described. I installed the ManifestMaker.mxp in the extension manager for CS6 via the link above. I went to the file extension and package ZXP, as suggested. When I did, I got a dialog box open.

  Mxi is the only file option. The file that was installed in Dreamweaver CS6 is .mxp. So, who did not.

  However, after I looked around, I found 'Convert MXP Extension to ZXP', under Tools.

  It worked. I was able to install the .zxp file in the extension manager for Dreamweaver CC.

  We create a game to run on the mac desktop.

  The game was built using Flash Builder 4.6 on the pc, using Air 3.5 (using Air 3.4 until a few days ago)

  I create the SWF on the pc and then copy it on in the mac mini - (which was running OSX 10.7 - updated updated yesterday at 10.8 in case that was the problem)

  Once on the mac mini - using the 3.5 SDK for mac Air to build the .app using ADT

  / Users/macmini2/Documents/AdobeAIRSDK/bin/adt - package - keystore MM2.p12 - storepass PASSWORD - pkcs12-bundle stores target "... / release/Megaplex2.app"Main - app.xml Main.swf AppIconsForPublish data.

  When I run the file final app on the mac mini, it works without any problem. (OSX 10.7 and 10.8)
  I also tested this app on a macbook pro with no problems (OSX 10.7)

  The results of problem when we send the app to our distribution partner. They report that the application fails to start:

  On my Mac Mini (10.6), it never seems to. On two of the iMacs from our Mac Tester, the application icon appears in the dock momentarily, before closing then (no window appeared).

  OK, looks like we found the problem.

  When I was zipping the app to send them, I was the Zipper on the PC.
  Turn, it is the cause.

  If I zip on the mac using its "compress" function and send the zip, it seems to work ok.
