• When I click to open thunderbird but the e-mail window does not appear until the icon shows the app closed, how to fix this?

  To start thunderbird, I click on the quick start on my toolbar icon, it highlights that if beginner, then a few seconds later, returns to the closed state. No e-mail window never appears on the screen. When I check the Task Manager, thunderbird does not appear in the list of running applications, but one or two processes show running on the Details tab (one first process by clicking on the icon, and then another if I right click and try to open one of the windows in option). I am running Windows 8.1. It worked well earlier in the day, so I have no idea what happened past. Restart the PC does not help the issue. How can I get the windows thunderbird appears on the screen again? If I can't, please send the instructions to backup all the associated email and address profile information so I did not lose anything... then uninstall and reinstall thunderbird and restore all the info related to my current profile.   Thanks for the reply... still not sure what happened, but I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling bird t. Everything is back to normal after that. So your solution can work, but I don't have the chance to try it. My solution, but is not ideal, was effective and the problem was solved.

  Hello.. I'm using windows vista on a computer acer laptop. Today I have been updated from my iphone and press the eject button as itunes tells us to do. Then I tried to update my inano and he would not recognize it when I plugged into the USB port. When I checked it appeared that my iphone is still connected. I stopped him, left and a few hours after I got home, I got a blue screen on my laptop with orders written about it. So I ctrl-alt-del and started in normal mode and it started. Now I have an icon 'remove hardware safely' in my taskbar and have no idea why its there. Can someone help me? THX

  The icon is normally so it was probably worth hide if inactive and because of
  the incident you said he was not idle. It should sooner or later hides.

  To check its setting - right click on taskbar - properties - Notification area - customize.

• Why the ToolTip appears on the icons in the taskbar while I'm hovering my cursor over them?

  The icons on my taskbar are always "hovering on" even when my mouse is no where near them. This led to the convening of the ToolTips and previews sometimes aero that may interfere with the current view of program delivery. What I noticed on this subject, is that it is always the last icon makes my cursor contact with before moving outside of the taskbar that makes the ToolTip or aero preview appear. Is it just a registry problem? How can I fix? This has happened for a while. Reboots don't work. I checked for malware and spyware without any results.

  The blog of the developers who worked on it, said that it is a corruption of the video buffer that it animates to the effect of 'fade away' of the menu item.  This could explain why it happens more so a program that already if interface with the video driver broke down.

  If the latest drivers for your video card don't solve it, you can mitigate it by disabling the animation (so the menu just hard disappears instead of disappear, so nothing gets stuck in the buffer of acceleration).  You could also disable hardware acceleration graphics, but which would be a big performance hit.

• Mcagent always appearing in the icon notifications, even after uninstalling.

  Good if Mcafee came with my Dell PC, but I had planned on using a different program. So I decided to uninstall Mcafee, with the use of the Mcafee removal tool. It has eliminated virtually all but Mcagent notification icon (mcagent.exe) still appeared in the customization area, where you can select options for the programs of the different icon. I really want to get Mcagent my PC off and read things, but I really don't know how and don't want to spoil things. If it helps, I'm Windows 8, and I didn't run the tool to remove in safe mode, you may think that if I ran it in safe mode that could do the trick?

  In order to uninstall Mcafee mcagent.exe or any which part of you must run Mcafee uninstaller

  Well, if you read my question, you would see that I already used the uninstall program, without success. However, I already solved this problem with the use of a 3rd party application, which removes the notification icons, when they are left behind by uninstalled apps. Thanks for the help though.

  Yes, the .exe files is displayed in the Notification area.  You would have seen the same behavior when using McAfee (mcagent.exe).   Some program adds a program's icon to the notification area.   IPoint.exe belonging to Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center, it is not advisable to remove it, instead, you can simply hide the notification.

  To hide an icon from the notification area
  a. press the Windows key + W, Notificationtype, select Notification area icons.

  b. click on the drop-down menu that appears next to the icon and choose Hide icon and Notifications.

  c. click on OK.

  When you view a collection images with an icon of the collection are ALSO in another collection.  Images with no icon of the collection are ONLY in the displayed collection.

  Thanks for posting with us.  I suggest try to start safe mode and see if it works correctly.  If Yes, then you can start using the "last known good configuration."   If in Safe Mode, you have the same problem, you should run chkdsk /r and sfc/scannow.  Here are the instructions for these suggestions.  Post back with the results.

• Try to change the appearance of the icon

  Try to delete all of your history in Internet Explorer. All favicons that are used for Web site shortcuts icons are stored in the temporary internet files.

  In Internet Explorer:

  • Click on tools
  • Click on Internet Options
  • Click on delete
  • Select everything you need to remove, and then click OK

  It's true - second one is def the tabletype. No cluster, which is inside the table.

• I.e. pages do not appear entirely the icons and colors. Web site MS watch blue header and my white laptop lounge. Other problems are the objects are hidden.

  Pages are only 80% finished. Boxes, icons, logos, colors etc. are not displayed. Drivers have been updated in this dell laptop running XP Media. Just seems like IE is corrupt or something. Offline has no problem for all programs running only online. Miss me things on several sites, and do not even know what he or she is.

  If the laptop is next to my XP desktop I can compare and confirm all of this. I tried several fixes and adjustments. It my be a screen resolution setting, but played with this also nothing helped. No of the topics Windows actually correspond to this issue.

  Try to reset and restore your settings of internet explorer, close Internet explorer, click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> Internet Options-> Advanced-> click on restore advanced settings and reset (Tickmark remove personal...).

  Also try to delete your browser history.

  I have a problem that I feel can have a simple solution, but I don't know where to look.  My glyphs no longer appear in the icon editor, and yet they are present in the correct on my computer folder.  In my view, a path may have got changed somewhere that points to that folder, but there is nothing that I could find in the editor or VI properties.  Maybe too much, I looked at something and it is more obvious as it seems.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
