    (1) is it possible now to know what and how the other session was using this table?
    (2) how to avoid this error?

    Pedro.

If you're on 11 GR 1 material you can issue:

    alter session set ddl_lock_timeout=60

    DDL_LOCK_TIMEOUT
    Property Description
    Parameter type Integer
    Default value 0
    Modifiable ALTER SESSION
Range of values 0 to 1,000,000 (in seconds)
    Basic No

DDL_LOCK_TIMEOUT indicates how long between DDL statements patient in a DML lock queue. The default value of zero indicates a State of NOWAIT. The maximum value of 1 000 000 seconds will result in the DDL statement for still pending to acquire a DML lock.
If a lock is not acquired before the expiration of the period time, then an error is returned

Otherwise, you can create a procedure to intercept the error ORA-00054 and try again

  • Collects statistics for tables using jobs in Oracle 11 G 11.2.0.1.0?

    Hello

My query is regarding the collection of statistics for tables.

My Version of Oracle DB is:
    BANNER
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production
AMT for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

In versions of prior oracle db, we used to schedule tasks to run on a daily basis for collecting statistics. Especially for tables that are frequent and huge inserts.

I read that in 11g stats for all of the schema on a database are automatically make every night jobs. I checked these jobs and I see that they are running on a monthly basis [joined query]. This job is enabled and is scheduled to run monthly.
This means that my diagram will be analyzed on a monthly basis. My understanding is correct?

Can I still plan jobs to collect statistics for specific tables on every week? This will diminish the performance?
We expect 100000 documents to insert on a daily basis.

I have a sequence is created using the above script. Our night jobs using these sequences, as well on the first day that he used 1,2,3,4,5 and the next day has begun with 21,22,23... and so on

I understand that's the setting of the CACHE.

    Here are the questions

For three days, it summer jump between the two figures.

The sequence will never decide to use these skipped numbers? (by above example 6 to 20), if etc. of circumstance and is it possible to avoid it?

But our PROD servers are running in exclusive mode, which means the sequence will keep producing in ascending order No?... I don't bother about the shortcomings.

Yes there is no reason why it is not ordered if you are single-instance. But if you want to be sure, just put the ORDER in the sequence. There is no overload when you are single-instance.

  • Management of an APEX with walk-APIs - it APEX runtime environment?

    People,

    APEX Version: 4.2.1
    Database EE 11 GR 2
    Listener: EPG

TLDR: Go at the end of the question for this thread in bold.

I work in an environment where we have maintained by Oracle Forms applications and Oracle APEX on a database only internal production data. We want to take a redacted together these data (PII or personal Identifiable Information removal) and some applications of the APEX and put them on a separate external server for public consumption. The internal production environment is running APEX with the runtime and development environments. The external server runs APEX with just the execution with the query, only the applications environment. While two of the external applications are public applications without authentication (both work very well), there is an application that will have a relatively small number of users who authenticate with the application to access more detailed information than the general public. Still no PII or something like that, a little more information. Users are users of workspace APEX. The three applications are in the same workspace.

I have to assume that I'm not the only person with the above configuration, but I had a moment difficult to work right. Although the documentation does not have the API, it is not always clear which API you would use and why.

For example, in the internal production environment when a user connects to the authenticated application, they get access to the application (if they are in the right group) or they get an error page indicating that they have no access to the application. In the external runtime application that they will always have a ' ORA-06550: line 4, column 55: PLS-00201: identifier ' WWV_FLOW_F4000_PLUGINS.» ' INTERNAL_4155_SESSION_SENTRY' must be declared ORA-06550: line 4, column 1: PL/SQL: statement ignored ' error, which "sort of" makes sense because the application referenced (4155) is part of the installation of development and is not included as part of the runtime install only (either by the way, this seems like a bit of an oversight on the part of the APEX team). It is pretty obvious that the export and import of the workspace (and its users) 'something' got zero and some type of password reset is requested. Of course, end-user password reset request is not included in a single installation of runtime...

So, off to the API to see if I can "reset" on the single runtime installation external users so that they do not have to reset their passwords when first connecting. Wow... Lots and lots of API. Understand that you must set the security with the APEX_UTIL group id. SET_SECURITY_GROUP_ID API takes some time. After much wandering around, I settled on the apex_util API and the WWV_FLOW_USERS view as a good place to study...

However, when we query the view WWV_FLOW_USERS on each side, all of the columns "expected" that one would expect because of this behavior are identical between the installation of development / internal enforcement and the only external runtime installation. Things like CHANGE_PASSWORD_ON_FIRST_USE and FIRST_PASSWORD_USE_OCCURRED are identical (and btw, not the values that you expect them to be... FIRST_PASSWORD_USE_OCCURRED is N for all users except the user ADMIN). The only values that differ between the two environments are as CREATED_BY, CREATION_DATE, LAST_UPDATED_DATE, and LAST_UPDATED_BY columns.

    Things that work just great:

< li > the installation itself! Very easy to move backward between each environment (runtime only or runtime and development).
< Li > integration with SQL/Developer is fantastic. It is very cool to be able to right-click on an application in the internal environment and deploy it to the unique runtime environment. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to move workspaces APEX in the same way.

Things that do not seem to be large:

< Li > when that documentation tells you what each API, it doesn't tell you why you want to use it, or what you would use it for. Having a section "useful use case" in the documentation would be great. Yes, there is the example of code (which of course does not mention that you need to set the id of Group of security for most of them to work), but the code example is not really tell you why and what each of the attributes you can set with her (for the API set for example) will actually... For example the documentation does not really that many fields are not yet used, and even if the values are the exact opposite of what you would think they would be.

    So, my immediate question:

What API will allow me to have users exported with a workspace to use applications that are authenticated in a single installation of runtime?

    And my follow-up question (s):

You can actually use the API defined to manage a runtime environment and is at - it a good resource that explains the how and why rather than just the choice of the API.

Well, after a lot of trying things, I finally had things to work.

It seems that export and import a workspace "expires" users to your workspace. Despite the fact that, in the development environment / the ACCOUNT_EXPIRY (which is a date) has a whole bunch of different values and seems to work perfectly, when you import a workspace that the ACCOUNT_EXPIRY column is ready on the date you did import previous internal enforcement. For some reason, this is an indication that your account has expired at the time when you look at the WWV_FLOW_USERS table. Not one of the columns expected, but on the contrary this date column...

So let's take a look at the [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_util.htm#autoId126]Unexpire account of the workspace of the documentation procedure:]

    UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT Procedure

Unexpires developer and workspace administrator accounts and the associated passwords, enabling the developer or administrator to log in to a workspace.

    Syntax

    APEX_UTIL.UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT (
        p_user_name IN VARCHAR2);

    Parameters

Table 21-107 describes the parameters available in the UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT procedure.

    Table 21-107 UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT Parameters
    Parameter Description

p_user_name The user name of the user account

    Example

The following example shows how to use the UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT procedure. Use this procedure to renew (unexpire) an Application Express workspace administrator account in the current workspace. This action specifically renews the account for use by developers or administrators to login to a workspace and may also renew the account for its use by end users to authenticate to developed applications.

This procedure must be run by a user having administration privileges in the current workspace.

    BEGIN
FOR c1 IN (select user_name from wwv_flow_users) loop
            APEX_UTIL.UNEXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT(p_user_name => c1.user_name);
            htp.p('Workspace Account:'||c1.user_name||' is now valid.');
        END LOOP;
    END;

    See Also:
    "EXPIRE_WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT Procedure" and "WORKSPACE_ACCOUNT_DAYS_LEFT Function"

It's very nice and all, but there are some things missing in the example above:

    (1) you must call the procedure of apex_util.set_security_group_id with the ID of the workspace you want to unexpire accounts.
    (2) you will need to issue a COMMIT for steps to engage the unexpire.

Question: How are you supposed to know you need to do the above two steps?

Take a look at what the API documentation has for the description of the SET_SECURITY_GROUP_ID procedure:

    SET_SECURITY_GROUP_ID Procedure
Use this procedure with apex_util.find_security_group_id to ease the use of the mail package in batch mode. This procedure is especially useful when a schema is associated with more than one workspace. For example, you might want to create a procedure that is run by a nightly job to email all outstanding tasks.

Note that there is no mention that you will need to call the SET_SECURITY_GROUP_ID procedure for almost all other API calls in the APEX_UTIL package (or at least many of them)...

It looks like a problem of port

Essbase server listens by default 1423 and essbase apps to listen to a port between 32768 and default 33768. It seems to me that your port 1423 is open, but a firewall is not blocking connections to the essbase apps. Make sure that these ports are available 32768 to 33768.

  • find the right backup of cloning using up the time option

    Hello

I'm trying to create a script to find out what files to backup (backup rman, rman backup control file and archivelogs) are needed to create a clone of production data base lets say for 1 month ago or two weeks ago.

My backups are marked, performed on the disk, but a night job takes the disk backup files and moves them to tape.
So, before I can restore correct correct tape files, I need to know what files to backup should I restore a band.

I could start the clone and she'll tell me it cannot find the files of backup that is named xxx, yyy and it will eventually error and output, but I find the files.
The idea is to find the files before the script (script clone) could not find the right files.

I tried to use the v$ element_sauvegarde, v$ backup_files equivalent rc_ view (s) and tried to join them, but I couldn't find the join columns. I tried stamp column. This gives me some information so I can find the files, but I need to know the approximate duration of the backup.

So my question is: how RMAN queries it sees? (v$ backup %) I couldn't find a link to foreign key between tables.
Here is the result of what I managed to find, but I have to give the approximation of 1 hour (1 hour before NMR files have been generated and 1 h after) so I could find the controlfile files and the archivelogs rman backup files.

    Hello

I tried to use the v$ element_sauvegarde, v$ backup_files equivalent rc_ view (s) and tried to join them, but I couldn't find the join columns. I tried stamp column. This gives me some information so I can find the files, but I need to know the approximate duration of the backup.
So my question is: how RMAN queries it sees? (v$ backup %) I couldn't find a link to foreign key between tables.

If your question is only to reach the point of view.
Then a tip: you should always join columns (STAMP and COUNTY)

    for example

    bs_stamp
    bs_count

  • CF8/64-bit/MultiServer configuration

I'm experimenting with setting up a configuration to several servers in CF8 64-bit on Windows Server 2008 64-bit, I found thanks to several useful articles on the topic.  I have the complete basic menu, but what I find is that when I create my trial in the management authority, this instance is MUCH slower than it should be.  It is immediately noticeable, going into the CF Admin on the new instance (port 8301) compared to the initial installation of CFUSION (the default when you configure instances of).  Everything is slow - loading the page, the image loading, etc.  I threw a single index.cfm page with a single cfoutput in the root directory of the main facility and in the folder cfusion.ear/cfusion.war for the instance, and it was also much slower to open (several times) in the new instance.

Because everything is slower, I am inclined to blame IIS7, but before I go through the trouble to install Apache, I thought I'd see if anyone had run into this.  Another candidate might be installing on 64-bit, but I thought that all paired very well.  Is there a specific JVM that works better on 64-bit Windows?

My goal is to have 2-3 CF instances running on this server (which has 10 GB of RAM), so I can have isolated JVM heap to run big night jobs that tend to create memory problems if they are running on the same instance.  If each instance might have its own code base.

Speaking of that part, maybe this is a dumb question, but since I've never worked with single-server installed, I'm not sure.  When I add/edit the CFC and PCM for instances, just update the files in the folder cfusion.ear/cfusion.war for this instance (in the directory jrun4/servers), or is there something you have to do to package and deploy?  I used Tomcat JSP Apps before and I hate that, so I hope that is nothing like that.

I appreciate any suggestions anyone can provide.

Well, I don't think you can blame IIS. You indicate that you have put the files to test in the root Web of CF (this cfusion.ear/cfusion.war folder that you mention). Those who are only served by the built-in web server port (8301, in your case). If IIS is not involved in these pages by serving.

You confirm that the pages are slow when using this port so when not? And to be clear, you do not use this port, you must run the web server configuration tool to connect to an IIS site given to a given instance (your new) CF. If you do this, it may be interesting to see if there was a difference. (To be clear, that if you connect to an instance of an IIS site, you would then put the test CFML pages in the IIS docroot, not webroot CF).

That said, I think that the problem is really related to the web server. It is possible, but I think first of all other things. For example, if you enable debugging output CF, does show that in fact the slowness in time spent moving on?  It may not, but again, it is the first thing to check.

And since you are running Enterprise (or developer, which is the only way to execute multiserver), then you also have the CF Server Monitor. If you open that and turn on the "start control", there is a UI option to show you the "request slow", that might help you also confirm if time is really "at the CF. If this is the case, then I will add that there are still other tools in the monitor (or tools like FusionReactor and SeeFusion) that might help to identify more precisely why a page is slow. But before we dig into that, let's see what you're saying above.

Now, on another topic, you ask if it could be the JVM: it's possible. You say you're on CF8. Tell 8.0.1, specifically? In both cases, the JVM that came with them was an early version of 1.6. Following the release of CF8 and 8.0.1, Sun discovered and fixed a bug and update of the JVM. People found this JAVA virtual machine may indeed be better. I would be surprised that you will notice that with just a simple test page, but it may be worth investigating. See a many out there on blog entries the upgrade of the JVM in CF. you want to go at least 1.6.0.10 (and you want the JDK not JRE). In addition, although Sun currently offers a jour.21, some people have reported problems avec.20, so you can think twice going very high.

Here's an old Technote Adobe on the updating of the JVM for CF: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/547/2d547983.html, but pay special attention to how he treats that briefly how with the MultiServer edition, where you can edit the following. The screenshot shown only works on a deployment server edition. You can also find other blog entries talking about the process, such as http://www.coldfusionmuse.com/index.cfm/2009/6/11/upgrade.ColdFusion.JVM. There are still others who talk about the demotion from 1.6 to 1.5 (before they learned that the jvm bug fix). Their info can be useful too, but don't go back 1.5!

Oh, and here's where find versions of the JDK oldest: http://java.sun.com/products/archive/ (and for you, don't forget to choose a 64-bit).

But even once, prior to this surgery, let us know what you find above simple tests.

Your last question, know where to put the code, once again, remember my point above FC vs IIS web of roots. If you have different IIS web sites for different instances, note that you could technically say IIS to have different IIS sites are pointing to the same docroot location. You want a reason any instead use web server integrated (such as port 8301), then Yes you will need to copy the code among the different webroots for different instances. (Technically, you can also change the configuration of the built-in web server to define a mapping that could point each single web server in different instances to a shared doc directory. Never do. I blogged about this issue in 2002: http://cfmxplus.blogspot.com/2002/08/running-cfmx-code-outside-default.html).

For people who may have struggles dealing with issues like these, I note that there are different companies, including me, who can help you. I keep a list to http://www.cf411.com#cfassist

  • All-in-one HP Deskjet 2450: remains of timeout MHz job type pays A (format 10 × 20, 5 cm)?

    Hello

Remains of timeout MHz job pays type A (format 10 × 20, 5 cm)?

    Hi @jožin,

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I saw your post I was wondering how to print Type A format 10 cm, with your printer HP Deskjet 2450 x20.5. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

I am assuming you meant the HP Deskjet 2540 and not the Photosmart HP 2450, am I correct? If this isn't the case, please let me know the exact type of printer you have.

According to your specifications of the printer, is not a supported paper size / type. Supported formats and the types of paper supported are:

Type of paper - paper size
  • Nightly rollup error - bad record has been read

Performance of AA 5.4.3 with the latest service pack. Received this error while the accumulation of every night was happening to one of our groups:

CompleteAdding cannot be used at the same time as additions to the collection. Repository error: incorrect record was read. The repository can be unavailable or corrupted

The repository is not full.  I've been slowly down the space used by delaying the totals for a few days to let the deletions to run.  Finally, I ran a check for deposit this weekend.

ROLLUP still work although there is now only a rollup thread that runs instead of two.

I intend running a check for deposit when the update rollup is complete.  Anyone have any ideas on the issue.

    Hi Alpha162,

Thanks for your question.  Incorrect records / corruption should not occur only from repository space dipping below 10 percent but becomes less free space increases the risk of failure of task such as rollup and repository maintenance tasks.  Over time this could have a negative effect, so the 10% guideline is a notice to allow customers to extend the repository, archive data on or apply a stricter retention policy.  10% is a figure of the right orientation to watch in all of your deposits and AppAssure SMTP alerts can be a great help with this.

Broader patterns of corruption can vary considerably, but interrupted rollup jobs because of unexpected stops or connectivity between the heart and the repository issues are common problems.   Another frequent problem can be environmental issues.  The speed of the underlying disk where the repository is very, very important.  Repositories based NAS suffer more problems that directly attached storage, often when the design limits have been exceeded or praising the memory is too small.

The current version of 5.4.3.106 has been very stable, so I hope that your current experiences were better.  I'm a big supporter also approach "backup backup" and have a core of replica or archive (cloud or disk) can be a huge advantage to complete a standard basic configuration.

    Best regards

What will do to make desktop computers will be exit during this upgrade? I put all the desktops into maintenance mode before the host trys to remedy?

This part of a cluster DRS ESX Server? If not you will need to manually stop or vmotion the VMS to another ESX host before it can go into maintenance mode - if it's part of a DRS DRS cluster must be set fully automated so DRS can automatically vmotion the VMs before entering maintenance mode.

  • Gateway Timeout problem

With the help of a MacBook Pro 13' (mid-2012) El Capitan (Version 10.11.1). running

Usually living abroad, came home last night and managed to connect my computer to the internet WiFi and my parents very well. Could access any Web site, ran perfectly. This morning I started having a problem where I can open only a small number of websites (Facebook, Youtube, Google, Apple, Wikipedia), another Web site gives me a ' Gateway Timeout: unable to connect to the remote host " message, even large reputable (NYT, etc.)."

    Here are the facts:

    • MacBook connects to the WiFi
    • MacBook restarted, the problem persisted
    • Reset the router (FRITZ!) 6360 Box cable, German provider is Unitymedia)-online everything has worked again for about 2 minutes, and then the problem comes back
    • All other computers/phones in the House has no problem, can access any Web site
    • Connected my MacBook to the Ether, has worked well. Yet once unplugged and tried WiFi problem returned. Ethernet plugged back in (with WiFi off), now, even the ethernet gives me the same problem
    • Software antiVirus Sophos's active and firewall settings and Web Protection were not yet activated (no idea why)
    • First time this question has occurred (connected to this dozens of times network and worked very well, but with the Mavericks) and has produced at night - everything worked fine yesterday and I am not aware of having made changes to anything.

Found a thread with a person having a similar problem on another forum of support, but in his case, all its devices had the question so that, in our House, everything works but my MacBook. So I doubt that it is a problem with the provider or router.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    AntiVirus software is Sophos.

Uninstall completely and evaluate the results.

Use the Remove Sophos Anti-virus program. It will be installed in the folder Applications on your Mac, unless you have moved or deleted. In this case, follow the instructions in uninstalling here: https://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/122710.aspx. Beware that the effectiveness of the uninstall program is poor, a typical feature of garbage software.

  • Timeout when using Modbus vi

    Hello

I develop a .vi that queries data from two separate flow meters and a N - A via Modbus converter.  The interface on the flowmeters are set to 111 address and cannot be changed, so I can't use the same master to get the data of the two flowmeters.

Ive attached a picture of the code for reference. Ive included only the part of Modbus to not confuse the issue.

The problem is, when I change the schedule of the loop to 5 seconds, I take the readings of modbus timeout error 61 and loops from re - connect try but can't re - connect to them. When the time is 3 seconds or faster, they work perfectly.  4 seconds, I get an intermittent error, and the case of re - connect works fine.

3 seconds or less = works very well

    4 seconds = occasional errors

    5 seconds = no job.

I'm not an expert in Modbus with certainty.  So please excuse my messy code.  I intend to clean it once I get it working correctly.

My flowmeters are RS - 485, 38 400 baud, Modbus RTU.  They connect to modules of ADAM 4017 I use the Modbus TCP to connect to.  The A/D converter is also of Modbus RTU and its on the same circuit as the MMin counter and its address is 3.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. I can reach the entire .vi if necessary.

First of all, I wanted to note that it looks like you are using a different API the API OR-supported Modbus, to take my answers with a grain of salt.

A complete shot in the water, it is possible that the device that you communicate through a form of communication for a period otherwise it goes into a resting State after the connection. For example, if you do a Modbus TCP connection and then no communication occurs for more than 4 seconds, the slave goes into an idle state. This doesn't seem like a problem. likely, but it's something to look at. Due to the fact that I'm not familiar with the API you are using, I don't think that there is much more that I can recommend.

    Hello @art212,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand when you print a document of several pages, it stops printing after the second page using the Officejet 4630. I will do my best to help you! I need to ask you some questions to clarify this issue:

What is your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?
How is the printer connected? USB or wireless?

  • Can't cancel print job

My print monitor gives me the message: "cannot delete"nomdefichier.pdf"Job #255 is already cancelled - cannot cancel."

General information: I used our printer range color M375nw MFP HP LaserJet 300 for the last 4 months with a Wi - Fi and it played beautifully. We ship these jobs for PC and Mac. Last night, I sent several files of my iMac to print; in the middle of the process, the printer ran out of ink. I changed the toner and began to print again. The first file I sent was being in A4 format (which I didn't notice when I sent). The file printed, but was very slow. Then the printer hung up after printing a different file. I tried to cancel printing the monitor said was the next file in the queue, but I got the message "job #255 is already cancelled - cannot cancel.»  I was able to cancel all remaining work in the queue, but not this particular task. I restarted my Mac and the HP printer, nothing helps. We have been able to print from other devices (a laptop and an iPad) but my iMac is recalcitrant.  I am able to connect to the printer, but cannot delete this work. Any suggestions on how to clear this work will be most appreciated.

P.S. This thread has been moved from LaserJet Compatible Macintosh - moderator Forums of HP products

You can try to remove the printer from the Mac and then recreate it with the same driver and settings.
